Here’s another heavy bar from Larabar. It’s thicker and more dense in comparison to many others. It’s made out of unsweetened coconut, nuts, and extra virgin coconut oil. The last time I had the Larabar Coconut Cream Pie, I thought it was average. Again, I still think it’s average. It tastes exactly like what’s in it. That is, coconut shreds and coconut oil. Surprisingly, there isn’t a lot of whole nuts in this bar. It’s mainly coconut shreds. The coconut oil gives it that soft and creamy texture. Well, not too smooth, but more like that oily texture that makes it smoother. As I said in my last review, it could be creamier. I think the Coconut Cream Pie would be good for coconut lovers though. Keep in mind, it’s healthier than the actual pie. For me, it’s not bad. It’s just not the best of the best. I prefer other Larabars out there.

I’m on a roll with Larabars! Here’ my fourth Larabar to try out! It’s the Coconut Chocolate Chip. The last one was a dud. I hope this one turns out at least decent. Here’s my review on Larabar Coconut Chocolate Chip! So, the texture of the Coconut Chocolate Chip bar tastes like shredded coconuts all-over. I was expecting a smoother texture, but this wasn’t too bad. The texture reminds me of a coconut pie with a bunch of coconut shreds on top. That sounds sooo yum! As for the flavor, it tastes like coconut and chocolate chips (what it is). The coconut and chocolate chips make a perfect duo. It makes a nice desert without feeling too guilty about it. Keep in mind that it does contain 4 grams of added sugar, which comes from the semi-sweet chocolate chips. My added sugars consumption is pretty low, and I hardly ever eat chocolate chips anyways. I didn’t mind these. You would think that this bar would be overly sweet. It’s not. The dates blend in very well with the other ingredients in this bar. The combination of ingredients is very delightful to eat. I can barely taste the cashews and almonds in this bar, but that didn’t bother me at all. Overall, I really liked the Coconut Chocolate Chip. It’s good! If you’re into coconuts and chocolate chips, I highly recommend this one. There are no surprises when it comes to the Larabar Coconut Chocolate Chip. 😊
