Here are my 2 weeks results on BHA and BP! 🙂

I was going to use BP 3 times this week, but I ended up using it only 2 times. My skin felt a little dry, and I didn’t want to irritate my skin. Maybe next week. I’ll have to see how it goes. But honestly, I can’t believe how effective BP is now. Maybe it’s because my skin isn’t congested with a bunch of skin care products. It’s working with a minimal skin care routine. As for my face wash, I’m still leaning towards the 10% BP wash. It cleans my skin better. I’ve only used the 4% a few times this week. BUT, surprise! I started using Trader Joe’s Tea Tree Face Wash again. I’m not using it alone. I’m using it along with the BP wash. I didn’t feel like the BP was fully cleaning my skin, so I use a combo of these two cleansers to make sure my skin is 100% clean. And it worked! My skin feels so nice! When I think about it, I had clear skin when I was using the Trader Joe’s Tea Tree Face Wash. It SHOULD work. Must’ve been all of those other skin care products I was using that ruined my skin. Also, this week, I removed some skin care products. They are…

I removed almost all of the The Ordinary skin care products. I only have one left that I use on my face. It’s the Caffeine eye serum. The thing is, it’s not applied on my acne-prone areas. Only my eyes. Overall, The Ordinary didn’t live up to my expectations. I’m happy I gave it up because I’m not dealing with blackheads, whiteheads, random closed comedoness, and clogged pores anymore. I noticed my pores clearing out the day after I stopped using it. The difference was shocking. I couldn’t believe it. The Ordinary may be loved by many, but it just doesn’t work for some people. That would be me.

And cleansing oils…

I too removed cleansing oils by the end of the week. I didn’t think they would be the culprit of clogged pores, but I’m looking at products that are the least suspicious. Cleansing oils fall under that category. I do cleanse my face with another face wash after when using cleansing oils, but it’s better to safe than sorry. My skin didn’t improve or feel more moisturized using them. I’m going to stick to what I usually do when I had clear skin. And that is using pure oils like jojoba oil and evoo with no other ingredients in it. Both worked well on my skin as a makeup remover. Didn’t clog my pores. I had clear skin. I really don’t know why I changed it up. It’s time to go back to the tried and true.
