Tret Break Moisturizers

Here’s an update on what moisturizing skin care products I use on my face. I think the list has gotten longer!! But, oh well. I like my moisturizers. They keep my skin soft, supple, and hydrated. Gets rid of the flakes or at least help them come off easier when I need to exfoliate my skin. Here’s my list of moisturizers that I use, which includes serums and essences too. I hope this is helpful. Enjoy!

⭐ Cosrx Hyaluronic Acid Hydra Power Essence

Cosrx Hyaluronic Acid Hydra Power Essence is a staple in my routine by now. It doesn’t leave my skin super hydrated, but it’s good at prepping my skin before layering on other skin care products. When my skin is feeling more irritated than usual, I apply this essence first to calm my skin down. I use the Cosrx Hyaluronic Acid Hydra Power Essence along with… *read about the next product on the list*

⭐ Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence

Yep! The Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence. The Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence is more moisturizing than the Hyaluronic Acid Hydra Power Essence. The last time I talked about this essence, I said that I’m not able to use it every day. That has changed since. I can use the Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence every day now. I’ve been using it every day to add a little bit more moisture to my skin. I actually prefer the Snail over the Hyaluronic Acid. It’s more moisturizing on the skin and helps with skin texture. It’s the perfect moisturizing essence. It leaves the skin feeling hydrated but feels lightweight on the skin at the same time. Funny how things changed so sudden. 😊

⭐ Benton Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel

I’ve been using Benton Aloe Propolis Gel for a while now. From my experience, it’s a lightweight moisturizer that sinks into the skin really quick. Great for oily skin and skin that’s prone to breakouts. It hasn’t clogged my pores. It’s not the most moisturizing moisturizer out there. I don’t rely on it to keep my skin moisturized. That’s why I have other moisturizers in my routine. The only downside to this product (besides it not moisturizing the skin enough) is that it stings the skin sometimes, especially when the moisture barrier is damaged. It’s called a soothing gel, but I don’t recommend using it to soothe the skin when it’s irritated.

⭐ Purito Centella Green Level Buffet Serum

I remember when I started using Purito Centella Green Level Buffet Serum, my moisture barrier was damaged. This serum contains centella asiatica extract and ceramide to reduce irritation in the skin and to keep the skin moisturized. It helps to protect the skin’s natural barrier. My face was so red and irritated that I needed something to calm my skin down. This serum did what it’s supposed to do. It worked to heal my skin. It’s one of my favorite serums that’s lightweight and provides other beneficial skin care ingredients (in addition to what I mentioned earlier) for the skin, such as niacinamide, panthenol, and sodium hyaluronate. It’s not the most moisturizing serum, but it worked very well on my oily skin. I didn’t get any breakouts from it.

⭐ Cosrx Oil-Free Ultra-Moisturizing Lotion (with Birch Sap)

Cosrx Oil-Free Ultra-Moisturizing Lotion (with Birch Sap) is one of my favorite moisturizers. It’s lightweight, moisturizing, and hasn’t clogged my pores. Yup, no breakouts from it! My skin just loves this lotion! The lotion is easy to apply to the skin and sinks into the skin quick. It doesn’t leave any sticky residue behind. This lotion worked very well on my oily, acne-prone skin! Love the smell of the product too! It smells like candy and it has tea tree oil in it. It’s been amazing so far!

⭐ iUNIK Propolis Vitamin Synergy Serum

I didn’t think I would have iUNIK Propolis Vitamin Synergy Serum in my routine again, but I’m falling in love with it all over again. It hasn’t brighten my skin, but it leaves my skin feeling hydrated. I just love the way it feels on my skin. I only need one single drop of the product to get that moisturizing effect on my skin! Also… *read about the next product on the list*

⭐ iUNIK Black Snail Restore Serum

I’m using iUNIK Black Snail Restore Serum. I didn’t know I had a new bottle of this serum sitting around. I was going to discontinue using it, but I guess I’ll keep using it since I have it. As I keep using it, I’m falling in love with it too. So I use a mixture of the Propolis Vitamin Synergy Serum and Black Snail Restore Serum to create a super duper moisturizing serum. I know, cheesy, but it works like charm for extra hydration! I love it!

