Review: Hair Food Coconut Milk & Chai Spice Shampoo & Conditioner

I’ve been using Hair Food Coconut Milk & Chai Spice Shampoo & Conditioner ever since I started to color my hair. Check out my hair coloring experiences here:

I needed a sulfate free shampoo and conditioner that won’t strip the color out of my hair. Hair Food Coconut Milk & Chai Spice Shampoo & Conditioner has been working wonderfully. I really like them. The shampoo cleans my hair without making it feel stripped and dried out. It leaves my hair with lots of volume and smelling good. The conditioner isn’t the most moisturizing, but it works well. I like the shampoo a lot more than the conditioner. Perhaps I’ll replace the conditioner with something else when I’m done with it. Who knows. I have no real complaints about these hair care products. They’re good. I will continue to use them and enjoy using them when I wash and condition my hair. 😊

Healthy Eating at Trader Joe’s

Happy Sunday! 🙂 I went to Trader Joe’s today. It was packed! Way too busy for my liking. It makes it harder to shop. It was a sunny and beautiful day. I guess that’s why everyone is out and about. And of course, to replenish their groceries for the week days (like myself). Luckily, I was able to pick up all of the items that I needed.
#1. Trader Joe’s Organic Chia Seed:
I finished my bag of chia seeds a while ago. I was using Nutiva Chia Seed. I haven’t tried Trader Joe’s Organic Chia Seed before. This one is new to me. I think it should work just as good as the other chia seeds I have tried before. Why would it not, right? lol.

I honestly can’t wait to add chia seeds into my Healthy Green Smoothies. Check out my 1 Week Results on drinking Healthy Green Smoothies here. I’m going to replace my Hemp Seeds with Chia Seeds for the next couple of weeks. From there, see how it goes. Also, just to mix it up a little bit! I don’t want to get bored! #2. Trader Joe’s Raw Pecan Halves:
I don’t think I’ve ever went out and purchased pecans. Well, I don’t remember the last time I did. I usually purchase peanuts, almonds, pistachios, and walnuts. The only reason why I picked up pecans is because of my review on the Larabar Pecan Pie. That bar is simply delish! I’ve been eating almonds a lot lately too as my nut of choice. I have a whole jar of it that’s why. Gotta finish them up! I don’t want to get bored eating the same thing every day. I thought I would venture out and top my oatmeal with pecans instead.
The only ingredient is pecan in this bag of Trader Joe’s Raw Pecan Halves. It has lots of healthy, good fats that are good for the heart! I’m very excited for this. It’s going to be a change! Do you like pecans? What is your nut of choice? Just for fun, do you pronounce pecan as pee-can or pee-kahn?
#3. Trader Joe’s Original Non-Dairy Coconut Beverage:
I love coconut milk. I just haven’t gone out of my way for them lately. I’ve been drinking mainly almond milk. It’s easily accessible and affordable where I am. Trader Joe’s Original Non-Dairy Coconut Beverage is an all-time favorite of mine.

Coconut milk can be used in smoothies, protein shakes, as a beverage of choice, baking, and so much more! It’s an awesome milk substitute if you don’t like almond milk, soy milk, oat milk, hemp milk, and so on. Do you like coconut milk? It’s soooo yum!!
#4. Trader Joe’s Unsweetened Organic Soy Non-Dairy Beverage:
Besides coconut milk, Trader Joe’s Unsweetened Organic Soy Non-Dairy Beverage is one of my favorites too. Here’s why. Let’s take a glance at the Nutrition Facts.
- 70 calories per serving
- 300 mg Potassium
- 7 g Protein
- Provides 50% B12!
Soy milk is a very good source of plant-based protein. Trader Joe’s Coconut Milk (above) has 0 g of protein. I love using soy milk in my smoothies and protein shakes to increase my protein intake! Do you like soy milk? There’s a lot of controversy around soy milk and soy products in general. Some people avoid it because of that. I drink it once in a while when I need to mix things up a little bit.
#5. Trader Joe’s Coconut Water:
This is something I purchased on a whim! I haven’t had coconut water in ages. I usually drink plain ‘ol water on a daily basis. I do have a preference on which brands I like when it comes to coconut water. Trader Joe’s isn’t at the top of my list. But, it was there, so I bought it anyways. Coconut water makes a nice, quick post-workout drink or after a good hike!

#6. Trader Joe’s Organic Garbanzo Beans made with Sea Salt:
Lo and behold, more garbanzo beans! I’ve had Trader Joe’s Garbanzo Beans a couple of times in the past. By the way, they’re only 99 cents a can! Cheap! The other ones I purchased were over a dollar. I love beans! Plant-based protein and lots of fiber! So yummy!

- 6 g Dietary Fiber
- 6 g Protein
- 6% Iron
I’m up for some crispy, roasted chickpeas straight out of the oven now! NOMZ!
