Review: Derma E DMAE Firming Moisturizer

This is the second face cream I’ve purchased from Derma E. It’s called Derma E DMAE Firming Moisturizer Alpha Lipoic Acid & C-Ester. What is the purpose of this cream?

- Improve the appearance of skin’s firmness and elasticity
- Helps skin appear visibly smoother and lifted
- Antioxidant-rich Alpha Lipoic Acid and Vitamin C-Ester nourish for a more revitalized look
- Clinically Tested
- Dermatologist Tested
- 100% Vegan
- No Parabens
- No Pthalates
- No Formaldehyde
- No Petrolatum
- No Sulfates
- No Mineral Oils
- No Artificial Colors
- No Artificial Fragrances
Anyways, enough with the details of the product. The cream came in a jar. In purple packaging. It says ‘Firm + Lift’ right on the box.
When I first opened the jar, I noticed that the texture of the cream looked soft and creamy (it is a cream). It felt soft to touch and nice. I liked the texture of it. What threw me off was the smell of the product. It smelled of lavender. It was too much for me and overwhelming.
I didn’t attempt to use it on my facial skin. It reminded me of another face cream from Derma E called Radiance Brightening Night Cream. That face cream clogged my pores terribly. I didn’t want to take another chance and cause my skin to break out again. The breakouts from the Radiance Brightening Night Cream was HORRIBLE.
So I’m only using the Firming DMAE Moisturizer as a neck cream or hand cream. The cream makes my skin feel very soft. I would purchase it again for that use, but the smell is too heavy in lavender for me. I would not recommend this to anyone that’s sensitive to fragrance. I will repeat this again. It is heavily scented in lavender. I can’t imagine applying this in the morning surrounded by people. I prefer skin care products that are fragrance-free or subtle in fragrance. It has to smell good too.
Have you used Derma E DMAE Firming Moisturizer Alpha Lipoic Acid & C-Ester? What do you think about it? Yay? Nay?

Review: Yes to Carrots Nutrition Boosting Kale Facial Wipes
Oct. 25, 2018Leave a comment
Today, I’m going to review Yes to Carrots Nutrition Boosting Kale Facial Wipes! Even though I used the Yes to Tomatoes Clear Skin Detoxifying Charcoal Facial Wipes first, I ended up using the Carrot & Kale facial wipes more often! When I opened the Carrot & Kale facial wipes, I noticed a perfume scent to them. The list of ingredients states that it contains fragrance (parfum). If you’re allergic to fragrance, I wouldn’t recommend these. I can tolerate the fragrance, but I’m not too fond of it. The wipes could go without the fragrance, in my opinion. Unlike other facial wipes I’ve used before, they are not drenched in liquid. They contain enough moisture to remove makeup easily though. The fabric of the cloth is very gentle on the skin. Also, the formula is too. I’ve used plenty of other facial wipes where my skin turned bright red and looked irritated. These didn’t harm my skin. The formula kept my skin feeling hydrated while it was on my skin (before I rinsed it off with a facial cleanser).
Yes to Carrots Nutrition Boosting Kale Facial Wipes was made for depleted skin while being enriched with vitamins (including kale). I love how the ingredients are mostly natural (95% natural ingredients), but I haven’t noticed any positive changes in my skin. My skin didn’t look healthier or brighter. It looked the same before using them. Overall, the facial wipes weren’t too bad. They’re gentle and non-irritating. They didn’t clog my pores or give me acne. They’re a 100% vegan skin care product and leaping bunny certified! 🙉 Yay for vegan skin care products! Oh, I thought these facial wipes were going to be fully orange, lol. They’re just slightly (just a little bit) tinted orange. I’ll go into more detail when I review Yes to Tomatoes Clear Skin Detoxifying Charcoal Facial Wipes on why I thought so. Would I purchase Yes to Carrots Nutrition Boosting Kale Facial Wipes again? Honestly, I really don’t know. Maybe when I feel like it. As I said earlier, they’re not bad. I’m just not that crazy about them.
