Here are my December skin care empties! ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿป

Cosrx Ultimate Nourishing Rice Overnight Spa Mask:

I thought I finished my last bottle of Cosrx Ultimate Rice Overnight Spa Mask, but I still have one more left. *sigh* I’ve been using this moisturizer on my body (not my face). My face can’t tolerate this product. I tried it so many times, and it failed each and every time. It’s just not compatible with my skin type no matter how much I want it to be. I love the niacinamide for the brightening effect, but it clogs my pores. This product contains sunflower seed oil, palm oil, and palm kernal oil. My skin hates oils in general. If they made an oil-free one, maybe I’ll give it a try. This moisturizer just didn’t work on my skin as I had hoped.

Coppertone Defend & Care Clear Zinc 50:

I have 2 bottles of Coppertone Defend & Care Clear Zinc 50. I finally finished my first bottle after a year. Don’t worry, it hasn’t expired. I’m using it indoors anyways on my hands (to finish it). For the face, this sunscreen is way too thick, way too white (ghost-like, leaves the skin powdery white), and it’s too heavy on the face for daily use. I tried it on my face before. It clogged my pores. It contains beeswax, which my skin doesn’t like. On the body, it works just fine. But, it does have a sunscreen smell to it that I don’t like. So, either way, I won’t purchase again after I finish my last bottle.

Cosrx Advanced Snail Peptide Eye Cream:

I finally finished my fourth bottle (last one!!) of Cosrx Advanced Snail Peptide Eye Cream! Andddd I won’t purchase it again. It’s a nice moisturizing eye cream, but it didn’t do much for my the skin around my eyes. I can’t tell if it helped to boost radiance, reduce under eye circles, or reduce puffy under eyes. I definitely can say that it didn’t help with fine lines and wrinkles. It just provided good moisture. From my experience and results, that’s all I’ve seen from this product after going through four bottles. It’s time to move on to something else if there is something else out there that works for under eye circles, eye puffiness, fine lines, and wrinkles.

Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin:

I finished a bottle of Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin this month. It’s a good moisturizer that moisturizes, hydrates, heals, protects, and soothes the skin. But, it didn’t work for me in the end (face). I was using it because I have no other moisturizer, and my skin was feeling flaky and dry. But then I realize how terrible this moisturizer is for my skin. I love that it moisturizes. It really does. I’ve never experienced moisturized skin like this before. It’s just that, this moisturizer clogs my pores. I think it’s the squalane. I can’t even use pure squalane oil without it clogging my pores. Since I have a few left, I’m currently using it as an eye cream and on my neck to use it up.

Purito Centella Green Level Eye Cream:

One tube of Purito Centella Green Level Eye Cream down! One left to go! I’ve gone through plenty of this eye cream to say that it’s a pretty below average eye cream. Even though it contains ingredients like centella asiatica extract (49%), shea butter, peptides, sodium hyaluronate, madecassic acid, panthenol, hydrolyzed collagen, cholesterol, macadamia seed oil, and so much more, it didn’t do anything for my eye area/under eyes. It wasn’t moisturizing enough either. It did absolutely nothing to improve my eyes. In my opinion, this product is overhyped. A good moisturizer does the same thing and comes in a bigger bottle than this 30 mL (1 fl. oz.) eye cream. It’s best to save your money.

Benton Fermentation Eye Cream:

Here’s another eye cream I finished this month! It’s the Benton Fermentation Eye Cream. You know, I’m starting to like this eye cream. It’s thick, creamy, and very moisturizing. Maybe it’s because it’s been colder and I’m losing a lot of moisture from the skin around my eyes. My under eyes are getting really dry, but this eye cream has helped replenish the moisture loss along with my other moisturizing skin care products. This eye cream is very rich. Since the texture and consistency of the product is rich and heavy, it’s a bit difficult to spread. I love how moisturizing it is, but I would like it if it was easier to blend into the skin. I’ll keep using it for the rest of winter and see if I’ll repurchase or not. I currently have 2 tubes left. I think that’s more than enough until next year. One tube lasts for months anyways.

Purito Centella Green Level Buffet Serum:

Unfortunately for me, I purchased a bunch of the Purito Centella Green Level Buffer Serum, lol. I stopped using this serum months ago. I’m glad I did. I haven’t noticed a difference after dropping it from my routine since. My skin doesn’t miss it at all. It has centella asiatica extract (49%), niacinamide, sodium hyaluronate, asiatic acid, madecassic acid, peptides, panthenol, and lots of other beneficial skin care ingredients, but it didn’t do anything for my skin. It provides temporary moisture and soothing effects, but that’s it. I didn’t notice a huge difference in my skin using it. It didn’t make my skin brighter, healthier, or even supple as it claims to do. I guess this serum could work if you’re searching for a basic serum and have sensitive skin. For me, it’s not for me. Seems like a waste of money for something that doesn’t improve my skin over time. It doesn’t really moisturize my skin either.

