3 Month Update: The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG

I’m very excited to share my thoughts on The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG! 🙂 It’s been 3 months using this product! I have about a quarter of product left. This stuff lasts forever! I started off using it twice a day. Using it twice a day was too drying for my under eyes. I decreased my usage to once a day. That worked better for me. I became a little optimistic and tried using it twice a day again to see what happens. Yep, it’s way too drying for my under eyes, lol. Once a day is what my skin likes. I only use it at night too, since I don’t have to apply sunblock or makeup on top of the serum. No worries about pilling, dryness, or any other issues.
My results after 3 months…
This stuff is amazing! I stopped using The INKEY Caffeine Eye Cream when I finished it. I really like The Ordinary’s a lot more. Check out my reviews on The INKEY right here —

Back to The Ordinary’s Caffeine Serum…
This product is really good at smoothing out fine lines, but it does not get rid of them. I don’t think it’s possible to get rid of fine lines or even wrinkles without invasive procedures. It’s a part of aging. It’s natural. But, we can do our best to minimize them. This is a good product to smooth out fine lines under the eyes. For deeper wrinkles, you can try it, but from my experience, it works more on fine lines. It doesn’t hurt to try to smooth out deeper wrinkles. Maybe it just takes more time for it to minimize deeper wrinkles. I’ll have to continue to use this product to see what happens in the next couple of months. For dark under eye circles, it helped a lot with my dark under eye circles. That was the first thing I noticed. One of the top reasons why I like this product so much! After 3 months, I like it even more. It works better than what I’ve used in the past. 👍🏻 Can’t wait to see improvements (if any) in the future! Another update coming up soon…

Review:
I used The Ordinary Caffeine Solution for one month. This serum is serum/gel-like in texture. When I applied it to the skin around my eyes, it went on nicely. I didn’t have to blend it in much. All I do is glide the serum over the skin around my eyes and let it sink in. It takes a little bit of time to absorb into the skin. FYI, you don’t need a lot of product. I only use one drop for both eyes. After a month, I still have a lot of product left.
After a month of using this serum, I’ve already seen results. It didn’t get rid of fine lines and wrinkles, but it did smooth them out just a little. It also helped reduce the appearance of dark under eye circles. My dark under eye circles definitely benefited from this eye serum a lot more. 👍🏻 That sounds great and all, but there’s one thing I would like to mention. I thought the serum was drying even when I apply moisturizers on my skin. The weird thing is that it didn’t feel drying, but I can tell that my eye area looked dry when I apply makeup on. I can see that my eye area is flaking/being exfoliated. 👀 It’s not a good look either, lol. So I only use this eye serum at night. The recommended use is in the AM and PM. That’s way too much for me.
So from this experience with the caffeine eye serum, I like it. I have terrible dark under eye circles due to my complexion being fair (and I try to get enough sleep + eat healthy + drink lots of water). I still have them. With this serum, it has lessened the darkness a bit. If you have dark under eye circles, give it a shot. As for fine lines and wrinkles, maybe you’ll have better luck than me. I’m going to continue to use the caffeine eye serum. I’ll make an update within another month or so. Stay tuned for my updated review! See you there! 😃
