Waimea Bay North Shore Hawaii
Aug. 21, 2018
Leave a commentAloha Waimea Bay! Waimea Bay is a beautiful beach on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii. A famous surfing beach due to the large shore breaks during the winter season. In the summertime, the waters are more calm. A perfect time for swimming and snorkeling.Β Waimea Bay is also well-known for the gigantic rock (pictured above with me) called Jump Rock. It is approximately 25 ft high. You can climb up to the top of the rock and jump off if you choose to do so. If you’ve been here, have you jumped off the rock? Share your experience with me. π
Location:
North Shore, Oahu
Parking:
Free parking lot. Just watch out for chickens and roosters running around freely. They are so cute!
E komo mai! Welcome to Waimea Bay!
Some fun facts about Waimea Bay:

Jump Rock!

Warning: Jumping/Diving can cause serious bodily injury or death. For your safety, please stay off rock.
Yes, that’s what the warning sign says. If you simply look at the rock, it looks easy. If you’re there in person, it looks bigger and more dangerous. The waves were pretty strong when I was at Waimea Bay. I was almost pulled into the ocean just by dipping my feet into the ocean water! Luckily, nothing bad happened. I would only recommend experienced divers and good swimmers to participate in this activity.

Laniakea Beach Turtle Beach North Shore Hawaii

Leave a commentGood morning! Welcome to the North Shore in Hawaii! What drew me to this place were the gigantic green sea turtles! Sadly, I wasn’t lucky enough to spot a green sea turtle. π Perhaps next time when I’m in Hawaii. Hopefully, very soon!
The green sea turtles are federally protected under the state law of Hawaii and the Endangered Species Act. Please do not harass the green sea turtles. They are beautiful creatures, by the way. I absolutely love marine animals. I’ve always been captivated by the beauty of marine animals.
If you’ve been to Laniakea Beach or Turtle Beach, have you spotted a green sea turtle? If you have, lucky you! π
Location:
Oahu’s North Shore (see map below)
Parking:
There’s a small parking lot across the beach area. Be careful when you cross the street. Lots of cars driving by. Parking is free.
