Derma E Vitamin C Instant Radiance Citrus Face Peel

One of the face masks I’m using in my skin care routine is called Derma E Vitamin C Instant Radiance Citrus Facial Peel. Before I put my thoughts out there on this skin care product, let’s see what the purpose of this skin care product is.

Ingredients:

Purified Water, Citrus Sinensis (Orange) Peel, Glycerin (Vegetable Derived), Hydroxypropyl Starch Phosphate (Sugar Starch), Glycolic Acid, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Vitamin C, Stay-C® 50), Phytic Acid, Sodium Gluconate, Organic Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Extract*, Panthenol (Provitamin B5), Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid), Lactic Acid, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Xanthan Gum, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Iron Oxides (CI 77492,CI 77491), Jojoba Esters, Orange Terpenes.

Directions:

  1. Apply a thin layer once per week after cleansing. Apply to the face, neck, décolleté, tops of hands and leave on for 3-5 minutes.
  2. Use provided mini spoon to remove the peel while massaging the skin.
  3. Rinse with cool water to neutralize peel (slight tingling after application is normal).
  4. Follow with your favorite Derma E moisturizer.
  5. Avoid eye area.
  6. Do not apply on broken or irritated skin.

My thoughts on Derma E Vitamin C Instant Radiance Citrus Facial Peel:

Derma E Vitamin C Instant Radiance Citrus Face Peel
This is what the facial peel looks like. It comes with a mini spoon.

I followed the instructions on how to use this facial peel. Apply a thin layer and leave on for 3-5 minutes. I only used it on my facial skin, neck, and décolleté. I didn’t use it on top of my hands. I used the mini spoon provided. Rinse with cool water. I didn’t use a Derma E moisturizer afterwards. I used my own (not Derma E) moisturizer. I used it 3 times already. Going on the 4th this week. Once a week only.

My experience with this facial peel is that it works. I can feel the peel tingling on my skin. I make sure to only leave it on for 5 minutes. Never exceeding 5 minutes. I can feel how powerful this product is on my skin. It shows. I always end up with a few pimples afterwards. The pimples clear up the following days after. I’m left with smoother skin. It didn’t irritate my skin or cause any redness.

So the facial peel is good. I’m not a huge fan of the spoon. Sometimes the facial peel would dry up on my skin, and I’m incapable of removing it with the mini spoon. The spoon is a hit or miss. I’m just not a big fan of it. I’ll continue to follow the instructions and see what happens.

This facial peel is a once a week kind of thing. I’ll make an update when a couple more months have gone by. So far, I really like it. 🙂 Have you used Derma E Vitamin C Instant Radiance Citrus Face Peel before? How did it go for you? Share your experience with everyone!!

September 9, 2019 UPDATE: On the 4th week, I was very displeased with the results. My skin didn’t feel or look soft, smoother anymore. My skin felt very dry. I stopped using this facial peel from there on. I’m on the 5th week, and I’m not interested in including this skin care product in my skin care routine anymore. I thought it worked, but all it did was dry out my skin (even when I moisturize my skin daily). I think I’m better off using a facial scrub instead. I’ve seen better results from that. Also, if I wanted glycolic acid in my skin care routine, it’s more beneficial for it to be left on the skin (not as a face mask). I don’t recommend this facial peel at all. Save your money.

Love, Jen
