Review: Pacifica Pineapple Curls Curl Defining Shampoo
This is the latest shampoo I have been using. I’ve been using it for a few months. So this shampoo smells really good. It’s fruity…pineapple as the product states. Love the smell! It’s moisturizing and doesn’t leave the hair strands dry, but I don’t think it cleans my hair well enough. It’s not bad. I just need something that really deep cleans my scalp. By the way, I don’t have curly hair if that matters. It was the only shampoo left from Pacifica at the store, and I love moisturizing hair care products. I thought I would give it a try. Everyone needs some moisture in their hair! 🙂 Overall, it’s an OK shampoo. At least it smells good. Nothing to call home about. I’ll be on the search for a shampoo that’s more suitable for my hair type. *can’t get over how it smells sooo good! mmmm!!*

Review: Pacifica Balancing Hemp Makeup Removing Wipes
I’ve had these facial wipes for a while. Finally getting around to reviewing them. I also had the Moisture Rehab Rose & Coconut Makeup Removing Wipes from Pacifica (not pictured, used them all and tossed them out). The Hemp wipes smell like lavender. I’m not a huge fan of lavender oil. I just don’t like the smell that much. Pacifica products tend to be heavily fragranced. I can only handle their hair care products, since I’m OK with hair products being fragranced. These facial wipes are OK (besides the fragrance). It removes makeup. I didn’t think it cleaned my skin well, since I have oily skin. I can still feel residue on my skin afterwards. This face wipe wasn’t too drying or moisturizing. It didn’t add any benefits to my skin. I haven’t noticed any. I think that’s why I haven’t finished them. It’s taking me forever to finish them too.
So the Moisture Rehab Rose & Coconut is similar to the Hemp (from what I remember), but it’s more hydrating (obviously, lol). These facial wipes weren’t too bad either. It removes makeup. Just like the Hemp, it didn’t leave my skin feeling clean. I really do think they’re just your typical face wipes. The final question is, am I going to buy them again? Probably not. The reason why is because I’m not that into facial wipes. I don’t use them as a facial cleanser. Just to remove my makeup. But, I prefer to use an oil-based cleanser to remove my makeup and follow up with a water-based facial cleanser. If I were stuck in a situation where I didn’t have a proper facial cleanser to wash my face, I’ll go for them, since they are convenient and somewhat remove gunk from my skin. As for day-to-day basic cleansing, I’ll pass.

Review:
I’m almost done with the shampoo and conditioner. It took me so long to get to this point because I didn’t really like this shampoo and conditioner. This is something I would use once in a while because I thought it was drying. It’s definitely not a ‘gentle, every day’ shampoo and conditioner for me. It was too drying, didn’t provide enough moisture, and left my hair strands tangled. I tried using it every day, but that didn’t work out. I decreased my use over time. And that is why it took me so long to (almost) finish the shampoo and the conditioner. So, this shampoo and conditioner isn’t for me. I’m not bothered by the perfume though. I don’t mind them in hair care products. I like it when my hair smells good. 🙂 For the price I paid, I was expecting a lot more. You know, something that cleanses my hair and leaves it feeling hydrated at the same time. This isn’t it.

Review:
This scalp hair serum comes in a 2 fl oz dropper bottle. A single bottle is $11. There’s fragrance, but it’s subtle (in my opinion). I honestly don’t like the smell of this product. It smells like a bunch of herbal extracts + added perfume (what it is). They should’ve left out the perfume. I rather have it free of fragrance. The product is a liquid, runny serum. Application is very easy. Just dispense a few drops into palm or scalp and gently rub it in. The instructions does state that you can shampoo after use, but I don’t see the point in that? Serums are effective when they are left in/on. So the product instantly vanishes into the scalp/hair. There’s no product buildup or anything like that. I used this for 3+ weeks, and I haven’t noticed any changes in my scalp. It felt as if I was adding droplets of water mixed with witch hazel to my scalp. Seriously, it didn’t do anything at all. With all the rave reviews surrounding this scalp hair serum, I thought I would see major changes in my scalp/hair but nada. This is simply glorified water. The packaging looks pretty and all, but I’m all about effectiveness. And this isn’t it. So I’m not going to purchase it again.

Pacifica Skin Care for Dry Skin + First Impression
So I’ve been dealing with extremely dry and itchy skin. I’ve been searching for some ‘moisturizing’ skin care products to alleviate these symptoms. I’ve seen Pacifica skin care products whenever I’m out shopping. I thought I would give them a try this time. They have good reviews and all. Plus, they are vegan and cruelty-free. Why not? I ended up picking up….
- Pacifica Rose Flower Hydro Mist
- Pacifica Cosmic Shield Hydration Lock Face Cream
I’ve had a chance to try both of them, so I can give my thoughts on them right now.

Pacifica Rose Flower Hydro Mist:
This is a hydrating spray or ‘hydro mist’ as it states on the bottle. It is indeed moisturizing, but it doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. It takes a few minutes for the product to absorb into the skin. I only spray my face once (in the morning) after I apply my makeup. It’s because my BB Cream can make my skin look dry and cracked. Yuck! It seems to be working. The only thing I don’t like about this spray is the fragrance.
Pacifica Cosmic Shield Hydration Lock Face Cream:
I was hoping to find a good face cream. This cream is more on the runny side. The texture feels more like a thicker serum than a face cream. It absorbs into the skin very well and leaves it feeling hydrated. I do have oily skin, and it did feel quite heavier on my skin than expected. I know anything that feels heavy on the skin will eventually break me out. That’s what happened. I ended up with a pimple near my hairline after using this. I stopped using it on my face. This ‘face cream’ isn’t for me. It sure works very well as an eye cream. It’s lightweight in texture, goes on delicately, and very hydrating. Same with this product (as the hydro mist), it has fragrance. Meh. I prefer my skin care products without fragrance.
Those are my thoughts on these skin care products. Check out my ongoing Tretinoin Journey! ^.^
