It’s been 3 weeks using Aveeno Positively Radiant Skin Brightening Facial Cleanser. Here are my thoughts on it now!

In the beginning, when I switched over to this new face wash, my skin looked better. After 3 weeks, it went downhill. Even though it did clean my skin better than my previous face wash, it didn’t clean my skin well enough. My skin didn’t feel completely clean. What happened is that I developed acne on my chin, mouth area, and nose. I developed blackheads too. I hardly ever get blackheads. This was odd and quite disappointing. So I’m not going to use this face wash anymore. This face wash is not good for my skin. I decided to jump back into using my face wash that I’ve used for years — Trader Joe’s Tea Tree Face Wash. My skin isn’t as sensitive anymore. I think this face wash should work this time. I hope. *fingers crossed* I’m really excited to start using it. 🙂

Obviously, I don’t think Aveeno Positively Radiant Skin Brightening Facial Cleanser is good for oily, acne skin. Don’t bother with it.

It’s time for me to talk about my new facial cleanser! I had to drop Derma E Hydrating Gentle Facial Cleanser. It wasn’t doing any good for my acne. I noticed random pimples when using it. Now on to my new face wash! It’s Aveeno Positively Radiant Skin Brightening Facial Cleanser. I didn’t expect to try this face wash out. It was a pretty random buy. Here’s more about it!

Review:

It’s been a little over 1 week of using this face wash. The face wash is soft in texture. It comes out as a gel. The product has a shimmery golden sheen to it. That was surprising. I wasn’t expecting that. So this face wash doesn’t lather up. It doesn’t strip the skin either. Good, good. It leaves the skin feeling clean. It removes oils off of my skin without leaving it feeling dry. I noticed a brightening effect for the first few days, but the brightening effect wasn’t as prominent 1 week in. No breakouts from it yet. I really hope it stays that way. I’m liking this face wash more than my previous face wash. It cleans my skin much better and doesn’t dry it out. I know I said that earlier, but it really doesn’t. Just because I have oily skin that doesn’t mean I want to leave my skin feeling dehydrated. My skin needs balance. I think I’m done with Derma E. None of their products work for my skin type. And I’ve tried most of them…
