Garnier Fructis Damage Repairing Hair Mask

Here’s my review on Garnier Fructis Damage Repairing Hair Mask! I’ve been meaning to get to this mask. I just finished it. Here are my thoughts on it!

The purpose of this hair mask is to nourish and repair damaged hair. Make it softer and smoother without weighing it down. This hair mask contains 98% naturally derived ingredients. It contains papaya extract. No silicones, parabens, and artificial colorants.

How to use? There are 3 ways to use this hair mask. That is as a hair mask, hair conditioner, and as a leave-in treatment. As a hair mask, use the hair mask after shampooing. Apply the product onto wet hair and leave it on for 1 minute. Rinse afterwards. As a conditioner, after shampooing, apply the product from the root to tip. As a leave-in treatment, apply the product onto damp hair for frizz control and color protection.

I tried all 3 methods. Here’s my experience with this product.

The texture and consistency of the product isn’t too rich or thick. I’ve used other hair masks/conditioners that are thicker, richer, and heavier on the hair. This one was pretty decent in consistency. It also has a nice smell to it. It’s fruity and pleasant. So I tried all three methods as mentioned. Out of the three, I prefer using it as a leave-in treatment. It takes only 1 minute to use. That’s what I did at first. Since I love experimenting to see what works for me. I tried leaving the product in my hair for longer than a minute. I tried leaving it on for 5-10 minutes. I preferred leaving the product in my hair much longer, since I have dry ends. After rinsing the product out of my hair, my hair didn’t feel greasy or heavy. It didn’t weigh my hair down (yess!!!). I really don’t like it when products make my hair flat. But, I wasn’t a fan of the overall results of this product. I love the smell and all, but it didn’t deliver results. At least for my hair type. It didn’t help moisturize my hair. It only felt moisturizing when I was applying the product to my hair. Afterwards, not so much. I wanted a hair product that would moisturize and make my hair feel softer and smoother. This didn’t do much of that. Also, after drying my hair, it felt like the product sat on my hair and left a layer of product over my hair strands. It felt like it coated my hair with plastic. My hair felt like straw after a few hours. By the end of the day, it looked and felt really gross. It didn’t matter how I used the product, my results were pretty much the same. My hair just didn’t feel or look good. Maybe the formula of the product isn’t for my hair type. I don’t know. All I know is that it didn’t work for me. I’m just really happy that I finished it. I won’t be purchasing it again.

Review: Garnier Fructis Damage Repairing Treat Conditioner + Papaya Extract

Garnier Fructis Damage Repairing Treat Conditioner + Papaya Extract

I finally finished Garnier Fructis Damage Repairing Treat Conditioner + Papaya Extract! It took about 2 months to finish the whole bottle. I mean, it’s only a 11.8 fl. oz. bottle. Pretty small. So the purpose of this conditioner is to nourish, detangle, and fight against dryness and damaged hair. It’s silicone-free, paraben-free, free of artificial colorants, vegan, and suitable for color treated hair. It contains 98% naturally derived ingredients. This conditioner also contains papaya extract. Papaya extract is very beneficial for the hair. It provides intense moisture, promotes hair growth, and prevents dandruff. I’ve always really liked papaya extract in beauty products. It’s not only good for the hair but also for the skin as well. It’s an antioxidant that’s high in vitamin c. It works great as an exfoliant. Leaves the skin looking brighter and feeling smoother. But I digress. Back to Garnier Fructis Damage Repairing Treat Conditioner + Papaya Extract! Here are my thoughts on it!

I was very excited to try this hair conditioner, since it contains papaya extract. The conditioner smells really good. It’s very fruity. And I do prefer my hair products (most of the time) to contain some fragrance. I love it when my hair is left smelling good after a wash. My scalp can get really oily by the end of the day, and I don’t want to smell that stuff. lol. So the reason why I purchased this conditioner in the first place is to moisturize my dry hair strands. If there’s any damage, fix it up and smooth them out. After 2 months of using this conditioner, I’m not that impressed. I was expecting a lot more. It didn’t do that great of a job at moisturizing my hair. My hair still felt a bit dry afterwards. The next morning, after a night of conditioning of my hair with this product, my hair felt more dry. It’s like the product didn’t do anything for my hair at all. Only at the moment. And it wasn’t that moisturizing either. The effects weren’t long lasting. I wasn’t expecting it to last a couple of days or a week, but at least until the next morning. I think that’s more than reasonable. My hair shouldn’t feel dry either, since it’s supposed to be a moisturizing conditioner. That’s what it claims to be. That’s the purpose of this product. This conditioner was made for dry, damaged hair as it states. It should leave my hair moisturized after each use. Along with not being a good moisturizing hair conditioner, it left my hair flat and feeling like straw. Feels like it coated my hair. My hair just didn’t feel or look good with this product. Honestly, I didn’t look forward to using this conditioner at all. Just using it to use it up because I didn’t know what to do with it anymore. My experience with this conditioner was a very disappointing one. I’m glad I’m done with it.

