Derma E Anti-Wrinkle Renewal Cream
Derma E Anti-Wrinkle Renewal Cream

I thought I’d give Derma E Anti-Wrinkle Renewal Cream another chance. My skin has been dry due to being on an acne treatment. I wanted to see if this face cream will work for me again. 🙂 More about this face cream:

Review:

This is an anti-wrinkle face cream that comes in jar packaging. The product is creamy white. It’s thick, not whipped or light in texture. I used this face cream for 2 days. The first night I used it, it left my skin hydrated, soft, and it just felt nice applying a moisturizer to cracked, dry, dehydrated skin. The next day, I continued to use it in the morning and at night. Everything seemed OK. Unfortunately, the next morning when I used it again, I noticed whiteheads on my face by night. ? I’m disappointed that this face cream didn’t work for me again, but I’m glad I caught it in time before the whiteheads infested my whole face. So, I’m not going to continue to use this face cream. Very, very disappointed. Because I actually liked the texture of the cream. For once, my skin felt moisturized. It’s so difficult to find a hydrating moisturizer for oily, acne-prone skin. Well, acne-prone skin that’s dehydrated right now. If you have acne or pores that clog easily, I don’t recommend this. The product sounds promising, but don’t fall for it.

Derma E DMAE Firming Moisturizer
Derma E DMAE Firming Moisturizer

This is the second face cream I’ve purchased from Derma E. It’s called Derma E DMAE Firming Moisturizer Alpha Lipoic Acid & C-Ester. What is the purpose of this cream?

Anyways, enough with the details of the product. The cream came in a jar. In purple packaging. It says ‘Firm + Lift’ right on the box.

When I first opened the jar, I noticed that the texture of the cream looked soft and creamy (it is a cream). It felt soft to touch and nice. I liked the texture of it. What threw me off was the smell of the product. It smelled of lavender. It was too much for me and overwhelming.

What the cream looks like

I didn’t attempt to use it on my facial skin. It reminded me of another face cream from Derma E called Radiance Brightening Night Cream. That face cream clogged my pores terribly. I didn’t want to take another chance and cause my skin to break out again. The breakouts from the Radiance Brightening Night Cream was HORRIBLE.

So I’m only using the Firming DMAE Moisturizer as a neck cream or hand cream. The cream makes my skin feel very soft. I would purchase it again for that use, but the smell is too heavy in lavender for me. I would not recommend this to anyone that’s sensitive to fragrance. I will repeat this again. It is heavily scented in lavender. I can’t imagine applying this in the morning surrounded by people. I prefer skin care products that are fragrance-free or subtle in fragrance. It has to smell good too.

Have you used Derma E DMAE Firming Moisturizer Alpha Lipoic Acid & C-Ester? What do you think about it? Yay? Nay?

Derma E Hydrating Eye Cream
Derma E Hydrating Eye Cream

I’ve used this eye cream for over a month. The eye cream claims to…

It’s awesome that it’s vegan and cruelty-free, but this is what I really think about it.

This is just another ‘moisturizing’ eye cream. That’s all it is. It doesn’t reduce wrinkles. It doesn’t reduce the appearance of crow’s feet. It doesn’t reduce laugh lines. It doesn’t plump the skin for a younger-looking appearance. As I said before, just another ‘moisturizing’ eye cream. I was really disappointed with the results. I have a Hyaluronic Acid serum that works just the same as this eye cream, and it’s around the same price (just a few dollars more). We’re talking about 0.5 oz (Derma E Hydrating Eye Cream Hyaluronic Acid & Green Tea) vs 2 oz (Cosmedica Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum)! Not only that, I apply the Cosmedica Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum all over my face including my under eyes. If you’re looking for an eye cream that just moisturizes, this is it. But I don’t think it’s worth it. Choose another eye cream or a good all-over moisturizer that hydrates and changes the appearance of your skin. Save your time and money. This eye cream isn’t entirely bad, but I would suggest skipping it for the reasons stated above.

