Review: Yes To Detoxifying Charcoal Shampoo & Conditioner

It’s been 3 weeks of using Yes To Detoxifying Charcoal Shampoo & Conditioner! It’s time for a review on both! Check out my previous post on the shampoo and conditioner here. Here are my results!

Yes To Detoxifying & Deep Cleansing Charcoal Shampoo:

When I first started using the shampoo, I was impressed. It foamed up and cleaned my hair well. It left my hair bouncy, full, and volumized! I was really happy that I have found a shampoo that works! A week later, my hair became super dry. I used the shampoo with the Yes To Detoxifying & Ultra-Moisturizing Charcoal Conditioner, and my hair kept losing moisture as the days went by. With the shampoo, a really good conditioner is a must. The Yes To Detoxifying & Ultra-Moisturizing Charcoal Conditioner didn’t cut it (review below). From my experience, I’m not sure if I would purchase the shampoo again or not. Maybe if I could find a good moisturizing conditioner that pairs up well with the shampoo? The shampoo isn’t too bad. I just wouldn’t use it every day as a daily shampoo. Perhaps, only 1-2 times a week to remove build-up and clarify my hair. The question is, “Is it worth it?” I would much prefer a shampoo that I could use on a day-to-day basis. I’m trying to keep my beauty products to a minimum right now.

Yes To Detoxifying & Ultra-Moisturizing Charcoal Conditioner:

The conditioner was the biggest disappointment of the two. The instructions says to work a dollop of conditioner through hair to nourish and restore its natural luster. I followed the instructions as stated. I used the Yes To Detoxifying & Ultra-Moisturizing Charcoal Conditioner after the Yes To Detoxifying & Deep Cleansing Charcoal Shampoo. I worked a dollop of the product into my hair. The product vanished into my hair before my eyes. I kept doing this but never achieved results. It didn’t provide my hair any moisture. So, I decided to leave the conditioner in my hair for 5-10 minutes to see if that would make a difference. Nope! Still, no moisture. It’s called an Ultra-Moisturizing Conditioner, but it’s more like a Non-Moisturizing Conditioner. At the moment, I’m still trying to get it to work, since I have a lot of product left. It’s just not working. Well, at least I can say that I’ve given it a chance. Multiple chances. I wouldn’t recommend the conditioner if you’re looking for one that moisturizes like it’s supposed to. This one is plain horrible!

Off I go in search for a cruelty-free, vegan shampoo and conditioner! Any recommendations? Share! Have you used Yes To Detoxifying & Deep Cleansing Charcoal Shampoo and Yes To Detoxifying & Ultra-Moisturizing Charcoal Conditioner? Did they work for you? Share your experience by leaving a comment!

Yes To Detoxifying Charcoal Shampoo & Conditioner

I’m still currently using Trader Joe’s Nourishing Spa Shampoo & Conditioner, but I did purchase a new set of hair care products. Since I know which Yes To beauty products are legitimately vegan, I decided to purchase a pair of hair care products from the Yes To brand. I chose Yes To Detoxifying & Deep Cleansing Charcoal Shampoo and Yes To Detoxifying & Ultra-Moisturizing Charcoal Conditioner. More information on each one:

I’ve always been curious about Yes To hair care products, especially the charcoal-based ones. I really like charcoal-based beauty products. For example, I’m using a teeth whitening toothpaste that contains activated charcoal. It’s called Cali White Activated Charcoal & Coconut Oil Toothpaste. It’s been close to a month of use already. I will make an update when I’m done with the tube! ? So, I’m very excited about starting my new shampoo and conditioner. I’m getting tired of going about the day with flat and lifeless hair! It totally ruins my whole look and makes me feel gross. Well, let’s hope for the best! I hope Yes To Detoxifying Charcoal Shampoo & Conditioner works out for me! *fingers crossed*