✅ Pros

❌ Cons

I didn’t have a good experience with this conditioner. It claimed to help replenish moisture for dry, damaged hair, but it didn’t do any of that. It left my hair feeling drier. The results were very poor. It left my hair flat, dull and feeling like straw after each use. A good hair conditioner would improve the quality of the hair over time. This conditioner didn’t do anything. The only positive thing about this conditioner was the smell of the product. It smells really good. Also, it contains papaya extract. Papaya extract is supposed to be very beneficial for the hair, but I didn’t get that from this conditioner. The overall formula was just poor and didn’t do it for me. I won’t purchase again. I can’t recommend it either. Skip it and save your money.

Review: Garnier Clearly Brighter Dark Spot Corrector

Garnier Clearly Brighter Dark Spot Corrector

I picked up Garnier Clearly Brighter Dark Spot Corrector to help with acne scars. It’s a vitamin c product. This is something I’ve used before in the past. I also purchased it for the memories. The packaging is different this time. It’s in a plastic tube now. The formula? I don’t remember what the ingredients were before, but it smells the same as before. The fragrance is quite distinctive. I actually like the smell of this product. So I’ve used Garnier Clearly Brighter Dark Spot Corrector for 4 months now. I’ve actually finished the whole tube, so I think it’s time for a review. Here are my thoughts and results after 4 months of using it. Read on… 🙂

The product is a gel-cream. It’s soft and creamy to touch. The instructions says to smooth a dime size amount evenly until absorbed ensuring all dark spots and uneven tone are fully covered. I used a little less than a dime size and pat it into my skin all over my face and neck. That’s more than enough product to cover all necessary areas. It absorbs into the skin very well. It was an easy, smooth application. It left my skin feeling soft and moisturized after each use. My skin didn’t become irritated or red while using it. It soothed my skin. No stinging sensation whatsoever. Vitamin c products with ascorbic acid tend to tingle the skin just a little bit (on my skin anyways). I didn’t experience that with this product. And I used it twice day too with no irritation.

After 2 weeks of using this product on my face…

I couldn’t tell if it helped with dark spots or acne scars, but it softened the texture of my skin. My skin does appear brighter and more radiant. I don’t think it had to do with this product alone. I was using other brightening skin care products to fade acne scars as well. But this product helped to boost the brightness in my skin. I think the texture of the product feels very nice on the skin, and it leaves my skin feeling good. It moisturizes my skin without clogging my pores. I haven’t noticed any breakouts from it when I was using it. A couple of problems I do have with this product is that it doesn’t come sealed, and the product I received was half empty. What is up with that? Did I receive a used product? Defective product? What’s going on?? By the way, I purchased mine off of Amazon. Hmm, so I don’t recommend purchasing it on there if you’re interested. The old version of the product was completely sealed, so I know I’m receiving an unopened, unused product. With this one, anything is possible. I’m having bad feelings about this product just because of this.

Back to my results using the product. Yes, I continued to use it even though the packaging changed. I didn’t want to toss it out and waste it. Might as well just use it since I have it. lol.

So I started using Garnier Clearly Brighter Dark Spot Corrector on my facial skin for 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, I stopped using it on my face. I began to use it as an eye and neck cream. I didn’t think I needed this product anymore. I just kinda stopped using it. It was a sudden decision due to what I was using in my skin care routine during that time. I continued to use it to just use it up, since it did a great job at moisturizing my skin. After 4 months of using Garnier Clearly Brighter Dark Spot Corrector, I didn’t see much of a change using it on my dark under eye circles, but it helped to keep that area moisturized. I didn’t think the product itself was too bad. This makes my want me to purchase another tube just so I can use it as a moisturizer. ha! Who knows, it might help improve, brighten my skin in the long run. I have hope! Maybe buy it somewhere else besides Amazon. But the product packaging does turn me off from buying it again. Looks like I’m in a dilemma. I’ll figure it out soon…

Here’s what the product looks like. Just your typical gel-cream moisturizer. It’s lightweight and leaves the skin feeling moisturized. No, I don’t use this much product. Less than a dime-size is more than enough for the whole face. Works for me!

Garnier Clearly Brighter Dark Spot Corrector

✅ Pros

❌ Cons

I didn’t expect myself to like this product. It actually makes a really good moisturizer. I might even purchase another one just to get some moisture into my skin. I have a hard time finding a good moisturizer that doesn’t cause breakouts. And I don’t remember this product breaking me out, but I’ll have to see how it goes, lol. I really hope it doesn’t cause acne problems. But the results were pretty decent while it lasted. It didn’t irritate the skin around my eyes or my neck at all. This is one of the least irritating vitamin c products I have used. I really liked this product, but I’m still bothered by the packaging, and that I received a half empty product (from Amazon). So Amazon is a no-go when it comes to purchasing this product. It’ll be cool if they reverted back to the old packaging. I’ll only repurchase if they change it. For now, I’m going to have to pass. I guess I’m not going to buy it again. I’ll look for something else that fits my needs.

