Review: Garnier Fructis Damage Repairing Hair Mask
Here’s my review on Garnier Fructis Damage Repairing Hair Mask! I’ve been meaning to get to this mask. I just finished it. Here are my thoughts on it!
The purpose of this hair mask is to nourish and repair damaged hair. Make it softer and smoother without weighing it down. This hair mask contains 98% naturally derived ingredients. It contains papaya extract. No silicones, parabens, and artificial colorants.
How to use? There are 3 ways to use this hair mask. That is as a hair mask, hair conditioner, and as a leave-in treatment. As a hair mask, use the hair mask after shampooing. Apply the product onto wet hair and leave it on for 1 minute. Rinse afterwards. As a conditioner, after shampooing, apply the product from the root to tip. As a leave-in treatment, apply the product onto damp hair for frizz control and color protection.
I tried all 3 methods. Here’s my experience with this product.
The texture and consistency of the product isn’t too rich or thick. I’ve used other hair masks/conditioners that are thicker, richer, and heavier on the hair. This one was pretty decent in consistency. It also has a nice smell to it. It’s fruity and pleasant. So I tried all three methods as mentioned. Out of the three, I prefer using it as a leave-in treatment. It takes only 1 minute to use. That’s what I did at first. Since I love experimenting to see what works for me. I tried leaving the product in my hair for longer than a minute. I tried leaving it on for 5-10 minutes. I preferred leaving the product in my hair much longer, since I have dry ends. After rinsing the product out of my hair, my hair didn’t feel greasy or heavy. It didn’t weigh my hair down (yess!!!). I really don’t like it when products make my hair flat. But, I wasn’t a fan of the overall results of this product. I love the smell and all, but it didn’t deliver results. At least for my hair type. It didn’t help moisturize my hair. It only felt moisturizing when I was applying the product to my hair. Afterwards, not so much. I wanted a hair product that would moisturize and make my hair feel softer and smoother. This didn’t do much of that. Also, after drying my hair, it felt like the product sat on my hair and left a layer of product over my hair strands. It felt like it coated my hair with plastic. My hair felt like straw after a few hours. By the end of the day, it looked and felt really gross. It didn’t matter how I used the product, my results were pretty much the same. My hair just didn’t feel or look good. Maybe the formula of the product isn’t for my hair type. I don’t know. All I know is that it didn’t work for me. I’m just really happy that I finished it. I won’t be purchasing it again.

Review: Trader Joe’s Shea Butter & Coconut Oil Hair Mask
I’ve been using Trader Joe’s Shea Butter & Coconut Oil Hair Mask for a little over a month. Time sure flies! I love deep conditioning hair treatments. They provide intense moisture like no other! Love it! This deep conditioning hair treatment or hair mask contains coconut oil, shea butter oil, vitamin E, argan oil, sunflower seed extract, and pro-vitamin B5. The ingredients sound enriching and moisturizing. I need that type of intense moisture and have been searching for something along those lines! My hair has been a mess as of late. I can’t seem to find the right hair care products for my hair type! I’ve bounced from one shampoo and conditioner to the next. From Trader Joe’s Tea Tree Tingle Shampoo and Conditioner to Trader Joe’s Nourish Spa Shampoo and Conditioner. Now, I can’t wait to finish the Nourish Spa Shampoo and Conditioner. I recently just purchased a new set of hair care products called Yes To Detoxifying Charcoal Shampoo & Conditioner. I honestly can’t wait to use it!
Trader Joe’s Shea Butter & Coconut Oil Hair Mask is thick and creamy in consistency. It’s very easy to dispense from the tube and use. It’s not runny. Yay! That’s a good thing. My last deep conditioning hair treatment Garnier Fructis Smoothing Treat 1 Minute Hair Mask + Avocado Extract was very gel-like in texture. It would slip out of my hands whenever I used it. A good product but messy. So, does Trader Joe’s Shea Butter & Coconut Oil Hair Mask work? The answer is YES!! It is very hydrating. I am happy to say that it does smooth out the hair! This hair mask is perfect for people with dry, damaged hair. My hair felt soft, silky, and healthy after each use! Besides using it as a hair mask, I also used it as an everyday conditioner. All I need is a little bit of product to condition, moisturize my hair. It works wonders! The reason why I do this is because my Nourish Spa Conditioner does a really poor job at hydrating my hair. ? The hair mask seems to get the job done for the time being until I find something better. I would definitely purchase Trader Joe’s Shea Butter & Coconut Oil Hair Mask again. It’s very affordable too and not tested on animals. ?

I have a new hair mask! I’m running low on Garnier Fructis Hair Mask Avocado (reviewed yesterday, check it out!). It’s time to try something new. ? Since I’m practically addicted to Trader Joe’s beauty products, I picked up Trader Joe’s Shea Butter & Coconut Oil Hair Mask when I was shopping at Trader Joe’s.

I stumbled across Trader Joe’s Shea Butter & Coconut Oil Hair Mask at my local Trader Joe’s. I was in need for a new hair mask! As I mentioned earlier, I was running low on Garnier Fructis Hair Mask Avocado. It was a good hair mask, but I’m pretty adventurous when it comes to beauty products. This hair mask focuses on shea butter and coconut oil as the main moisturizers. The first two ingredients after water in these hair care products are shea butter and coconut oil (ingredient list above). I’m a huge fan of shea butter-based hair care products. I’ve never had any problems with this ingredient alone. So, I’m very excited for this deep conditioning treatment! I’ve been giving my hair some love for the past month, and I LOVE IT! Some other hair moisturizers I have been using are OGX Argan Oil of Morocco Penetrating Oil and Trader Joe’s Spa 100% Pure Jojoba Oil. My hair feels super soft and looks so much healthier than before! I’m totally addicted now!

I used the Garnier Fructis Hair Mask Avocado as a 1 minute hair mask and a conditioner only. A leave-in would make my hair look flat and lifeless. I have dry hair (especially at the ends), but too much moisture makes my hair look greasy and unclean. So, it’s been 1 month of using Garnier Fructis Hair Mask Avocado. I can’t believe it’s been that long! Time sure flies by quick when you’re not counting the days! I must do a review now before I use it all up! I’m close to an empty jar! Here it goes!
Garnier Fructis Hair Mask Avocado has a gel/cream-like consistency (photos above). I thought it would be more cream-like upon opening the jar and sometimes I wish it was. The gel/cream texture is kind of weird. It breaks up into blobs (if that makes any sense, lol). It’s also very slippery, so it has fallen out of my hands a couple of times when I’m using it. The fragrance is wonderful and sweet. It leaves my hair smelling clean and feeling good. Also, it leaves my dry hair feeling and looking softer. It works as a hair mask and a conditioner. It does what it’s supposed to do, and that’s moisturizing dry hair! It works! This hair mask is vegan. No animal by-products. Sadly, Garnier is owned by L’Oreal, so they do test on animals. ?

My Thoughts:
Tonight, I used Garnier Frutis Hair Mask Avocado hoping it’ll get my hair back to its original state. I used the first method: 1 Minute Hair Mask. I applied after shampoo and timed it for 1 minute. It’s pretty cool that this mask doesn’t take that long. 1 minute is easily doable, especially for people that don’t have the time to wait. Most hair masks require you to leave the product on for about 10 minutes and possibly up to 30 minutes. Some, even longer. My hair felt a little better after I used it. But, you know, I’m not going to jump to conclusions yet. I’ll continue to use the hair mask and report back soon.
