Review: Olay Total Effects 7-in-One Foaming Cleanser
Here’s another review on an Olay skin care product. It’s the Olay Total Effects 7-in-One Foaming Cleanser. This isn’t a face scrub. It’s a face wash. I’ve used this face wash on and off in the morning. The foaming cleanser feels gentle and soft on the skin. The product claims to clean, refresh, brighten, soften, purify, minimize the look of pores, visibly smooths. Yes, it’s gentle and leaves the skin feeling soft. But, I haven’t noticed any brightening, minimizing the appearance of pores, or smoothing of the skin. I didn’t think this face wash was refreshing either. It didn’t leave my skin feeling clean and ‘refreshed’. I needed to follow up with another face wash to clean my face afterwards. This face wash isn’t for me. It would work better for people with dry, sensitive skin. I wouldn’t purchase it again for my skin type. There are better options out there for me.

Olay Total Effects 7-in-One Foaming Cleanser
I picked up a new face wash. Just to test out. Everyone should know by now that I’m madly in love with my Trader Joe’s SPA Face Wash with Tea Tree Oil. I’ve been using it for YEARS. Well, it works on my skin without drying it out or making me break out. But…I always wonder what else is out there. Is there any other face wash that could be decent or better?? So I purchased Olay Total Effects 7-in-One Foaming Cleanser. I haven’t used an Olay skin care product in goodness knows how many years. What about this cleanser?
As stated on the back of the tube, there are 7 benefits to it.

- Refreshes
- Brightens
- Gently Purifies
- Softens
- Minimize the look of pores
- Visibly Smooths
The claims that stood out to me the most were Brightens and Minimize the look of pores. I love skin care products that brighten the skin up, and I have issues with large pores, especially on my nose. They are annoying as heck.
I have used this face wash a couple of times here and there. From that experience, the face wash is nice and foamy. It cleanses the skin. It hasn’t made me break out in acne or clogged my pores. I haven’t used it long enough to give a thorough review. It does feel refreshing but don’t all foaming facial cleansers feel refreshing? Yes, yes, they do. I can’t say if it softens, visibly smooths, or brightens yet. One thing I have noticed is that it’s slightly less drying compared to my Trader Joe’s. Just a little bit. I’m thinking about using this face wash in the morning then use my Trader Joe’s at night. That’s what I’m going to do. Stay tuned for an update on Olay Total Effects 7-in-One Foaming Cleanser!
