I’ve tried Garden of Life High Protein Weight Loss Bar before. At one point, I was addicted to them, haha. This time, I have Chocolate Covered Cherry. It’s a new flavor to me. This is what I think about it.

My Review:

These are the blandest protein bars out there. They don’t taste like what it’s called Chocolate Covered Cherry. Just a hint of that flavor. It’s barely there. They are soft in texture. Somewhat similar to a brownie, which I like. Even though they are bland, I really do like these. They make a satisfying treat that’s low in sugar. There’s only 1 gram of sugar (0 grams of added sugar) per bar. That’s why these protein bars are tasteless. Each bar contains 200 calories with 14 grams of protein and 13 grams of fiber.

Do I recommend these? Once again, they are satisfying. I do enjoy having them early in the morning with my breakfast or alone. Since they contain Green Coffee Bean Extract, it wakes me up quickly. But, I realize that I am very sensitive to caffeine. I get really hyper when I consume caffeine, lol. That’s why I don’t drink coffee with caffeine as much anymore. I choose decaf whenever possible. These protein bars (to me) are very addicting due to the caffeine in it, so I only purchase them once after a couple of months for a nice low sugar, high protein snack. Yes, I would recommend them if you can handle a snack that’s bland.

Remember Raw Rev Glo Protein Bars? One of my favorite flavors is Mixed Nuts, Caramel, & Sea Salt. This is what I think about them now.

My Review:

I still feel the same way as I did before in my last review. It’s healthy and tasty at the same time. It’s filling too. This protein bar makes it feel like I’m eating a candy bar. I would definitely purchase these again soon. 🙂

Raw Rev Glo Protein Bars
Raw Rev Glo Protein Bars

Have you tried Raw Rev Glo Protein Bars? Are you thinking about buying Raw Rev Glo Protein Bars? Before you do, read this first. I’ve tried all of the flavors (purchased with my own money), and I’m going to review them. These protein bars are Vegan, Kosher, Non-GMO, and Gluten-Free.

1. Creamy Peanut Butter & Sea Salt (Photos 1 and 2)

I love peanut butter. It’s one of my favorite flavors in this whole wide world! I could sit there and eat spoonfuls of peanut butter if it weren’t for the dense calories that peanut butter possesses. This protein bar is the creamy peanut butter flavor. I must admit, I’m team crunchy, so I was really surprised that I liked this one a lot more compared to the crunchy (Photo 5) peanut butter protein bar. As for the flavor, it tastes just like peanut butter from a jar. Well, close enough. The only downer when it comes to these protein bars is that oil leaks from the wrapper. I’ve received boxes where it’s saturated in oil. The taste and texture is fine, but please work on the oil-leakage issue. It gets really messy and annoying. I never stash this protein bar in my purse when I’m on-the-go or traveling because of the oil issue. I won’t purchase it again because of this. What a bummer.

2. Crunchy Peanut Butter & Sea Salt (Photo 5)

Compared to the Creamy Peanut Butter & Sea Salt flavor (above), the crunchy peanut butter ultimately fails in taste and texture. As the name states, it contains chunky peanuts in them. It does. The problem is the awful taste and texture of these protein bars. It’s weird. Something is missing. It doesn’t satisfy my peanut butter cravings. At least it doesn’t have an oil-leakage problem. As I mentioned earlier, I’m a crunchy peanut butter fan. I’m very, very disappointed.

3. Mixed Nuts, Caramel, & Sea Salt (Photo 1)

This one is simply delicious. It tastes like caramel. It’s not too salty. It has a nice crunch to it too. It is what it is guys! I think this one is perfect! One of my favorites! 🙂

4. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough (Photos 1 and 3)

I ventured out to the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough protein bar for one simple reason. I’m madly in love with chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. Mmm! Instead of eating chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream, why not choose a healthier option? Like this protein bar that’s chocolate chip cookie dough flavored. 🙂 This protein bar quickly became a favorite of mine! It tastes pretty good, and I always end up buying this one again. It sure does stop my cookie dough cravings from getting out of control! I highly recommend this one if you have an obsession with chocolate chip cookie dough (like me)!

5. Peanut Butter, Dark Chocolate, & Sea Salt (Photo 1)

I can easily say right off the bat that the Peanut Butter, Dark Chocolate, & Sea Salt is truly terrible. No words can describe how awful the flavor and texture of this protein bar is. It looks like a piece of you know what. I bought one box to try it out. Never again. The worst protein bar out of all of the flavors! You have been warned! Stay far away!

6. Dark Chocolate, Cashew, & Mint (Photo 5)

With the Dark Chocolate, Cashew, & Mint, I was hoping for something along the lines of mint ice cream. You know, minty mint. I just wanted to relive my childhood once again when my parents would buy mint chocolate chip ice cream in a gigantic bucket! 😀  But, the texture ruined it for me. It was chewy and left a weird grainy aftertaste in my mouth. That made it very hard to enjoy the protein bar. There’s seriously something funky going on with this protein bar. I will never buy it ever again.

7. Dark Chocolate Espresso Crunch (Photo 6)

Any coffee lovers? Coffee flavored foods and drinks are the best! The aroma of a nice cup of coffee in the morning. Mmm, mmm! I was very excited for the Dark Chocolate Espresso Crunch protein bar. I mean, dark chocolate expresso, what can go wrong? Well, the last word. It says crunch. The texture was a weird kind of crunchy. It felt like I was gnawing on coffee beans. My jaw started to hurt badly. Very unpleasant. I wasn’t expecting this. The taste was also terrible. It was very bitter. I’ll pass the coffee this time.

8. Double Chocolate Brownie Batter (Photo 4)

The last protein bar of the bunch that I purchased! All of these names are luring. Now it’s Double Chocolate Brownie Batter! All of the rave reviews. You know, I didn’t like it. It didn’t taste like chocolate. It didn’t taste like brownie batter. Lastly, what the heck did I just eat? This is one tasteless protein bar. Just no, no. I don’t recommend this flavor to anyone. It sounds tempting, but just don’t. Stop pretending to be a brownie batter filled with double chocolates.

Final Thoughts:

I only liked the Mixed Nuts, Caramel, & Sea Salt and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. 🙂

One day, I opened up a protein bar to eat. I found this. Such an odd sight. Here’s a picture of one of the protein bars missing a chunk of product. I didn’t squish it. When I opened the wrapper, that’s what it looked like! I thought it was just a fluke until I found other protein bars with the same problem. Something is up with this brand/product. They have oil leakage issues and now this! Do yourself a favor and keep this in mind when purchasing. So inconsistent. These protein bars aren’t cheap either. They run about over $20 bucks a box!

What??!! There’s a missing piece…
