My Skin Care Routine to Fight Acne!

My Skin Care Routine to Fight Acne!

I think it’s time for a skin care routine update. My last update was a month ago. I have transitioned my skin care routine from summer to fall. This is what I’m using now.

#1. Face Wash: Trader Joe’s Spa Face Wash with Tea Tree Oil

I’ve been using Trader Joe’s Spa Face Wash with Tea Tree Oil for 2 months. This face wash works on my oily, acne-prone skin. I have so many good things to say about it! It removes sebum without leaving any residue behind. It visually brightens my complexion. My skin looks more even-toned and literally glows after I use it. I’ve received tons of compliments on my complexion. I’ve been asked what I’ve been doing to have such nice skin. Shhhhh. It’s a secret between you and me. 😉

#2. Moisturizers: Trader Joe’s Hyaluronic Moisture Boost SerumTrader Joe’s Spa 100% Pure Jojoba Oil

Moisturizing is very important for healthy skin.

I have two moisturizers. They are Trader Joe’s Hyaluronic Moisture Boost Serum (left) and Trader Joe’s Spa 100% Pure Jojoba Oil (right).

I’ve been using Trader Joe’s Hyaluronic Moisture Boost Serum for 2.5 weeks. I’m half-way done with the serum. I love this serum. It does a great job at lightly moisturizing my skin without clogging my pores. An awesome lightweight moisturizer for oily, acne-prone skin. I highly recommend checking it out if you fall under that category.

As for Trader Joe’s Spa 100% Pure Jojoba Oil, I can’t believe it’s working out for me. It’s been amazing having this non-greasy oil in my skin care routine. I didn’t think it would work, but it has! I’ve been using it in the morning and night as a moisturizer. Love! ❤ It’s pure and natural.

#3. Sunblock: Differin Oil-Control Moisturizer with SPF 30

The same ‘ol sunblock — Differin Oil-Control Moisturizer with SPF 30. It hasn’t caused me to break out in acne. It works. I will stick with it. In the meantime, I’m still on the look out for a vegan, cruelty-free SPF! Any recommendations? Leave a comment.

#4. Facial Scrub: Trader Joe’s Blueberry & Acai Facial Scrub

Exfoliate for a clearer, smoother complexion!

Trader Joe’s Blueberry & Acai Facial Scrub is a new addition to my skin care routine. I’ve used it roughly 3 times already. And I think it’s working! At first, it caused me to break out in large pimples. This was expected from an AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) product though. I was wondering what the heck was going on with my skin. I was fully clear and all of a sudden…BAM! ACNE! I figured it was the facial scrub due to its exfoliating properties. After that phase, my skin started to shed. Voila! New skin underneath! With this facial scrub, I’m going to decrease my use from 3x to 2x a week. This stuff is strong! I didn’t expect that.

I’m trying my best to move towards vegan, cruelty-free skin care products. I am very happy to have found lots that work on my oily, problematic skin! I will continue to do so. 🐰 How about you? What skin care products do you use in your skin care routine? Share! Have any questions on any of these skin care products? Feel free to ask! Thank you for reading. ✌
