Trader Joe’s Blueberry & Acai Facial Scrub

Here’s my new facial scrub! It’s from Trader Joe’s. It’s called Trader Joe’s Blueberry & Acai Facial Scrub. I am very excited to share my new facial scrub with everyone! This is my first time using it. I’m happy you’re all here to witness it. Let’s get started! ?

Trader Joe’s Blueberry & Acai Facial Scrub, In Box:

This is what Trader Joe’s Blueberry & Acai Facial Scrub looks like in its original box. Silver and purple are the colors. I didn’t find the packaging too aesthetically appealing. The ingredients caught my eye more — Blueberry & Acai. Sounds delish!

Unboxing Trader Joe’s Blueberry & Acai Facial Scrub:

Here’s the Blueberry & Acai Facial Scrub unboxed. The lid is a sleek silver color. It’s easy to twist off and close shut after use. The jar itself is made of glass. The facial scrub looks very intriguing and yummy. It makes me want to eat it. Nomzz!!

Using Trader Joe’s Blueberry & Acai Facial Scrub:

More views of Trader Joe’s Blueberry & Acai Facial Scrub in my bathroom. I always use facial scrubs at night before I go about my night skin care regime. Never in the morning. I don’t want my newly exfoliated skin exposed to the harsh UV rays anyways.

So excited. Ready? Trader Joe’s Blueberry & Acai Facial Scrub.

When I applied the facial scrub to my skin, I can feel the blueberry seeds and colloidal oatmeal on my skin. That’s what it is from the ingredients listed. It may seem like the blueberry seeds and colloidal oatmeal is doing the exfoliation. It’s not. It’s the alpha hydroxy acids in this skin care product. They are citric acid, malic acid, and lactic acid. If you have cuts or scratches (for example, from acne) on your skin, I don’t recommend using this facial scrub until the wounds heal. As for effectiveness, I’m not sure if Trader Joe’s Blueberry & Acai Facial Scrub exfoliates my skin. I haven’t used it long enough to notice. There weren’t any apparent changes in my skin after using it either, but I really do enjoy using it due to the smell of it. It smells SO GOOD! Like a bowl of fruity goodness. Mmm! Also, this facial scrub is very gentle on the skin and didn’t leave my skin dry and flaky. Good, good. The only thing that has bothered me so far with this facial scrub is that it’s packaged in a jar. The ingredients in this product are sensitive to light and oxygen. I have no idea how truly effective it is. We will see. Since I already have the facial scrub, I will continue to use it 3 times a week. I chose 3 because my skin benefits from exfoliation (oily, acne skin). I’ll give it a chance and see how it goes.
