February Skin Care Empties
Here’s my list of February empties! The list is pretty short this month. I slowed down on using my skin care products. I’ll try my best to pick it back up next month!
Cosrx Ultimate Nourishing Rice Overnight Spa Mask:
I finished my last bottle of Cosrx Ultimate Nourishing Rice Overnight Spa Mask. I tried using this moisturizer on my face so many times, but it never worked completely. I noticed that it would brighten my skin up at times (contains niacinamide and rice extract). The brightening effect did not last. My skin would revert back to what it was before. It never helped with acne marks either. My skin ended up breaking out due to the oils (sunflower seed oil, palm oil, palm kernel oil) in the product. It didn’t work for me in the end. I used several bottles too. I used the rest of what I have left on my body and hands. I’m glad I’m done with it.
Neutrogena Visibly Even Daily Moisturizer SPF 30:
I finished one of the two bottles of Neutrogena Visibly Even Daily Moisturizer SPF 30 this month. Yay! This used to be my HG sunscreen (or moisturizer with SPF). It was the only moisturizer/sunscreen product that didn’t break me out. It’s not the best. I noticed some burning and freckles while using it. Whatever. I couldn’t use anything else due to breakouts. This was my only choice. My experience with it this time was not like it used to be. It used to be decent. Now, I’m just not impressed anymore. I find it to be too moisturizing (makes my skin oily) and burns my eyes. I tried applying the product a little bit away from my eyes, but it seems to get in my eyes regardless. Since this sunscreen isn’t reliable or that effective, I don’t care much for it anymore. I experimented with it indoors (not outdoors). It is what is it. I have one bottle left and won’t repurchase again. I can’t anyways, haha. It’s been discontinued. I wonder why…lol.
RoC Multi Correxion Hydrate + Plump Eye Cream:
No more RoC Multi Correxion Hydrate + Plump Eye Cream! I’m done with it. I’m happy to be done with it. I used the rest of the product on my body, especially my feet. This eye cream was OK at first until my eyes started burning from it (new formula?). It irritated the crap out of my eyes and gave me an allergic reaction. My eyes were so swollen and puffy.
Purito Centella Green Level Buffet Serum:
I was able to finish a bottle of Purito Centella Green Level Buffet Serum this month. I didn’t even realize I was running low until I finished it. So with this serum, I haven’t been using it on my face. It’s not a good facial serum for me. I remember getting blackheads and other breakouts from it, which is surprising because it absorbs quickly and feels very lightweight on the skin. I guess my skin just doesn’t like facial serums or maybe it’s just this one. I’ve been using this serum after my showers on my body. Honestly, I can’t tell if it’s making a difference, but I love how weightless and how fast it absorbs into the skin. Well, I have to use it for something. 🤷🏻♀️ I’m about to open a new bottle, haha.

More December Skin Care Empties! 🥳
I didn’t expect to finish more skin care items after posting my December Skin Care Empties. Here’s more!
RoC Multi Correxion Hydrate + Plump Eye Cream:
I have 2 tubes of the RoC Multi Correxion Hydrate + Plump Eye Cream left. I finished one this month. I stopped using it on my eyes a while ago due to skin irritation and burning. It made my eyes look super swollen. Since I’m trying to use it up, I’ve been using it on my body. I haven’t had any issues with using it on my body. It’s such a waste using this product like this. This is supposed to be an eye cream. Who wants to use a 0.5 fl. oz. (15 mL) product on their body? Definitely not a product I would purchase again. Don’t waste your money.
Trader Joe’s Daily Facial Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40:
I really liked the texture and consistency of this sunscreen. It’s soft, soothing, and moisturizing on the skin. It’s full of silicones, lol. Yeah, the silicone texture was way too much for my skin. But, the sunscreen was super easy to apply and blend into the skin. It smooths over the skin and vanishes nicely. It’s clear and doesn’t leave any cast behind. It works great as a makeup primer too. It makes the skin appear softer and blurs a few imperfections here and there. Also, it’s broad spectrum and SPF 40. I finished my last bottle of the Trader Joe’s Daily Facial Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40. Will I purchase it again? With this sunscreen, sometimes it breaks me out, sometimes it doesn’t. I’m not sure if I’ll buy it again. Maybe if I’m at Trader Joe’s and shopping for groceries. It’s not a bad sunscreen product, to be honest.
Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream:
I finished a jar of Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream this month. I stopped using this face cream on my face so long ago that I don’t remember when. So this is a heavier cream made for the facial skin. I used this face cream for quite some time. I eventually stopped using it due to it clogging my pores. It’s just too heavy for my facial skin and didn’t do much for my skin. My skin never felt truly moisturized. It felt heavy and cakey on the skin. I didn’t see improvements in my skin while using it. I just stuck to it for so long because I needed a moisturizer and couldn’t find one that’ suitable for my skin type. Many times, I thought it worked on my skin. It just didn’t after plenty attempts. I have 2 jars of this face cream left and am trying to finish it up. I know for sure that I won’t repurchase again. Out it goes!
