My First Time: Trader Joe’s Organic Pea Protein Powder Vanilla
Sep. 26, 2018Leave a comment
Hey guys! I’m loving pea protein powders. Pea protein is an awesome protein supplement for vegans. It provides all essential amino acids to build muscle. Cool, right? Why use milk-based protein supplements that will give you digestive distress and acne? Why not choose something more natural and better for you? Pea protein is a smart choice! I LOVE PEA PROTEIN POWDER!! ❤ I enjoy adding it to my post-workout green protein smoothies. Also, as a healthy protein shake for breakfast or even lunch! It’s perfect! I love it! Now, let me guide you through my new protein powder — Trader Joe’s Organic Pea Protein Powder in Vanilla! Here’s an introduction if you missed out!
My Trader Joe’s Organic Pea Protein Powder in Vanilla!
Here’s the container of Trader Joe’s Organic Pea Protein Powder Vanilla. It looks identical to the Unsweetened, except it’s in a different color and vanilla flavored. 🙂
Opening Trader Joe’s Organic Pea Protein Powder Vanilla:
The Vanilla is also properly sealed. That’s a good sign.
Once again, there’s a sealed for your protection liner.
What Trader Joe’s Organic Pea Protein Powder Vanilla looks like. It’s a tad more yellow in color compared to the Unsweetened. 😋
When I opened Trader Joe’s Organic Pea Protein Powder Vanilla, I had to sniff it first. There’s a hint of vanilla to this protein powder like it’s supposed to. The protein powder feels soft, smooth like the Unsweetened. It is finely milled and very nice. The quality is definitely up there. I’m very happy about that. As for the taste, the vanilla flavor is subtle and not overpowering. It’s not sweet whatsoever. I tried mixing it in my green protein smoothie without fruit. I can somewhat taste the vanilla but not by much. Just a tad. I can easily say that it’s barely there. Next, I tried mixing it with fruit. It brought out the vanilla flavor a lot more. Still, it’s not overwhelming at all. With the Vanilla, the aftertaste of pea protein is less prevalent.
So far, I think it’s a good pea protein powder. Keep in mind, it does contain added sugars from Coconut Palm Sugar and Other Natural Flavor. The question is, “Is it necessary to have those ingredients in a daily protein supplement?” I mean, I can barely taste the flavor when I mix it into my green protein smoothie. So, I’m not sure if the Vanilla is right for my lifestyle. I’m fine with using the Unsweetened as long as it works and does the job. That’s something to think about. I could easily shave off 30 calories plus extra ingredients by using the Unsweetened. I think they’re both good pea protein powders. It’s what YOU want in your protein supplement. Me, I think the Unsweetened works just fine. I prefer my protein supplements basic and plain anyways. I can deal with the pea protein aftertaste on a daily basis. It doesn’t bother me much.
What do you think about Trader Joe’s Organic Pea Protein Powder Vanilla? How about Unsweetened? Share your thoughts on them. 😊😊 Don’t forget to check out the Unsweetened version of Trader Joe’s Organic Pea Protein Powder!

MorningStar Farms Buffalo Wings and Chik’n Nuggets

I was at my local grocery store and walked by these. They are MorningStar Farms Buffalo Wings and Chik’n Nuggets. I think they’re new products? Maybe not? I don’t know. Well, they’re new where I usually shop. I’ve never seen them here before. How do I know? I peek at the veggie meat frozen section very often when I walk by, lol. So I KNOW! Just to put this out there, I’m not a big fan of MorningStar Farms meatless meats. I’ve tried some of their vegan meatless products here and there. I thought they were OK but nothing to call home about or come back to. I prefer another brand called Gardein a lot more. Do you have a favorite? Please do share. 🙂 These happened to be from MorningStar Farms, and I didn’t really careeeeee.
When I saw the Buffalo Wings and Chik’n Nuggets, I had to do a double take to make sure I wasn’t seeing an illusion of some sort, haha! I was very ecstatic and all smiles at the same time. All I could think about was tossing them into my shopping cart. I had to try them out NOW! Who doesn’t like Buffalo Wings and Chik’n Nuggets? So. Exciting!! Yay! 🤗 It’s late right now, so I’m going to start off with the Buffalo Wings, and I’m just going to get into the gist of what the Buffalo Wings from MorningStar Farms is all about. I’ll do a review tomorrow. Yes? OK!

Looking at the nutrition facts and ingredients, they’re not the healthiest and pretty processed, buttttt I had to try them out anyways in this lifetime. I must. I’ve had something similar to this at a restaurant before, and it was pretty darn delicious. Even though I don’t miss chicken meat, it tasted like chicken. It was crispy and tender. It was even better than chicken itself! Mmmm! Vegan foods are getting better by the day! I’m telling you guys! I really don’t even know why anyone eats meat anymore. It’s not necessary at all. Well, I’m very excited to share my thoughts on these Buffalo Wings tomorrow with everyone! Stay tuned for my review on them! ✌ ~~ Review: MorningStar Farms Buffalo Wings
