My Skin Care Routine (Vegan, Cruelty-Free)

Trader Joe’s Spa Face Wash with Tea Tree Oil

Here’s an update on my skin care routine. I had to make one. I’m re-evaluating the skin care products I’m using. Making sure that they are vegan and cruelty-free. It’ll take me time, but I’ll get there. 😊😊

Face Wash: Trader Joe’s Spa Face Wash with Tea Tree Oil (am + pm)

Fortunately, my favorite face wash is vegan and cruelty-free. It’s really good for oily, acne-prone skin without making the skin feel dry. I highly recommend it if you have similar skin to mine. I know people that use this face wash with dry, normal, combination skin too. It works for them.

Toner: Pixi skintreats Retinol Tonic (pm) & Glow Tonic (am)

Pixi is a cruelty-free brand, but not all of their products are vegan. I believe the Retinol Tonic and Glow Tonic are vegan. I’ve found conflicting information about the Glow Tonic. I will continue to use it unless it’s not vegan.

Eye Care: Eva Naturals Youth Restoring Eye Gel (am + pm)

This is my second bottle of the eye gel. It helps with dark under eye circles, but it’s not moisturizing at all. I’m on the fence about this eye gel. I want something more moisturizing, but we’ll see how it goes. This eye gel is not tested on animals.

Serums:

All of them are vegan and not tested on animals. 🙌🏻

There’s a possible chance of me dropping Cos De BAHA Vitamin C Serum from my skin care routine. I don’t see the point on having two bottles of Vitamin C in my routine. I haven’t noticed a difference between the two.

Acne Care: Acne.org BP Treatment Gel (pm)

This is a staple in my skin care routine for treating acne. It works! If you have acne, give it a try. You won’t regret it! I know it worked for me! Do you know what else??? It is vegan and not tested on animals.

Face Masks:

Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay mask isn’t tested on animals. It’s vegan. The only sheet mask I’m using right now is the Herbal Infusion Rosehip Seed Extract Sheet Mask. It’s not tested on animals either. I still have a pack of Dermal sheet masks left. I haven’t been using them. The sheet masks have not been tested on animals, but not all of the sheet masks are vegan. I won’t purchase again after I finish them.

Face Scrub: Acure Brightening Facial Scrub

This face scrub is gritty enough to remove dead skin cells off of my facial skin. It seems to last forever too. A little goes a long way when it comes to this facial scrub. I only need a small amount for it to work. It’s also a vegan skin care brand. Cruelty-free too.

That’s my current skin care routine. 😁

To someone that’s not interested in skin care, this looks like a lot of work. Looking at my skin care routine, it looks pretty minimal. haha. I’ll be sure to purchase only vegan, cruelty-free skin care products from now on. 🐰🐰🐰♥♥♥

I did a skin care routine update about 3 weeks ago. HERE IT IS. Here’s an update on my skin care routine.

Bliss Mighty MarshMallow Mask
Bliss Mighty MarshMallow Mask

Morning:

Face Wash: Trader Joe’s Spa Face Wash with Tea Tree Oil

Toner: Pixi skintreats Glow Tonic

Eye Cream: Eva Naturals Youth Restoring Eye Gel

Serums:

I did add two more serums into my serum routine. 😀

Plus this one too. 🙂

My morning skin care routine is pretty simple. It may look like it’s a lot, but it’s not. It goes by quick, since the serums soak into my skin fast. They give my skin a touch of moisture without leaving my skin appearing oily throughout the day. Great for oily, acne-prone skin people like me!!

Night (most days):

Face Wash: Trader Joe’s Spa Face Wash with Tea Tree Oil

Eye Cream: Eva Naturals Youth Restoring Eye Gel

Acne Treatment: Acne.org BP Treatment Gel

Most days of the week at night, I choose to use BP more often. I noticed that my skin doesn’t dry out as much anymore. BP does an amazing job at fighting acne. My skin looks beautiful because of BP!

Once a week at night:

I leave 2 days of the week to do these two things.

1. Dermaroll. I decided to dermaroll only once a week. Doing it twice a week wasn’t necessary. When I dermaroll, I use retinol and serums that do not irrtate the skin right after + a sheet mask (Herbal Infusion Rosehip Seed Extract Sheet Mask). It’s all about nourishing the skin with vital nutrients. This is what I use:

2. AHA+ Lotion. I only use the AHA+ Lotion once a week. Seems like it’s too greasy for my skin. Once a week is enough for that nice glow that it gives the skin. I prefer to use it at night. I don’t use it with BP. I use it alone with my serums. I don’t use it on the day I dermaroll.

Face Masks:

Here’s a list of face masks I have. Most of them, I’m trying to use them up. Out of all of them, I’m going to keep Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay in my skin care routine. I use one of them after I facial steam (1-2x week) excluding the AHA BHA Solution. I use that on a separate day.

Let’s talk about sunblock:

Unfortunately, I haven’t found a SPF lotion that doesn’t break me out. I’ve been avoiding the sun when I’m outdoors. My makeup does contain SPF. But, I haven’t been wearing makeup often. I’ve gone weeks without makeup. Has it been at least a month or two now without makeup? WOW. I don’t remember. All I know is that not wearing makeup has improved my skin by a ton. I wear hats and avoid the sun when I’m outside (without makeup). I know it sounds weird, but that’s what I have to do when I don’t have any foundation on my skin. I prefer a bare face over foundation nowadays. It feels uplifting and nice. I don’t have anything to remove when I get home. All I do is wash my face with my facial cleanser. Easy peasy. 🙂 As always, I’ll be on the search for a good sunblock that is suitable for my skin type. 🙂

That’s my skin care routine. Hope it helped! 😀