Finally, another tube of Melano CC Vitamin C Essence down! I think I have 4 more left! 😭 I’ve tried using this essence on my face so many times that I gave up. It just doesn’t work for my skin type. It doesn’t brighten my skin like I thought it did. I used it then stopped using it. There was no difference in my skin before and after. I haven’t noticed a reduction in acne marks or evening of the skin tone when using it. I never liked the oily, grimy texture that it leaves behind either. It leaves a matte finish, but there’s some odd residue texture thing going on after application. I need to find a new vitamin c product. This one isn’t working for me.

Review: RoC Multi Correxion Hydrate + Plump Eye Cream
I’ve been using RoC Multi Correxion Hydrate + Plump Eye Cream for some time now. I’ve gone through two tubes. I’m now on my third. I think that’s more than enough time for me to share my experience with this product. Here are my thoughts on this eye cream. 🙂
What’s the purpose of the RoC Multi Correxion Hydrate + Plump Eye Cream? It contains peptides to lift, firm, and contour. 1.5% hyaluronic acid to smooth and fill in lines. Caffeine to de-puff and rejuvenate. In 1 week, 100% had visibly reduced crow’s feet and visibly hydrated skin. In 4 weeks, 85% saw a visible reduction in under-eye puffiness. In 8 weeks, 88% saw visibly firmer-looking skin around the eye and 85% saw a visible reduction in dark circles. It is dermatologist and ophthalmologist tested, fragrance-free, paraben-free, and non-comedogenic.
My Experience with RoC Multi Correxion Hydrate + Plump Eye Cream:
Texture and Application
The eye cream is a soft, smoothing gel. I love the texture and consistency of this eye cream. It’s so silky and smooth. When applied to the under eyes, it feels very gentle, elegant, and soothing. It glides over the under eyes and skin around the eyes effortlessly. It doesn’t tug at the eye area. Very easy, simple application process. I just love how soft and smooth it is on the skin. It absorbs pretty fast into the skin and leaves the skin feeling hydrated. Worked well underneath moisturizer and sunscreen too. I didn’t experience any pilling due to how fast it sinks into the skin.
A moisturizing eye cream.
If you’re searching for a moisturizing eye cream, this works to hydrate the skin. I didn’t experience any dryness. My under eyes were left moisturized. Once again, fast-absorbing, moisturized skin.
Results?
In 1 week, I couldn’t tell if it helped to reduce crow’s feet, but it did help hydrate my skin. I noticed instant hydration. It didn’t take 1 week. A regular moisturizer would hydrate and moisturize the skin as good as this tiny 0.5 fl. oz. (15 mL) eye cream product. I didn’t think it was that much of a difference between this eye cream and a moisturizer. In 4 weeks, I didn’t notice any de-puffing of under eye puffiness. In 8 weeks, I didn’t see firmer looking skin or a reduction in dark under eye circles. The only thing I noticed was hydration. If you’re looking into trying this product, I’m not going to stop you. Everyone’s experience is different. From my experience, it was simply just a hydrating eye cream that contains peptides, caffeine, and hyaluronic acid. I didn’t see any improvements in my under eyes or skin around my eyes after going through two tubes of this eye cream. Just hydration.
Burning sensation?
I’ve finished two tubes of this eye cream already. I’m on my third. The first two went quite well. I didn’t experience any burning sensation or irritation. But once I started using the third one, my under eyes were extremely irritated. It looked like an allergic reaction. It was red, sore-looking, and burned like hell. Maybe I received a bad batch? Maybe the formula changed?? I have a fourth tube of the eye cream. Unfortunately, it smells just like the third tube. It has a very strong chemical smell to it. It doesn’t smell right. The products I have are new too. I recently purchased them. I have a fourth one because I bought the third and fourth together, lol. The first two I finished up didn’t have this strong chemical smell. Who knows what might’ve happened. Either way, I stopped using the eye cream on my eyes. After I stopped using it, all symptoms vanished. I’m quite disheartened with my experience with this eye cream after this happened. It made my eyes look worse and emphasized wrinkles.
Final Thoughts
I was going to keep using this eye cream, since it feels nice on the skin and contains ingredients like peptides, caffeine, and hyaluronic acid. My first couple of tubes of this eye cream went well. It didn’t help with crow’s feet, fine lines, wrinkles, dark under eye circles, puffiness, but it did help to hydrate my skin. I’ve used plenty of eye creams and have never found one that did anything amazing other than moisturize the skin. And, I really liked the texture of this eye cream. It’s silky and smooth. I love how little effort I have to put into applying it. It just glides and absorbs quick. It works great underneath my other skin care products too. BUT, since I had a bad experience with it (burning, third tube), I stopped using this eye cream. Like, wtf happened??!! I haven’t used it for a week and am happy with my decision. My under eyes went back to normal. It’s not red, puffy, swollen, and super wrinkly anymore. The under eye area is very delicate. I can’t trust using this product on my eyes after this experience. I won’t repurchase. What a huge disappointment.
This is what the eye cream looks like. Brand new. It’s a clear gel. When I twisted the cap open, the product seeps out.
