Don’t Eat Dairy if You Want Clear Skin

Milk

I wrote a post on dairy & acne in November. That feels like a year ago. Time sure goes by quick! 🙂 So after a couple of months, I ditched my vegetarian diet because of my love for animals. ♥ The thought of consuming animal by-products made me want to vomit. I’m not even joking. I felt sick to my stomach thinking about it. It got to the point where I couldn’t stand the smell of eggs and dairy. When I stopped eating eggs and dairy, I started to feel better as the days went on. I initially went back to vegan because I didn’t want to contribute to the suffering of animals, but I noticed something else. That was MY SKIN! My skin became less oily. The texture of it changed too. It smoothed out. I usually get a couple of pimples when I go without applying acne cream, but I didn’t. I recently went a week without treating my skin with acne cream, and my skin didn’t react negatively. It got better. My skin remained clear and bright! Since my skin improved, I go without makeup most days of the week. Sometimes, I even go without makeup for weeks! I haven’t changed my diet at all besides eliminating eggs and dairy. So I’m not drinking tons of green smoothies or anything like that. It’s pretty much the same as when I was a vegetarian (just without the eggs and dairy). What else can I say? I’m happy. 🙂 My experience on ditching eggs and dairy has been a positive one. Looking back at my vegan years, my skin was pretty clear compared to my vegetarian years. I’d say vegans have the upper hand when it comes to having beautiful skin. 😊 What’s not to love? Clear skin, saving animals, caring for the environment, good health, having luxurious hair too! I remember I mentioned that my hair is growing out faster than ever! It still is. 🥰 If you want clear, acne-free skin, cut out eggs and dairy. Go vegan! 🐷🌎🏃🏻‍♀️♥

Facial Masks in My Skin Care Routine

Facial steaming has been beneficial for my skin. My pores are cleaner and clearer. My skin feels oh-so-healthy afterwards! After I do a facial steam, I use a face mask. Here’s a list of face masks that I have. I’m sure they’ve been mentioned at one point or another. But here they are…

They are not in any particular order. Here are my thoughts on them.

1. Bliss Mighty Marshmallow Bright & Radiant Whipped Mask

Bliss Mighty MarshMallow Mask 🙂

I’ve been using Bliss Mighty Marshmallow Mask just because I have it. I have 2 jars left. I’m not too crazy about this face mask. It doesn’t brighten the skin at all even though it’s called a ‘Bright & Radiant Whipped Mask’. It’s good at moisturizing the skin when it’s on the skin. Afterwards, the hydration doesn’t last. You’re better off using a moisturizer that’s left on the skin. I wouldn’t buy it again. Save your money.

2. elf Marshmellow Soothing Mask

Another face mask that I’m not too into. It’s the elf Marshmellow Soothing Mask. It doesn’t dry my skin out. It leaves it moisturized and refreshed. Don’t expect anything special from this face mask. I wouldn’t buy it again. Oh, I almost forgot to say, the fragrance is overwheming. To me, at least. If you’re sensitive to fragrance, don’t purchase this.

3. elf Mattifying Mask with French Green Clay

Here’s another face mask from elf. It’s the elf Mattifying Mask with French Green Clay. elf skin care products does a great job at pulling people in due to their price range — they’re cheap! With this face mask, I didn’t see anything special about it. I’m going to use it up and that’s all. Fragrance is an issue with the elf Mattifying Mask too. I don’t like it.

4. Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay Mask

Last but not least, Aztec Secret! I purchased this about a month ago. I wanted a new face mask that helped with my oily skin and acne. I’m really happy that I found this. As someone with breakout-prone skin, this has helped my skin a lot. It has made my skin look and feel less oily afterwards. It’s really good at drying up pimples and pulling out clogged pores too. When it’s on the skin, it has a tightening effect on the skin. This is by far my favorite face mask that I’ve used in a long time. Look forward to more information on this face mask soon. =)
