Here’s my review on Garden of Life Raw Organic Protein Chocolate! It’s been a while since I’ve talked about it. You can check out my introduction to Garden of Life Raw Organic Protein Chocolate here. I’m going to begin by saying that chocolate is possibly the best thing that has ever existed on earth. I love it. This chocolate protein powder tastes better than Orgain Organic Plant Based Protein Powder! They’re both good, but I like Garden of Life a little bit more. Just because they’re both chocolate flavored, doesn’t mean they taste the same. They have different formulas, so they are different in taste.
The texture of Garden of Life Raw Organic Protein Chocolate is soft and easy to blend into protein shakes. I can easily intensify the chocolate flavor by adding cocoa powder (shown above, mmm!!). It works out great, and I enjoy making my protein shakes even more chocolaty than it is. Super delicious!! Since Garden of Life is presweetened with organic erythritol and organic stevia leaf extract (zero calorie sweeteners), adding fruit isn’t necessary. But, I love fruit in my protein shakes, so I add them in most of the time. Bananas are a favorite of mine to add to protein shakes.
What’s so awesome about Garden of Life is that it also provides health benefits that I love for everyday use. It contains probiotics, enzymes, vitamins, and minerals — what many other protein powders lack — even my Trader Joe’s Organic Pea Protein Powder Unsweetened! With the pros, there are cons. For some, this particular protein powder may come off as artificial tasting. I think it tastes a lot better compared to other chocolate protein powders I have used before. Also, as mentioned earlier, it contains zero calorie sweeteners, such as organic erythritol and stevia leaf extract. Some people may be sensitive to those ingredients. Me, I have no issues with them.
Garden of Life Raw Organic Protein Unflavored vs Garden of Life Raw Organic Protein Chocolate? I would choose the Chocolate. Hands down! After my workouts, I tend to navigate towards the Chocolate more than the Unflavored. It’s going down faster than the Unflavored! I find the Chocolate very convenient to have around. When I have time, I add fruit. When I don’t, I can easily mix it with a plant-based milk or coconut water when I’m on-the-go! I can’t do the same for the Unflavored. I need to blend the Unflavored with some fruit to make it taste at least decent and tolerable to drink. Overall, so far, I’m loving Garden of Life Raw Organic Protein Supplements. Besides the Unflavored and Chocolate, they also offer two more flavors. They are Vanilla and Vanilla Chai. I already ordered some to try out, lol. Coming up next!
Have you tried Garden of Life Raw Organic Protein Unflavored or Chocolate Protein Supplement? Did you like them? Have you tried Vanilla or Vanilla Chai? Which ones are your favorite? Share your thoughts by leaving a comment. 😊