Here’s two more skin care products that I’ve been eyeing and decided to bite the bullet and buy. They are…

Review on Derma E Radiance Brightening Night Cream:

elf Radiance Night Cream
Derma E Radiance Brightening Night Cream

I was very excited to use this face cream. The name of the product has the words ‘radiance’ and ‘brightening’ in it. It’s always good to correct an uneven skin tone and lighten acne scars. I was hoping for the best when I first started using this cream.

Derma E Radiance Brightening Night Cream is a thick gel-cream. Leaning towards a cream. It takes much more effort to blend the cream into the skin. It doesn’t sink in right away. The texture can be off-putting. If you’re into smooth, elegant creams, this isn’t for you. You have to really rub it in. Once it’s rubbed into the skin, it doesn’t leave the skin ultra-hydrated. Don’t expect to be drenched in moisture.

After using it for only a few nights, I’ve noticed that my skin brightened up and is left feeling somewhat hydrated. A couple more days after that, I started to develop red, deep angry cystic acne. I stopped using the cream quickly. The cream did work to brighten the skin and lighten my dark under eye circles. But, that’s not enough for me to continue using it on my face. No one wants acne bumps + a brighter complexion, right? I will not buy this product again. Not for acne-prone skin people like me. *warning all people with acne skin!!*

The Brightening Cream and Anti-Aging Regenerative Serum

Derma E Anti-Aging Regenerative Serum

Ingredients:

Purified Water, Glycerin (Vegetable Derived), Organic Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract*, Coco-Caprylate (Coconut Derived), Xanthan Gum, Diheptyl Succinate, Capryloyl Glycerin/Sebacic Acid Copolymer, Glycolic Acid, Panthenol (Provitamin B5), Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A), Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Glyceryl Stearate (Vegetable Derived), Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate (Vegetable Derived), Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Natural Fragrance Oils

Review on Derma E Anti-Aging Regenerative Serum:

I wasn’t impressed by Derma E Anti-Aging Regenerative Serum. The texture reminded me of Derma E Vitamin C Concentrated Serum. The results were similar. Both clogged my pores. Derma E serums are defintely a miss. Would not buy again or try any other serum from this brand ever again.

Review: Simplified Skin & Derma E Vitamin C Serum

Comment

I’m doing two reviews in one today. It’s going to be on Vitamin C serums.

Simplified Skin Vitamin C Serum

Simplified Skin Vitamin C Serum
Simplified Skin Vitamin C Serum

I’m officially done with the first bottle of Simplified Skin Vitamin C Serum! I was going to give this serum a negative review, but it has not caused my skin to break out at all! The serum balances my skin out. It’s very similar to a toner but slightly better. It decreases the oils in my skin and hydrates it at the same time. But does it brighten the skin? The answer is no. This serum did not work to brighten the skin or fade acne scars. I’m on the second bottle of this serum, so we will see. I’m not feeling optimistic about it though. I think bottle #2 could be the last one I will purchase from this brand.

Some key points that I still stand by from my last review.

Derma E Vitamin C Concentrated Serum

Derma E Vitamin C Serum
Derma E Vitamin C Concentrated Serum

I’ve used Derma E Vitamin C Concentrated Serum for only 1 week. The serum smells really good. It’s sweet like some sort of candy or treat. It’s soft in texture like a serum is supposed to be. It glides on the skin nicely and moisturizes it. But, it made me break out in pimples after 1 week. I’m not talking about tiny little pimples. I’m talking about angry cystic acne! Puss-filled ones. They popped up out of nowhere — my upper lip, side of my face, chin, jawline, nose. Ugh! I had to stop using it ASAP!! Even though the serum did brighten my skin up, the breakouts weren’t worth it. If you have flawless skin or skin that doesn’t breakout easily, this will work for you. If you have acne, don’t use it. It’ll be your skin’s worst nightmare! Onto the next!