The Ordinary Matrixyl 10% + HA:

One more The Ordinary Matrixyl 10% + HA down! I did an update on this product not so long ago. I tried using it as an eye serum instead of a facial serum. It didn’t work out. The serum didn’t help with fine lines or wrinkles. It dried my under eyes out and pilled under my other skin care products. It didn’t work underneath sunscreen either. I never saw results with this serum. I just stopped using it anywhere near my face.

The Ordinary Retinol 1% in Squalane:

I haven’t been using The Ordinary Retinol 1% in Squalane on my face. I’ve been using it on my body. This retinol serum clogs my pores (on my face). The other ingredients in this product are not compatible with my skin. It’s just way too oily. I have a few more bottles left of this serum. I’m glad I knocked one out by the end of the year. It’s a very moisturizing retinol serum. It’s gentle on the skin. I can’t tell if it’s doing anything for the skin on my body. I just can’t tell. I don’t have any skin issues on my body besides some dryness once in a blue moon (during the winter). This is another product I’m trying to finish up from The Ordinary, lol.

The Ordinary Ascorbic Acid 8% Alpha Arbutin 2%:

One more The Ordinary serum I finished up this month! I’m officially on my last bottle of The Ordinary Ascorbic Acid 8% Alpha Arbutin 2%. I’m ready to just be done with it. So this serum is still oily and greasy. I love the ingredients in it still. If it doesn’t work on my facial skin, I can’t do anything about it. It clogs my pores and irritates it to no end. I’ve tried it so many times with the same terrible results. It also turns my face orange. I walked around with a bright orange glow to my skin all year round because of this product. ๐Ÿ˜†

The Ordinary 100% L-Ascorbic Acid Powder:

It took me nearly a year to finish a jar of this vitamin c powder. It’s finally done, and I’m not purchasing another one. In my opinion, it’s not worth it. Ascorbic acid powder can be easily purchased at a much more affordable, lower price than what The Ordinary is selling it for. I love the tiny jar that it comes in, and I’m still using it for my antioxidant powders. But, I’m pretty much done with this particular product. Results were mediocre. I didn’t notice that much of a difference in my skin. I’m still trying to fade acne marks. It’s time to try another vitamin c product out!

The Ordinary Pycnogenol 5%:

I finished The Ordinary Pycnogenol 5%! It’s the last bottle too! Yay! No more! The Ordinary Pycnogenol 5% did nothing for my skin but left my skin feeling oily like a whole bunch of other The Ordinary products I’ve used. It’s so oily and greasy. It didn’t do anything for my skin either. It’s supposed to enhance hydration (nope!) and improve elasticity (nope!). Scavenge free radicals and recycle oxidized vitamin c (who knows if it did any of that). I just can’t tell. Is it doing anything?!! I’m over it. I’m glad I’m done with it. I won’t purchase it again. It took me soooo long to finish the last bottle.

It’s been quite a year. December seems to have the most empties. I’m just cleaning out for the new year! ๐Ÿฅณ๐ŸŽ‰ Merry Christmas everyone!!

Update on Benton Fermentation Eye Cream & Purito Centella Green Level Eye Cream & Cosrx Advanced Snail Peptide Eye Cream

Comment
Benton Fermentation Eye Cream

I decided to remove some more products from my life. ๐Ÿ™ƒ I mean, skin care routine. This time, they’re not face skin care products. They’re eye creams. They are Benton Fermentation Eye Cream, Purito Centella Green Level Eye Cream, and Cosrx Advanced Snail Peptide Eye Cream. I’ve talked about these eye creams before. It’s been a while since I’ve mentioned them. Here they are again and my updated thoughts on each one. Let’s begin with the Benton Fermentation Eye Cream!

Benton Fermentation Eye Cream:

One of the eye creams that I was madly in love with was the Benton Fermentation Eye Cream. I loved the texture and consistency of the eye cream. It’s thick and creamy. It moisturized my eye area (doesn’t dry it out). This was one of the eye creams that I couldn’t let go. The ingredients were nice too. It had Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate, Bifida Ferment Lysate, Macadamia Seed Oil, Ceramide Np, Sodium Hyaluronate, Aloe Leaf Extract, Adenosin, Panthenol, and so much more. Seemed beneficial for the skin so I kept on using it. So what’s the purpose of this eye cream?? It’s supposed to help with wrinkles, intensive firming, and moisturize the skin around the eyes for a brighter and more youthful look. After going through several tubes of this eye cream, the only thing this eye cream did for me was moisturize my eye area. I haven’t noticed any results with wrinkles, intensive firming, brighter eyes, or a more youthful look. So it just leaves the eye area moisturized. The ingredients and texture of the product seems really good, but I just didn’t see any changes other than moisturizing. Also, even though I love the thickness and creaminess of the eye cream, it was a little difficult to spread the eye cream under the eye area. It doesn’t smooth out easily, which made application more difficult than it should be. That means more pulling and tugging at the under eyes. That’s a huge no for me. I stopped using this eye cream for those reasons. All it did was moisturize and it was too difficult to blend into the skin. Where were the results? lol. I’m over this eye cream. Moving on…

