Olay Regenerist Detoxifying Pore Scrub

It’s time for a review on Olay Regenerist Detoxifying Pore Scrub! It’s been 2 months since I’ve last talked about this face scrub. I sometimes use this face scrub before I cleanse my skin with my regular, everyday face wash — Trader Joe’s Spa Face Wash with Tea Tree Oil. And, it’s not too bad. I mean, as a face scrub, it didn’t make much of a difference in my skin. It works good as a facial cleanser though. The tube is labeled as a ‘detoxifying pore scrub’ and says ‘cleanse’ on it. I think it’s just a cleanser. If you’re looking for a true exfoliant that removes dead skin cells from the face, look for another skin care product that is made to do so. I know it says that it gently exfoliates the skin. Again, no changes in my skin whatsoever. I’m still using Acure Brightening Facial Scrub. It’s way more aggressive, but it’s working for me. I like it. I use it 2-3 times a week depending on the condition of my skin. If I see a build up of dead skin, I use it. If my skin feels tender, I skip it.

Would I recommend Olay Regenerist Detoxifying Pore Scrub? If you’re looking for a basic facial cleanser, yes. As a facial scrub? No. It doesn’t work as one.

One of the facial scrubs I picked out from Olay. This is the Olay Regenerist Detoxifying Pore Scrub. Lately, I’ve been loving facial scrubs. They have improved my skin a lot. They remove dead skin cells off of my face, so that means less clogged pores. Yay! 😀

The purpose of this facial scrub is to deep clean while smoothing the skin’s surface with gentle exfoliators. I have a stronger/harsher face scrub that I use (Acure Brightening Facial Scrub) to remove dead skin cells, but sometimes it’s good to gently remove dull skin from the face. Also, the downside to using Acure Brightening Facial Scrub is that it has clogged my sink plenty of times. That annoys me a lot. I haven’t used this face scrub yet. I’ll do a review when I do. Stay tuned for that!

Have you used Olay Regenerist Detoxifying Pore Scrub before? How did it work for you? Share your thoughts!

Love, Jen
