More protein snacks to review! Trust me, I’ve gone through soooo many of them! It’s all about the proteinz! 👌 Today, I’m going to do a review on two flavors from SimplyProtein Chips. They are BBQ Tomato and Herb & Garlic.

SimplyProtein Chips (BBQ Tomato):

#1. BBQ Tomato:

I was looking forward to trying the BBQ Tomato from SimplyProtein. I love BBQ flavored snacks! Mmmm. These chips were puffy with a crunchy texture. The flavor wasn’t BBQ-y to me. It was more of a tomato flavor. Nevertheless, they weren’t that bad, but they weren’t great either. Meh. I fall somewhere in the middle with the BBQ Tomato flavor. If it were the only flavor left, I would go for it.

#2. Herb & Garlic:

I was very reluctant to try the Herb & Garlic. I’m not big on garlic flavored snacks, but I thought I would give it a chance first. The Herb & Garlic tasted like sweet onions. It kind of reminded me of Funyuns. Funyuns are onion-flavored corn chips (if you didn’t know), but it had a tougher texture. Just like the BBQ Tomato, the Herb & Garlic were puffy and crunchy. They were good. These chips left my breath with the worst onion, garlicky smell ever though. I wouldn’t be able to put up with that in my life, lol. This would work for someone that loves onions and garlic! And doesn’t mind having onion/garlic breath. haha.

Nutrition Facts:

Ingredients: Pea protein chips (pea protein isolate, dehydrated potato flakes, potato starch, salt, calcium carbonate), organic canola oil, natural cane sugar, seasoning (garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, dill weed, black pepper, lemon oil and turmeric).

Protes Protein Chips or SimplyProtein Chips? For some reason, I like SimplyProtein Chips more. I’m not big on the structure and texture of the SimplyProtein Chips though. They remind me of dog food, lol. I’m very hesitant eating these in public for that reason. I think the flavors are a lot better compared to Protes Protein Chips. Protes has that burnt taste to it. The BBQ Tomato and Herb & Garlic weren’t that bad. It’s just not for me. If you’re looking for vegan chips with a punch of protein, give them a try to see if you like them! On to the next flavors! Spicy Chili and Sea Salt & Cracked Pepper! Have you tried SimplyProtein Chips? BBQ Tomato? Herb & Garlic? Any other flavors? Share your experience! Instead of protein chips, try some protein cookies ~ *Lenny & Larry’s The Complete Cookie*!! 😉
