Review: Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses Eye Revive Contour Gel
Here’s another review on an Andalou Naturals skin care product! I did a review on another Andalou Naturals skin care product not too long ago, don’t forget to check it out!!! It’s the Andalou Naturals Luminous Eye Serum!! Now on to Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses Eye Revive Contour Gel. This eye contour gel contains alpine rose stem cells to gently hydrate the skin. Pomegranate (rich in tannins and polyphenols) to uplift tone. Hyaluronic acid and aloe vera to instantly revive the skin, reduce fine lines, puffiness, and under eye circles. It protects the delicate eye area and soothes the skin. It’s gluten-free, cruelty-free, vegan, vegetarian, and non-GMO. Here’s my experience with the eye contour gel and my results!
My experience
This eye contour gel feels like a gel-serum. It feels lightweight and soft on the skin. Blends and absorbs into the skin just fine. It feels moisturizing and soothing at the same time. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling tight. Some eye gels actually give the skin that tight feeling after application. This one didn’t. It’s hydrating. I used it in the morning and night as the instructions suggested. After 1 week of using the eye contour gel, not much to report back. The product softens and moisturizes the skin around the eyes. That’s great and all, but I didn’t see much of a difference in my dark under eye circles, and they’re pretty bad, lol. So I decided to keep using the eye contour gel much longer. After 1 month, once again, not much of a difference in my skin. The eye contour gel was giving me the same results as before. It felt gentle on the skin, softened the skin around my eyes, and left it feeling smooth and moisturized, but there’s nothing more to it. I didn’t see a reduction in dark under eye circles, puffiness, fine lines, or wrinkles (what the product claims to do).
So I finished the eye contour gel within 6 months. I can’t believe it lasted that long! That’s half a year. But the results were not that great. I didn’t have much luck with it. The results didn’t live up to my expectations. Once again, it didn’t do anything for my dark under eye circles, eye puffiness, fine lines, and wrinkles. Isn’t that what it’s advertised for? It seems like it’s just another eye moisturizing product. I mean, the ingredients look pretty good. It contains aloe barbadensis leaf juice, plant stem cells (alpine rose, malus domestica, solar vitis), bioactive berry complex, kelp extract, sodium hyaluronate, vitamin c, panthenol, allantoin, hydrolyzed rice protein, and so many more ingredients that are good for the skin! It looks like it would at least do something for my skin. But, all it did was moisturize my skin. Just like most of the other eye creams/eye care products that I have used.
Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Moisturizing
- Soothing
- Gentle on the skin
- Contains aloe, vitamin c, sodium hyaluronate, panthenol
- Cruelty-free
- Vegan
❌ Cons
- Didn’t do anything for dark under eye circles, puffiness, fine lines, wrinkles
Conclusion
Just like the Andalou Naturals Luminous Eye Serum, the Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses Eye Revive Contour Gel just moisturized my eye area and soothed it. The results were pretty disappointing. I mean, the product claimed to do so much more than just moisturize. But, it failed to do so. I saw no difference in my dark under eye circles, eye puffiness, fine lines, and wrinkles. I don’t think this was a terrible eye care product. At least it didn’t dry my eyes out but gave it the hydration that it needs when I was using it. I just wished it did a lot more than that. Oh well. It’s time to move on to more effective products. This one didn’t live up to the claims.
