Milani Conceal + Perfect Foundation
Milani Conceal + Perfect Foundation in Porcelain & Ivory

I usually use Dr Jart+ Silver Label Rejuvenating BB Cream, but I’ve been using Milani Conceal + Perfect Foundation for about 2 weeks. I have the shades Porcelain and Ivory. I picked these foundations up because I wanted to try a drugstore foundation instead. I didn’t want to pay 20+ for a foundation anymore. I’m really glad I did. Before I do a review on the Milani Conceal + Perfect Foundation, here’s more information on this foundation.

Here are my thoughts:

Let me start off by saying that Milani Conceal + Perfect Foundation is easily accessible. I don’t have to buy it from a specific place. I can go to Target and pick it up. They have a variety of shades that look natural on the skin. As I mentioned before, I have Porcelain and Ivory. Porcelain is lighter compared to Ivory. Ivory is a tad darker with yellow undertones. Porcelain matches me more. Ivory makes me look too yellow. The texture of the foundation is easy to blend into the skin. It does conceal imperfections better compared to other drugstore foundations I’ve used. If you have really prominent post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, you will need a separate concealer for heavier, fuller coverage.

This foundation does have a fragrance. Take it or leave it. I got used to it, so it doesn’t bother me as much anymore. Coverage is medium to full coverage. If used alone without a makeup primer, medium coverage. With a makeup primer, full. Unfortunately, the foundation doesn’t last long on the skin. I’ve noticed that it comes off easily (with and without a makeup primer). Milani does make the complexion appear smoother. I think I would purchase this foundation again, since it actually does provide better coverage compared to other drugstore foundations I’ve used. My skin is clearing up rapidly, so I won’t need to wear a lot of foundation anymore. It works. It’s pretty much half the price of my Dr Jart+ Silver Label Rejuvenating BB Cream too. I wouldn’t mind saving on foundation.

Vegan Makeup Milani Conceal + Perfect Shine-Proof Powder

I haven’t worn makeup for the past months at all. I was thinking about getting rid of my BB Creams. They were making my skin appear more oily. Oh how I love the way BB Creams make my skin appear flawless and wonderful. But, they might’ve been contributing to my clogged pores. Every single time I remove my BB Cream, I noticed tiny bumps. I always make sure I remove my makeup thoroughly too.

I decided to test out foundation in powder form (without BB Cream). I used to wear powder foundation only. I found a makeup powder called Milani Conceal + Perfect Shine-Proof Powder. It’s vegan, cruelty-free, oil-absorbing, pore tightening, and skin mattifying. Sounds awesome! Here it is! ?

As you can see, I was too excited to use it, haha. It came with a sponge. I haven’t used a sponge in so long. I usually use a makeup brush to apply my makeup. That’s foundation and blush on the sponge. ?

Shade: Nude

I chose the shade Nude (light with yellow undertones). I realized that the shade was too dark on my skin when I applied it. ? From looking at the color in the compact, it looked like it would be a perfect match for my complexion. As for any makeup, you really need to try it on your skin to see if it matches or not. The color in the compact is certainly decieving! Besides not being a match, the quality and texture was good. I think it’s on par with more expensive brands. The powder stayed on. I used a makeup spray. I think that helped the powder stay put. This makeup powder wasn’t bad for the price ($10-$11). It didn’t irritate my skin. No new acne. I can’t believe it’s vegan!!!

You know, wearing makeup again for the first time after being free of makeup was different. I didn’t think it would make such a huge impact on me mentally. I think I prefer my face without makeup. Makeup made my face look so made up. I can go out on a limb and say fake. ? I used to love the way makeup made me look and feel. This time, it didn’t. I’ve been looking at my bare face day and night that I’m used to it. I will have to re-evaluate what type of makeup I want to wear and how much. I’m leaning towards the minimal side. It was fun to try new stuff out though.

Have you used Milani Conceal + Perfect Shine-Proof Powder? How was the shade? Did it work for you? Share your thoughts!

Milani Stay Put Matte 17HR Wear Liquid Eyeliner

Milani Stay Put Matte 17HR Wear Liquid Eyeliner

Here’s my review on Milani Stay Put Matte 17HR Wear Liquid Eyeliner. I’ve been using this liquid eyeliner for ages! I have the one in Black Matte. It’s my go-to eyeliner. I’ve used plenty of liquid eyeliners in the past, but I always come back to this one for several good reasons. Let’s begin!

