So retinoids are great for anti-aging and acne. Well, I have a problem. It’s not working for my acne…fully. I’ve noticed some clogged pores on my cheeks, jawline, and chin. They’re so annoying! Unless…I’m not done with the purging yet. 🤔 I’m still peeling and noticing pimples. It’s on and off with the pimples that it’s so annoying. I can see closed comedones along my jawline. Ew. But, it’s been 3 months. Hmmm. Could be from the dry skin too OR retinoids isn’t a cure all for acne. Who knows. Since I’m not using a retinoid every night (I can’t, too drying), I was debating between adding benzoyl peroxide back in my skin care routne or lactic acid. I was leaning towards benzoyl peroxide because I know it’s effective, but the side effects put me off — prolongs acne scars, makes complexion dull, dries out the skin, makes wrinkles more prominent, etc. I want to focus on getting rid of acne and anti-aging at the same time. Since benzoyl peroxide isn’t going to give me that, lactic acid it is. I don’t know if it’s going to work. I’m just going to have to try it out and see what happens…
