Here’s an update on the Purito Comfy Water Sunblock!

I think my relationship with this sunblock is coming to an end, lol. I really wanted to make it work, but it just didn’t work for me. I mean, I love the texture and consistency of the formula when I dispense it out of the tube. But once applied onto the skin, I couldn’t get over the fact that it rolls off my skin even when I let the product dry on my skin FOR HOURS. The product balls up on my skin far too often. I also thought the sunblock was quite drying when used over time. It made my skin look terrible by accentuating pores, fine lines, and wrinkles. If I had a pimple, it made it look worse. So, I’m done with this sunblock. I wouldn’t recommend it either. I think it’s overhyped.

I’ve been testing out sunblocks. This is one of them. The Purito Comfy Water Sun Block. Read on! ?

About Purito Comfy Water Sun Block:

Review:

I’ve been using Purito Comfy Water Sun Block on and off to see if I like it or not. The texture of the sunblock cream is very nice and pleasant. It feels gentle on the skin. Definitely a good choice for sensitive skin. I prefer sunblocks that are made for sensitive skin because I have issues finding a good sunblock that isn’t irritating or drying. And the majority of sunblocks I have used have been too irritating and drying (at the same time), which isn’t a good combo. This sunblock in particular wasn’t too drying. It didn’t drench my skin in moisture though. A little bit of moisture is better than none.

So this sunblock contains zinc, zinc-based sunblocks tend to leave a white cast on the face. This sunblock does leave a subtle white cast on the skin. Not too bad. I did quite a bit of research on it before purchasing it. I’m curious about how much zinc or protection it gives. ? Maybe not a lot because all of the zinc-based sunblocks I have used left a noticeable white cast on my face. In saying that, I do think some protection is better than nothing. I try my best to wear sunblock even though my skin doesn’t like it.

The good: Nice texture, consistency, gives the skin some moisture, and doesn’t irritate the skin compared to other sunblocks I have used. Also, it doesn’t feel thick and heavy on the skin. ?? The bad: Unsure about how much protection it gives. And a few other things I would like to mention…

It takes time for the sunblock to absorb into the skin. This is a negative when it comes to mornings when I don’t have time to let it fully absorb into the skin. You’re probably thinking, shouldn’t we wait for the product to fully absorb into the skin? The thing is, I’ve used several other sunblocks without having to wait for it to fully absorb but just enough without any issues. With that in mind, what happens when this sunblock doesn’t fully absorb into the skin is that it rubs off of the skin. Honestly, I’m on the fence about this sunblock. I like it, but I don’t like how it takes forever to absorb into the skin plus the pilling. Sometimes, on days when I have time to let the sunblock absorb, it still rolls off of my face, especially when I wear makeup. I’m going to use the rest of the sunblock to see if it works for me or not. Test it out a little more. I’ll give it some time and come back with another update.

To be continued… 🙂
