Review: Clinique Even Better Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15
Here’s my review on Clinique Even Better Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15! First and foremost, the shade of this foundation works on my skin. I love that, but this foundation didn’t work for me in the end. IT BROKE ME OUT BADLY! I developed cystic acne because of it. Looking at the ingredients list, it contains seed butter. Hmmm, yeah, I should’ve known that it wouldn’t work. Did Clinique change the formula of this foundation? It didn’t break me out in the past. The finish of this foundation is more dewy too (from what I remember), which makes my skin more oily. I tried applying makeup powder over it. It worked for the first few days, but the shine just broke through. The concept of this foundation is great. I just can’t use something that gives me acne. Clinique Acne Solutions Liquid Makeup, on the other hand, hasn’t broken me out. The only problem I have so far with it is that it is darker on my complexion. I’ll take that any day over having cystic acne.

I have another liquid foundation! It’s Clinique Even Better Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15! This is something I have used before many years ago. Lately I’ve been testing out foundations, since I’m not satisfied with my bb creams. This one popped in my mind, and I decided to give it another shot! Here are my thoughts on it!
I’ve used this a couple of times already. The shade I have is Shell. When I first dispensed the foundation onto my hand, I was very impressed by the shade. It’s actually fair! Even though the product is supposed to be cool-neutral undertones, it looks like it has slight yellow undertones in it. It worked for me! 🙂 Coverage is moderate. The finish is soft and natural. I used a powder after applying the liquid foundation to give my skin a matte finish. Works! It contains SPF 15, which is awesome! I haven’t used this foundation long enough to say much about fading dark spots from acne. I’m not relying on this foundation to fade acne scars, but I think it’s nice that it helps. I like this foundation a lot more compared to Clinique Acne Solutions Liquid Makeup. The shade suits my skin better. It’s also less drying on the skin. I really like foundations that help to even out the skin tone too. Clinique Acne Solutions Liquid Makeup doesn’t have SPF. Everything is good so far with the Even Better foundation. I’ll make another update in a few weeks. Let’s see if it helps to even out my complexion or not.
