I have another The Ordinary skin care product! This time, the glycolic acid toning solution. Here’s my review on it!
About The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution:
- Offers mild exfoliation for improved skin radiance and visible clarity
- Improves the appearance of skin texture with continued use
- Formula contains Tasmanian Pepperberry derivative to help reduce irritation associated with acid use
- Formula contains ginseng root and aloe vera for visible radiance and soothing benefits
- Should not be used on sensitive, peeling, or compromised skin
- pH of formula is approximately 3.6
Review:
I tried using this glycolic in place of my other glycolic acids (when I was using ahas). This product comes in large bottle for a very good price. I used as a toner (with a cotton pad) and also tried patting it into my skin. The cotton pad method is my preferred method. It helps to remove excess debris and oil from the skin. I didn’t find this glycolic acid to be too strong. I’ve used ahas that are higher than 7%. So, I didn’t see a major effect on my skin using this toner. What I did notice were breakouts! Not from an initial breakout/purging. But from the product itself (the formula). There’s something in the formula that didn’t click with my skin. I stopped using this toner immediately and never looked back. As I said, good size and good price. It just didn’t work for me. I’ll use the rest on my body. I won’t purchase again.