⭐ Hada Labo Gokujyun Premium Lotion

Here’s another moisturizing product that I REALLY LOVE! It’s Hada Labo Gokujyun Lotion. I’m glad I brought this product back! The difference it has made in my skin under less than a week has been astonishing! The lotion feels sticky when dispensed from the bottle, but it goes on the skin so nicely. It feels lightweight on the skin, leaves my skin feeling really moisturized (love using it!), and I haven’t noticed any breakouts from it. That’s just awesome! This lotion is quickly becoming one of my favorites. I think it’s more moisturizing than Cosrx Oil-Free Ultra-Moisturizing Lotion (with Birch Sap)!

⭐ Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream

Here’s a new moisturizer that’s in my skin care routine. It’s Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream. Alright, it’s the most moisturizing moisturizer/face cream in my routine. It’s rich, creamy, and buttery. It’s very different compared to what I’m used to using — lightweight, gel, something that’s better for oily skin, a moisturizer that absorbs quickly into the skin. This moisturizer or face cream did feel a bit heavy on my face when I first used it. That worried me because I was afraid of breaking out from it. It’s just so creamy and super moisturizing. My skin hasn’t experienced this type of moisture in so long. But, fortunately, it’s been good. I can’t say great because I’m still testing it out. So far, I haven’t experienced breakouts and it has helped alleviate dry patches on my face and made my skin look soooo good! I really hope it works out in the end. A new update coming up soon!

That’s all for now, haha. I’ll be sure to update my list of favorite moisturizers! ✨

Trying iUNIK Black Snail Restore Serum again. My Experience…

iUNIK Black Snail Restore Serum

Since I’ve had success with iUNIK Propolis Vitamin Synergy Serum, I thought I would give iUNIK Black Snail Restore Serum another chance. I haven’t had any new breakouts from the Propolis Vitamin Synergy Serum. It moisturizes my skin, but I needed something that’s a little bit more moisturizing. I noticed that I still had the Black Snail Restore Serum. I did a review on this serum before. Check out my previous review if you missed out! Here are my new thoughts on this serum now. I’ve used it for about 1 week…

So I only have a third of this serum left. I didn’t want to waste it and gave it a shot. The serum is a little bit sticky. It absorbs into the skin well and leaves the skin feeling a lot more moisturized compared to the Propolis Vitamin Synergy Serum and Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence. I use the Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence twice a day, but it didn’t leave my skin feeling super moisturized. I still had some dry, flaky skin going on. That’s when I started using iUNIK Black Snail Restore Serum. My skin drastically changed. This serum is much, much more moisturizing, nourishing, and leaves my skin soft, hydrated, and helps to diminish dry, flaky skin over time. My skin looked better! I’m able to use it twice a day without any issues. No redness or irritation. My skin didn’t breakout from using it either, which is weird because I developed breakouts from this serum before. I think I got lucky this time. My skin has changed so much since. Breakouts are subsiding and skin is clearing up! πŸ™‚

After this experience, I’m falling in love with the iUNIK Black Snail Restore Serum and the Cosrx Propolis Vitamin Synergy Serum. Both of these serums didn’t brighten up my skin as I had hoped for, but they’re good at moisturizing the skin. I noticed improvements using both of them in terms of hydration. Since they’re good at moisturizing the skin, that might even help with fine lines and wrinkles with continued use. My skin does appear a little smoother due to the hydration. And the ingredients in both of these products aren’t too bad. All is good so far. Will they end up being a staple in my skin care routine? I really don’t know yet. I’ll make a decision when I finish them. πŸ˜‹