Brush:

The brush applicator is pointy and soft. It’s great at creating thin, medium, and thick lines. You have total control over it. I’m able to reach the inner corners of my eyes and pull it out to the outer corners of my eyes easily. It doesn’t tug my delicate skin. It works wonderfully.

Color:

Here’s a swatch of the liquid eyeliner. As I mentioned earlier, I have Black Matte. There is no other color I want but Black Matte! The liquid eyeliner is concentrated in rich color at first then it becomes lighter, faded. I do have to re-dip my brush applicator several times to achieve a concentration of color on my lids. The good thing about this liquid eyeliner is that you can layer it on as often as you would like without causing the product to become crusty and flaky. It still looks good in the end. ?

Lasting Power:

It doesn’t last 17 hours as it claims, but it does last for a decent amount of time. I do have to reapply when the color isn’t as bold anymore, which is about 1-2 times after the first application. Not bad at all. Also, it does a pretty good job staying in place in pure humidity and sweat. I wouldn’t go for a swim with this liquid eyeliner on though. I wouldn’t wear makeup at all but water-resistant sunblock. ?

Finish:

As the product states, liquid to matte. Love it.

Milani Stay Put Matte 17HR Wear Liquid Eyeliner is pretty good for the price even though it has minor flaws here and there. I’m willing to put up with it because I’ve tried more expensive liquid eyeliners that worked just about the same or were even worse. I will continue to use this liquid eyeliner unless the formula changes. Or, if I find another liquid eyeliner that works better for me. I would highly recommend Milani Stay Put Matte 17HR Wear Liquid Eyeliner if you’re searching for a good, affordable liquid eyeliner! Go grab my favorite liquid eyeliner right here!

Milani Stay Put Matte 17HR Wear Liquid Eyeliner

More Milani makeup! This time, it’s Milani Stay Put Matte 17HR Wear Liquid Eyeliner.

Milani Stay Put Matte 17HR Wear Liquid Eyeliner (Black Matte):

I’ve been using Milani Stay Put Matte 17HR Wear Liquid Eyeliner in Black Matte for sooo many years. This is my to-go-to liquid eyeliner. It’s a part of my makeup routine whenever I wear makeup. It’s simple and classic. Last of all, it’s pretty affordable. As you may all know by now, I’m not that big on makeup. I’m more of a eat healthy and skin care type of person. I’ve said this before, but Milani makeup products are not tested on animals. I try my best to navigate towards that side of the spectrum when possible. Also, not all Milani makeup products are vegan. It’s best to contact the company for the most recent update of the ingredients to be 100% sure it’s vegan. It would be nice if the company labeled their products vegan or not. It would be much easier and more helpful to anyone that’s searching for fully vegan, cruelty-free makeup products. Just a thought. A review coming up soon. ?

Milani Even-Touch Powder Foundation

Milani Even-Touch Powder Foundation

I am officially reviewing Milani Even-Touch Powder Foundation! I’ve been using this foundation for such a long time! Just like the Milani Baked Blushes I recently reviewed. Here it goes!

Milani Even-Touch Powder Foundation:

Swatch of Milani Even-Touch Powder Foundation:

Milani Even Touch Powder Foundation in Natural Tan

Milani Even Touch Powder Foundation in Natural Tan

You might be wondering why I’m using a shade like Natural Tan on my light, pale complexion. Well, I actually use this powder foundation as a contour powder. Milani makeup products are cheap and affordable, so why not? I’ve used more expensive contour makeup products before and didn’t think they were worth it in the long run. I eventually found this powder foundation. Thankfully. Natural Tan is a very nice color. It has golden-beige undertones. It’s not the best match for my skin tone, but it seems to work just fine. I can deal, especially for the price of it. I can’t comment on the coverage, since I haven’t used it as a full face foundation. Also, I can’t say if it covers imperfections. I haven’t tried it. It works great as an inexpensive contour powder though! I like this powder. No breakouts. No skin irritations. Texture is very nice for a drugstore brand. It’s super soft and velvety. I would buy it again. I might even purchase another one as a full face powder! ? I’m up for testing it out!
