Larabar Lemon Bar

The next Larabar I have is the Lemon Bar. This one is new to me. I was very hesitant on purchasing the Lemon Bar because I was afraid that it might turn out to be another Key Lime Pie. I thought I would give it a chance anyways. You’ll never know if you don’t try. Here’s more information about the Lemon Bar before I begin my review on it. 😊

The Lemon Bar flavor comes in an adorable yellow box just like its wrapper. So cute and pretty! When I removed the Lemon Bar out of its wrapper, I noticed that the bar was rather thin compared to the previous Larabars I have tried. The Lemon Bar had a nice, soft texture to it, which made it very easy to bite into and chew. There were a few whole nuts here and there. In one of the photos, you can see an almond peeking out of the bar. 😁 As for the taste, the Lemon Bar tastes like lemons (what it’s supposed to taste like). The ingredient list does state that it contains Lemon Juice Concentrate, Dried Lemon Juice Concentrate, and Lemon Oil. It tastes exactly like that. Even though it is sweeter than what I usually like, it wasn’t bad. I like lemons, so the Lemon Bar gets a pass from me. Also, there are cashews in this bar. It’s the second ingredient on the list. But, the lemon flavor overpowers it. Yay! If you haven’t noticed yet, I’m not too big on cashews. Overall, I liked the Lemon Bar. It’s not as good as the Cinnamon Roll and Coconut Chocolate Chip, but I wouldn’t mind purchasing it again if I want something sweet and satisfying without feeling guilty. It makes a nice lemon-flavored snack that’s natural. And yes, it turned out way better than the Key Lime Pie!

Review: Flavor God Seasonings

Flavor God Seasonings

Flavor God Seasonings

It’s about time for a review on Flavor God Seasonings! This was actually given to me as a Christmas gift over a year ago. Flavor God seasonings are pretty popular among fitness fanatics and health conscious people. Also, major foodies. Like myself.

About Flavor God Seasonings:

  • Kosher
  • Gluten-Free
  • Soy-Free
  • Non-GMO
  • All-Natural
  • Paleo
  • MSG-Free

Here are the seasonings included in the package:

  • Italian Zest
  • Garlic Lover’s
  • Lemon & Garlic
  • Everything Spicy
  • Ketchup
  • Everything

My Thoughts:

My first impression when I started incorporating these seasonings into my meals is that they were very bland. I thought Flavor God would be more flavorful due to the 5 star rave reviews. Each seasoning does have a low sodium content, but I do add some salt to my meals. Still, the flavor didn’t seem to pop for me. I’ve tried other less expensive seasonings that had more flavor. It could just be the ratio of the ingredients in each product. I tried all of the ones shown above (pictures). I tried the Lemon & Garlic first. Next, I tried Ketchup, EverythingItalian Zest. Lastly, I tried Everything Spicy and Garlic Lover’s. By the way, the Zesty Italian smells like pizza in a bottle. Pretty cool. I just wish the taste was more bold!

Low-Sodium, The Good Stuff:

As I mentioned earlier, Flavor God seasonings are low in sodium, which is a big plus! Especially for people that need to watch their sodium intake. But, there are other seasonings WITHOUT sodium that are less expensive. I have nothing against sodium at all. I workout and sweat, so I need to replenish what I’ve lost. Me being me, I always, always add my own salt to everything when I prepare my meals. I like Pink Himalayan Salt. Other aspects I liked about Flavor God Seasonings is that they are Kosher, Gluten-Free, Soy-Free, MSG-Free, Non-GMO, and All-Natural. It is suitable for a variety of people based on what their needs are. For the health conscious, this is great!

Would I Buy Again?

The chances are very low. I still have lots of leftovers right now, and I haven’t used them since. They’re not bad, but they are not the best of the best. It was nice to try them though. But, I can easily purchase organic seasonings for much less at my local grocery store. Again, they are not cheap. I just noticed that they have a Vegan Lover’s Combo. Cool! *nods* The price will probably knock you down. The sale price is $30.97 for 4 bottles. Retail price is $89.97. They also have Flavor God Sriracha Seasoning. The sale price is $9.99 for 1 bottle. The retail price is $29.99. If you want to try them, go ahead. It’s really up to you. haha!

Have you tried Flavor God Seasonings? Any favorites? Tell me your experience!