Garnier Fructis Hair Mask Avocado

Garnier Fructis Hair Mask Avocado

I’ve been using Garnier Fructis Hair Mask Avocado for 1 month! Check out my intro on Garnier Fructis Hair Mask Avocado! Let’s review what this hair mask is all about before we continue!

Garnier Fructis Hair Mask Avocado:

3 Ways to Use:

  2. A Conditioner: After shampoo, apply and rinse.
  3. A Leave-In: On damp hair, apply for frizz control and lasting smoothness.

I used the Garnier Fructis Hair Mask Avocado as a 1 minute hair mask and a conditioner only. A leave-in would make my hair look flat and lifeless. I have dry hair (especially at the ends), but too much moisture makes my hair look greasy and unclean. So, it’s been 1 month of using Garnier Fructis Hair Mask Avocado. I can’t believe it’s been that long! Time sure flies by quick when you’re not counting the days! I must do a review now before I use it all up! I’m close to an empty jar! Here it goes!

Garnier Fructis Hair Mask Avocado has a gel/cream-like consistency (photos above). I thought it would be more cream-like upon opening the jar and sometimes I wish it was. The gel/cream texture is kind of weird. It breaks up into blobs (if that makes any sense, lol). It’s also very slippery, so it has fallen out of my hands a couple of times when I’m using it. The fragrance is wonderful and sweet. It leaves my hair smelling clean and feeling good. Also, it leaves my dry hair feeling and looking softer. It works as a hair mask and a conditioner. It does what it’s supposed to do, and that’s moisturizing dry hair! It works! This hair mask is vegan. No animal by-products. Sadly, Garnier is owned by L’Oreal, so they do test on animals. ?

Dry Hair Problem: Garnier Fructis Hair Mask Avocado

1 Minute Avocado Hair Mask. Garnier.

1 Minute Avocado Hair Mask

I have extremely dry hair from using Trader Joe’s Tea Tree Tingle Shampoo & Conditioner for 2 weeks straight. Now, I have to reverse the damage. Here we have, Garnier Fructis Smoothing Treat 1 Minute Hair Mask + Avocado Extract.

About Garnier Fructis Hair Mask Avocado:

Ingredients:

1199858 H INGREDIENTS, AQUA / WATER / EAU, CETEARYL ALCOHOL, GLYCERIN, ISOPROPYL MYRISTATE, STEARAMIDOPROPYL DIMETHYLAMINE, BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII BUTTER / SHEA BUTTER, OLEA EUROPAEA OIL / OLIVE FRUIT OIL, GLYCINE SOJA OIL / SOYBEAN OIL, SODIUM HYDROXIDE, HELIANTHUS ANNUUS SEED OIL / SUNFLOWER SEED OIL, ROSMARINUS OFFICINALIS LEAF EXTRACT / ROSEMARY LEAF EXTRACT, COCO-CAPRYLATE/CAPRATE, COCOS NUCIFERA OIL / COCONUT OIL, HYDROXYPROPYL GUAR HYDROXYPROPYLTRIMONIUM CHLORIDE, CAPRYLYL GLYCOL, CITRIC ACID, PERSEA GRATISSIMA OIL / AVOCADO OIL, TARTARIC ACID, CETYL ESTERS, TOCOPHEROL, SALICYLIC ACID, CARAMEL, LINALOOL, EUGENOL, LIMONENE CITRONELLOL, BENZYL ALCOHOL, BENZYL SALICYLATE, PARFUM / FRAGRANCE, F.I.L. On the packaging, it says that there are 3 ways to use the product.

  1. 1 Minute Hair Mask: After shampoo, apply and leave on for 1 minute. Rinse.
  2. A Conditioner: After shampoo, apply and rinse.
  3. A Leave-In: On damp hair, apply for frizz control and lasting smoothness.

My Thoughts:

Tonight, I used Garnier Frutis Hair Mask Avocado hoping it’ll get my hair back to its original state. I used the first method: 1 Minute Hair Mask. I applied after shampoo and timed it for 1 minute. It’s pretty cool that this mask doesn’t take that long. 1 minute is easily doable, especially for people that don’t have the time to wait. Most hair masks require you to leave the product on for about 10 minutes and possibly up to 30 minutes. Some, even longer. My hair felt a little better after I used it. But, you know, I’m not going to jump to conclusions yet. I’ll continue to use the hair mask and report back soon.
