Here’s an update on rosehip oil. It’s been 8 weeks! I’m sure you have so many questions. Did it work? Did it help with acne? Acne scars? Hyperpigmentation? …

First and foremost, rosehip oil did not break me out. No clogged pores as of yet. I hope it stays that way. So far, it looks like it. 🙂 It looks like it’s the perfect oil for my skin type (oily and acne-prone). Honestly, I was so happy that I found an oil that didn’t clog my pores. Rosehip supposedly has a lot of skin benefits, such as delivering hydration, skin brightening, fading acne scars, evening out the complexion, protecting the skin from sun damage, and so much more! But, I haven’t noticed much from using rosehip oil. When applied alone, it didn’t leave my skin feeling moisturized. I had to mix it with my other creams and oils to achieve the hydration that I want. I haven’t noticed it fading acne scars or hyperpigmentation either. No skin brightening effect either. That doesn’t mean I don’t like rosehip oil. I think it’s a great addition to my skin care routine to hydrate my skin even if the hydration is minimal, and it works great with other moisturizers and lotions! Maybe I have to use it much longer to see benefits/results? I’ll keep using it due to the fact that it hasn’t clogged my pores. Also, winter is almost here, and I really do need that extra hydration, especially when it doesn’t clog my pores. I’ll make another update in a few months. Stay tuned! 🙂
