Trying Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid for the millionth time. Did it work this time?
So I stopped using Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid for a while, since I wasn’t seeing results from it. I moved on to AHAs instead. Using AHAs was great at first, I loved the results, but that wore off within a few weeks. I think I need to use another type of exfoliant besides AHA (or a stronger AHA!). And that would be a BHA product — Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid. It’s the only BHA product that I have right now. SO! I decided to start using it again. What is there to lose? haha. Let’s give it another shot! Hmmm, how many times already? Tons! But I still have a lot of product left and this stuff is expensive nowadays. Not like what it used to be, which is affordable and effective. *sigh*
The AHA I was using wasn’t doing much for blackheads and clogged pores. It did at first, but it stopped. It helped a lot with rough, textured skin though, which I really like! My skin looks very soft and smooth, but when I look closely, I can see little clogged pores. With the AHA product, I was able to use it twice a day without any issues. It’s super gentle on my skin. Apparently, my skin can tolerate it pretty well. This is what I’m using if you’re curious. Since I’m acne-prone, I need something more, something that’ll get at these annoying, stubborn clogged pores. Ugh! They’re so annoying! They need to go away! 😭 Will they ever go away?? lol.
One night, I just slapped some BHA Liquid on my face. Yep, out of the blue, I just went for it. I noticed I had oily skin too. The BHA Liquid absorbed all of the oilies very well. My skin felt good. Not dry at all. There was no irritation of any kind. My skin was happy. The next morning, I woke up with skin that was smoother and less greasy. The pimples I was complaining about shrunk! Wow, the BHA Liquid did at least something good for my skin! So I continued to use the product for the next few days. I can see that my skin was getting better due to the reduction in oil. Gosh, why does my skin have to be soooo oily? Yeah, oily skin problems for sure! So it looks like I’m going to keep using the BHA Liquid. It helps with oily skin, which in turn keeps those tiny bumps at bay. Hopefully it’ll get rid of them soon.
I guess I’m back to using Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid! But I’ll be on the look out for a stronger BHA product. Which is weird! I remember Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid used be so strong on my skin that it irritated and dried my skin out. Now it’s like applying water to my face. ha.
