NYX BB Cream Beauty Balm??
I purchased NYX BB Cream Beauty Balm about 1 year ago. It looks like the BB Cream is still good for use. It doesn’t have a smell or feel tacky. I decided to give it a go again. Why?? As I was using my elf Flawless Finish Foundation without a primer, the foundation looked dry and accentuated fine lines and wrinkles on my skin. I could see patches of my skin care products (that I applied to my skin, that I let soak in) balling up. That simply means the skin care + foundation was rolling off of my face! Devastating! :'(
I realized I still have a BB Cream sitting around untouched. Lo and behold, NYX BB Cream Beauty Balm to the rescue! For some odd reason, it worked this time. I didn’t use it as a BB Cream. I used it as a makeup primer only. The tint to this BB Cream was completely useless. It doesn’t cover anything on the skin, but I didn’t care. I wanted to see if it worked as a primer or not with my new foundation — elf Flawless Finish Foundation.
What I did was follow my morning regimen, let my skin care products soak into my skin, apply NYX BB Cream Beauty Balm, then apply my elf Flawless Finish Foundation. IT WORKED. The foundation looked smooth, natural, and matte. I’ve been doing this for three days straight to see if my skin will react negatively or not. So far, no breakouts and no signs of irritation. My skin looks good. My makeup looks flawless! I love how my makeup looks sooo natural. With the elf Flawless Finish Foundation, the NYX BB Cream Blemish Balm worked.
I’m glad I gave NYX BB Cream Blemish Balm a second chance. I will continue to use it as my primer if it doesn’t break me out. Have you used NYX BB Cream Blemish Balm before? Did it work for you? Share your thoughts!

Review: NYX BB Cream Beauty Balm
It’s time for me to do a review on NYX BB Cream Beauty Balm. I’ve been using this BB Cream for about a week. That seems like a short time, but it’s not. So, I really liked the texture of this BB Cream. It’s creamy, soft, and smooth. It has a fragrance, but the smell fades away quick. It slightly brightens my complexion once applied to the skin. Sadly, the brightening effect doesn’t last after a few minutes. In my opinion, NYX BB Cream Beauty Balm is not a BB Cream. It’s far from it. It’s not a tinted moisturizer either. It is basically a makeup primer. It feels silicon-y to touch. There is absolutely no coverage when wearing this BB Cream. With NYX BB Cream Beauty Balm, my face became an oily mess every time I wore it. It seems to trap sebum within my pores. This mechanism caused acne to form. Even though I can’t use NYX BB Cream Beauty Balm on my facial skin due to it causing me to break out in acne, I can use it as an eyeshadow primer or around my eyes before applying concealer.
It does help to diminish fine lines and wrinkles. Honestly, I really loved the way it moisturized my skin and how it made the appearance of my skin smoother-looking! Even with no coverage! It’s a shame that it didn’t work. It’s not made for my particular skin type. The oily, acne-prone skin type. It claims to be for All Skin Types too, lol. NYX BB Cream Beauty Balm is more suitable for dry to normal skin. Lucky you if you have that skin type! Acne sufferers, if you’re interested in this BB Cream, use with caution! In conclusion, I still think my current BB Creams are better. I use Skin 79 and Dr Jart+. Both are Asian-based BB Creams, by the way. Asian-based BB Creams are the best! My First Time: NYX BB Cream Beauty Balm
BB Creams are lovely indeed. They are a combination of skincare and makeup in one single product. What more can a girl ask for? ? Today, I’m going to use my NYX BB Cream Beauty Balm Cream for the first time. So far, my favorite BB Creams are Skin 79 Super Beblesh Balm Triple Functions and Dr Jart+ Rejuvenating Silver Label BB Cream. Let’s see how this BB Cream holds up to my favorite BB Creams. Let’s test out NYX BB Cream Beauty Balm! ?

I’m going to unbox the NYX BB Cream Beauty Balm. The box design matches the BB Cream tube. They both have that white and peachy color. This BB Cream isn’t sealed. When I removed the cap, the cream began to ooze out. Watch out for that.

Here’s a swatch of the NYX BB Cream Beauty Balm. The shade, Natural, blends into my complexion quite well.
NYX BB Cream Beauty Balm is creamy and soft to touch. It glides on the skin effortlessly. It blends into the skin very well. It made my skin feel moisturized and silky smooth. Looking at the ingredients, it contains silicones, which does a great job at smoothing out the skin. It does make the skin look slightly brighter. Nothing great to call home about. This BB Cream has a faint, light fragrance to it. The fragrance fades away within a few minutes of application. As for the color, the shade isn’t too light or too dark for my complexion. I like it. It looks very, very natural on my skin. For people with a tanner, deeper complexion, obviously this wouldn’t work. One of the downsides to BB Creams, they only come in a few shades, and they are usually for light to medium skin tones.
Is NYX BB Cream Beauty Balm a BB Cream? In my opinion, NYX BB Cream Beauty Balm is called a BB Cream, but it is not a BB Cream. It’s a tinted moisturizer and a primer with very little coverage. I would advise using it under your foundation instead. I wouldn’t use it alone and by itself. That would be pretty pointless due to the very low coverage it offers. It doesn’t conceal dark under eye circles either. I can clearly see my dark under eye circles with it on. You’ll need a concealer for that. As for break-outs, I haven’t used it long enough to say if it clogs pores or not. We will have to see with continued use. Lastly, it doesn’t contain SPF for sun protection. What a bummer. My favorite BB Creams provide a SPF of 50+ PA+++ (Skin 79) and SPF of 35 PA++ (Dr Jart+). Sun protection is very important to maintaining a youthful and wrinkle-free complexion. NYX BB Cream Beauty Balm loses points for that.

NYX isn’t a new brand to me. I’m very familiar with it. I’ve used their eyeshadows, eyeliners, lipsticks, blushes, powder foundations but never their liquid foundations or BB Creams. Now, here I am, with a tube of BB Cream from NYX! From the looks of it, it doesn’t look like it’ll provide much coverage compared to my current BB Creams (Skin 79 Super Beblesh Balm Triple Functions and Dr Jart+ Rejuvenating Silver Label BB Cream). From my personal experience, US-based/Western BB Creams are disguised as tinted moisturizers. That’s the honest truth. But, my skin has been looking healthier, smoother, clearer from eating healthier and drinking green smoothies, so it might work out! Let’s see how this BB Cream goes!