Review: iUNIK Black Snail Restore Serum

iUNIK Black Snail Restore Serum

Here’s another iUNIK skin care product! It’s iUNIK Black Snail Restore Serum. In the beginning, when I was using iUNIK Propolis Vitamin Synergy Serum, I was very impressed with that serum that I went out and purchased the Black Snail Restore Serum. Don’t forget to check out my full review on the Propolis Vitamin Synergy Serum! Also, my review on iUNIK Propolis Vitamin Eye Cream! So the purpose of this serum is to nourish, brighten, fight wrinkles, restore moisture, and lift. Lift? I’m guessing some sort of face lift. But, that seems too drastic for a facial serum. Anyways, haha, I’ve had this serum for half a year. Here are my thoughts on it!

This serum is clear. It feels sticky upon touch. It is a snail mucin product after all. In other words, it’s snail slime. Snail products are always sticky. Some are stickier than others. In my opinion, iUNIK Black Snail Restore Serum is a lot stickier compared to Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence. When the serum is first applied to the skin, it has a sticky texture to it, but that sticky feeling disappears within a few minutes. Just pat the serum into the skin. It sinks into the skin nicely and feels lightweight on the skin. It’s not heavy at all. Didn’t leave a weird film or residue behind after application. Doesn’t pill. It works well with other skin care products in my routine and also underneath sunscreen. No issues here. What stands out the most about this serum is that it is very moisturizing. It leaves the skin feeling super hydrated. It left my skin feeling soft and supple, especially the skin around the eyes. Smooths out those dry areas very well. It helped to diminish some fine lines and wrinkles too due to the hydration that it provides. This serum is all about restoring moisture (as the product states). And it does just that.

So I really liked the way it left my skin feeling, looking softer and smoother from the hydration, but it didn’t do much for skin brightening. I haven’t noticed a brightening effect from using it. It feels like it’s just a very hydrating serum that helps with a few fine lines and wrinkles. Nothing drastic with the wrinkles. I wasn’t too enthusiastic about the results. After months of using this serum, unfortunately, it didn’t work out in the end. It clogged my pores. Much worse than the Propolis Vitamin Synergy Serum. Let’s check out the ingredients…

Looking at the ingredients, it does contain beneficial ingredients, such as centella asiatica leaf water, niacinamide, sodium hyaluronate, rice extract, licorice, and so much more! But it also contain ingredients that aren’t compatible with my skin, such as ferment extracts (my skin can’t stand them! breakouts galore!) and methylpropanediol (more breakouts!). Perhaps, 1,2-hexanediol too. My skin seems to have issues with those ingredients. Plus, it’s a snail product. I haven’t had success with any snail product yet. I had to stop using Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence. πŸ‘ˆπŸ» Go here for more details!! So, I might have to stay away from skin care products with these ingredients and snail products. They seem to break me out so far (from the products I’ve used). Last but not least, did it lift my skin? Uh, no, as I expected, lol. I’ve used so many skin care products that I haven’t noticed any lifting from any one of them. I mean, skin care products can do so much. But, I wish it would happen one day. Maybe somewhere in the near future when skin care gets more advanced than it is now. HAHA. But this is just a serum that provides a lot of moisture. Since I developed breakouts from it, I stopped using it.

This is what the serum looks like…

iUNIK Black Snail Restore Serum

βœ… Pros

❌ Cons

iUNIK Black Snail Restore Serum didn’t do much for my skin besides moisturizing. That’s what I noticed most about it. It did help smooth out some fine lines and wrinkles, but it wasn’t anything major. Any skin care product that moisturizes the skin would do the same. Overall, I didn’t see anything special about it. I was hoping it would brighten my skin, but that didn’t happen. Also, in the end, it clogged my pores. Seems like this serum is way too moisturizing for my skin type. Plus it contains ingredients that my skin doesn’t seem to like. Here goes another iUNIK serum that didn’t work on my skin! Moving on…
