6 Tips to Stay Fuller Longer
Dec. 3, 2019Leave a comment
Thanksgiving is officially over. 🦃 It’s time to get back on track! Here are some helpful tips on how to eat healtheir. I have some more helpful diet tips I wanted to share — it’s on how to stay fuller longer. Have you eaten a meal and still felt hungry afterwards? Well, you’ve come to the right place! I’ve been trying to eat healthier and have tried them all. Here are my thoughts on how to stay fuller longer. I hope this helps!
1. Eat a balanced diet
Eat your carbs, fats, and proteins. Eat your vegetables and fruit. Don’t avoid fruit because it contains sugar. Fruit helps to cut down sugar cravings, and it’s very healthy for you. It contains vitamins, minerals, and fiber. Vegetables are packed with vitamins, minerals, and fiber as well. It is a low calorie food that will make you feel stuffed in large quantities. Keep in mind that having a variety of healthy foods in your diet will keep you full longer and won’t make you crave junk food.
2. No junk food
Stop eating junk food. Junk food is nutritionless and will only add extra pounds to your waistline. It will just make you crave more junk food. It’s that addicting. Quit it cold turkey.
3. Eat your fats
Stick to healthy fats from almonds to peanut butter. Fats really do keep you feeling fuller longer because it takes a while to digest in the body. Eating enough fat is good for the brain, skin, hair, and to help absorb vital nutrients that the body needs to function properly.
4. Eat more fiber
Vegetables are low in calories packed with minerals, vitamins, and fiber. Fruit makes a sweet, healthy satisfying snack inbetween meals. Increasing your fiber intake through vegetables and fruits will prevent you from overeating. Fiber is also beneficial for your digestion. It slows it down, so you end up feeling fuller much longer.
5. Eat until you feel full
You read that right. Eat until you feel full and satisfied! I don’t mean go all out and stuff your face. When you feel full, stop eating. Listen to your body. It will tell you when to stop. Trust your gut instinct.
6. Drink water
If you think you’re hungry, try drinking water. Many people confuse thirst for hunger. You could just be dehydrated. I highly recommend drinking a cup of water before your meal. Doing this can trick your mind into thinking that you are full, so you won’t ruin your diet.

5 Facts About Me You Didn’t Know
Nov. 17, 2019Leave a comment
I decided to compile a list of 5 facts about me. Just for fun. I thought I’d share something about myself. To take a break from writing about beauty and health care products. Just something new. I hope you enjoy this. Thank you for reading. 🙂
#1. I love music
Music is a huge part of my life. When I was a child, my grandma would tell this story where I would keep singing day and night. I was pretty much unstoppable, haha. I love my grandma. ♥ I love singing. It continued throughout my childhood. I started writing lyrics and poems when I was 13 years old. I decided to teach myself the guitar at the age of 14 or 15 years old (somewhere around there). I locked myself in my room and learned by myself. I dedicated hours playing guitar. I enjoyed it. My fingers would be so sore, but it was worth it. My mom thought something was wrong with me. Nothing was wrong with me. I found my passion. It was music. I begged my parents for voice lessons. That’s all I wanted for my birthday, and that’s what they gave me. I ended up doing recitals. I was very shy though. It was hard for me to open up. I didn’t truly open up until later on in life. Music became a way of life. A way to express myself. My emotions.
Every morning, I turn on some music while I’m getting ready and sing along to it. I play it when I’m showering. I sing in the shower, lol. There’s never a time when there isn’t music on. It really eases my mind and makes me happy. I’m a huge sucker for sappy songs. Songs about love. Songs about depression and heartbreak. Everything that makes your eyes red with tears running down your face. Over-dramatic songs that breaks your soul. I love it. I find a lot of that type of music easy to relate to. Music with raw emotion makes the best music.
#2. My favorite romantic film is The Notebook
Even though I’m more into thriller and horror flicks, I must say, The Notebook is my favorite romantic film of all time. It gives me hope that there is such a thing as true love. I do believe in ‘The One’ and having a ‘Soulmate’. Movies like these keeps that faith burning alive.
Have some faith. ♥
One of my favorite scenes from the film is when Allie and Noah breaks up. Allie goes,
“You know what? I’m gonna do it! It’s over. Okay? It’s over.”
“Go!… No, no, just wait a minute, we’re not really breaking up are we? Come on. This is just a fight we’re having and tomorrow will be like it never happened right?”
I like it because it’s very relatable. I think anyone that has been in an intense, deep, committed relationship has had that type of experience before. We are blinded by love and what we are feeling in the moment just comes out in an unfortunate way.
#3. I was a marathon runner
I was one. I spent years accumulating miles. I’m not talking about 6 miles per day. I’m talking about 100+ miles per week. I still can’t believe how I managed to do that along with my work hours. But I did it. It was fun. It was thrilling. It put me out of my element. I was happy. I ran through thunderstorms. I ran through the snow and on ice. I did it all. Once I hit runner’s high, nothing could ever stop me. I just kept going. Nowadays, I’ve given up my marathon lifestyle. It puts a ton of stress on my body. I do workout, but I don’t run that much anymore. Only a few times a week with lots of rest days. I try my best to eat healthy during the week. I do indulge once in a while and treat myself. Life’s too short to worry. Enjoy yourself. 🙂
#4. I’m a vegetarian
I was vegan for 3 years, but I went back to being a vegetarian. At this point in my life, being a vegetarian is what it is. Maybe in the future I’ll go back to vegan. I know vegan isn’t a diet. It’s a lifestyle. I just wanted to put that out there, so no one comes at me with the, “It’s not a diet BS.” The burning question is, “Why am I a vegetarian?” People have asked me this a lot. They’re oh-so-curious about it. Most people I have met are not vegan or vegetarian. Here’s my answer.
The reason why I went vegetarian in the first place was for my skin. When I was eating meat and dairy products, my skin was very bad. It kept getting worse and worse. Once I cut meat and dairy products out, my skin improved. Yep, I went vegetarian due to skin problems.
That doesn’t mean I don’t care about the welfare of animals and the environment. I do. I love that I am putting my part into helping animals and the environment. But, but, you’re vegetarian? How about eggs and dairy? Isn’t that animal exploitation? I am aware. The reason why I went back to being vegetarian is because it was difficult to eat at family gatherings and going out. It’s not like I eat cheese, yogurt, and eggs every single day. I have noticed a difference in my skin from eating vegan vs vegetarian. It’s clear that I shouldn’t consume too many dairy products. It’s really just an option, so I won’t go bonkers when eating with others.
I do think the world would be a better place if people went vegan or at least vegetarian. ✌
#5. I love to travel
Travelling to me is an escape from the boring, routine way of life. I would drop everything and anything in a heartbeat to go to a place that’s not the norm without regrets. I love being in a new environment. I love meeting new people. I love enriching myself with new experiences and learning something new. I love it when life happens unexpectingly (in a positive way). It brings a lot of excitement and anticipation. It really makes life worth living for. I think it’s awesome.
