Purito From Green Cleansing Oil

I finally finished my bottle of iUNIK Calendula Complete Cleansing Oil and started another cleansing oil. I’ve had this one for a while. I’ve just placed it in the corner until I’m ready to use it again. Since I’m done with iUNIK Calendula Complete Cleansing Oil, I’m ready to try it out again! The cleansing oil I’m using now is Purito From Green Cleansing Oil. Since my skin is at its vulnerable state, I have to be extremely gentle and baby my skin. I thought this cleansing oil would be a really good choice, since it’s olive oil based. From what I remember, it’s a thicker, richer cleansing oil. And that’s something my skin really needs at the moment. Just slathering a bunch of heavy, rich, ultra-moisturizing products on my face for the time being until my skin heals. So the purpose of this cleansing oil is to remove heavy, oily makeup and sunscreen. It helps to break down makeup, impurities, sebum deep within the pores. That sounds perfect! I’ve had this cleansing oil for months, but I’ve only been using it for less than a week. Here are my thoughts on this cleansing oil so far! I hope this is helpful! Read on!

This cleansing oil comes out thick, heavy, and rich. Just like how I remember it. It’s olive oil based. The first ingredient in this product is Olive Fruit Oil. The product is green in color. Just like the packaging. It comes in a 200 mL bottle. It’s not a super affordable cleansing oil compared to the other ones I’ve used. But, let’s try it out anyways since I have it. I take 1-2 pumps of this cleansing oil and apply it to my skin. Since it’s thicker in consistency, it makes it difficult to move it across the face. Sometimes I add a pump of my own oil (not a cleansing oil), so the product glides across my skin much easier and smoother. I’m currently using organic hemp oil. Read more about it here!

When applied to the skin, it feels thick in texture and consistency. Since my skin is in need of products that are heavy and super moisturizing. This fits the bill. It feels very moisturizing on the skin while cleansing the skin, but it doesn’t do a good job at removing makeup, especially my eye makeup (mascara, water-proof eyeliner). I haven’t found a cleansing oil that works at removing makeup very well yet. After rinsing the cleansing oil off of the skin, it does leave a creamy, white residue behind on the skin. I don’t recommend using this cleansing oil alone to cleanse the skin, especially if you have skin that’s prone to breakouts. I recommend following up with a facial cleanser. That’s what I do every time. Make sure I remove every single trace of the cleansing oil off of my facial skin to prevent breakouts from happening.

So this cleansing oil does contain other ingredients too, such as sunflower seed oil, jojoba oil, sweet almond oil, and grapeseed oil. It also contains surfactants to help aid the removal of oils when rinsing the cleansing oil off of the facial skin. The only ingredient in this product I’m afraid of is caprylic/capric triglyceride. As someone with breakout-prone skin, I avoid this ingredient majority of the time unless the product works for me. So far, it’s been a terrible ingredient for my skin type. But, fortunately, this is a cleansing oil, and it’s not left on my skin for very long. It gets rinsed off after gently massaging it into my skin to remove makeup, debris, sebum, and sunscreen. I haven’t had any issues as of yet. So far, it’s working for me. And I love the fact that it doesn’t irritate my skin and feels so darn moisturizing, especially when my skin needs to heal.

✅ Pros

❌ Cons

I really liked Purito From Green Cleansing Oil. It contains oils that work on my skin, such as olive oil (love this one!), almond oil (a bit on the thicker side but doesn’t irritate my skin), sunflower oil, jojoba oil, and grapeseed oil. It does contain caprylic/capric triglyceride, which is coconut-derived, so I don’t know if this is the cleansing oil for me in the long run. But, so far, everything has been going well besides it not being able to remove my eye makeup completely. I need to use another oil to help with that. With this cleansing oil, I haven’t had any breakouts from it yet. I hope I don’t get any breakouts. Since my skin needs a lot of nourishment and conditioning, this cleansing oil is working very well on my skin. It moisturizes, conditions, and feels very soothing on the skin while my skin heals. After this experience, it’s not so bad as I thought it was! This one could work well for the cooler, colder months. But I’m not sure if I’ll pick up another bottle when I finish it, since it’s a little pricey for the amount of product. Right now, it’s good, it works. I wish it was more affordable. I still think my organic hemp oil works better, and it’s less expensive. I think I’m going to stick with that.