Purito Centella Green Level Eye Cream

Purito Centella Green Level Eye Cream:

Purito Centella Green Level Eye Cream was one of those products that I kept using just because. It’s also affordable, so it was pretty easy to get hooked on it, lol. So the product claims to be an anti-aging eye cream that reduces the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. In turn, makes the eyes look younger. The ingredient list is very long, so here’s a quick snapshot of what’s in it: Centella Asiatica Extract, Glycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Shea Butter, Peptides, Madecassic Acid, Macadamia Seed Oil, Green Tea Extract. There’s more to it, but it’s just way too long. The ingredients look good. I’ve also gone through several tubes of this eye cream as well. My experience using this eye cream was OK. It didn’t irritate my eyes. It was soothing. But it didn’t help with the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles as advertised. It also didn’t help make my eyes look more youthful either. What it did was moisturize my eyes (when first applied to the skin). The moisture from this eye cream didn’t last. It sunk into the skin and disappeared. I did like the fact that this eye cream absorbs very quickly. It just vanishes into the skin without any issues. Since the moisture is temporary, it did absolutely nothing. It’s a useless eye cream that I’m purging from my skin care routine. See ya! ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿป

Cosrx Advanced Snail Peptide Eye Cream

Cosrx Advanced Snail Peptide Eye Cream:

I purchased this eye cream on a whim. I didn’t think much about it. I was using the Snail Essence around that time too and thought this eye cream would do something for my eyes. Here are my thoughts on Cosrx Advanced Snail Peptide Eye Cream! The purpose of this eye cream is to firm the skin, boost radiance, reduce dark under eye circles, treat dull and dehydrated skin, fine lines, and puffy under eyes. The eye cream contains Snail Secretion Filtrate, Sunflower Seed Oil, Niacinamide, Palmitic Acid, Arginine, Betaine, Allantoin, Panthenol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Adenosine, Peptides, and so many more ingredients! My experience with this eye cream has been OK. Well, only when it comes to moisture. The eye cream is sticky and actually does moisturize the eye area. Must be the snail filtrate secretion! ๐ŸŒ But that’s all I noticed about this eye cream. It didn’t help firm my skin, boost radiance, or even reduce dark under eye circles. If it helped with my dark under eye circles, I would’ve noticed by now. I’m on my 3rd bottle. Will be moving on to my 4th (last) bottle soon! It didn’t help with fine lines and wrinkles either. No to the puffy eyes and dull skin. All it did was just moisturize my skin. That’s it. This eye cream is on the pricier side, so I won’t repurchase just for an eye cream that moisturizes. I need an eye cream that actually delivers. This didn’t deliver entirely. My face moisturizer does the same thing as this eye cream (moisturize) and is more affordable.

Which eye cream is more moisturizing? In my opinion…

  1. Cosrx Advanced Snail Peptide Eye Cream
  2. Benton Fermentation Eye Cream
  3. Purito Centella Green Level Eye Cream

What Eye Creams Have I Been Using? ๐Ÿ‘€

Comment
iUNIK Propolis Vitamin Eye Cream

Today’s topic is going to be on eye creams! I haven’t talked about eye creams in a while. It’s been a good minute. So today, I’m spilling the beannns. What eye creams do I use? Well, I have more than a couple of eye creams I’ve been using religiously in the morning and at night. I don’t know why I use this many. I have a skin care addiction that I’m trying to tame. ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ But since I already have these eye creams, I’m here to share them! Let’s begin with what’s in the photo (iUNIK Propolis Vitamin Eye Cream!!).

iUNIK Propolis Vitamin Eye Cream:

This eye cream is rich and creamy. It’s meant for the eyes and face, but I only use it on my eyes. The main ingredients are propolis extract (40.5%) and hippophae rhamnoides fruit extract (0.2%). It contains a bunch of other beneficial ingredients too, such as niacinamide, betaine, sodium hyaluronate, licorice root extract, beta-glucan, and so much more. The ingredient list of this product is pretty extensive. This eye cream works very well as a moisturizing eye cream. It’s one of the many eye creams that I use that actually leaves the skin around my eyes moisturized. It also helps to moisturize my eyelashes too. I like this product. It’s affordable for an eye cream that comes in a 30 mL squeeze tube. Most eye creams I’ve encountered have been in tiny tubes (0.5 fl. oz.) and costs so much more. I think this eye cream is a good eye cream. I’ve gone through a few tubes of it already. As for fine lines and wrinkles, it didn’t do much for them. It’s just a good moisturizing eye cream. I guess moisturizing helps to diminish some fine lines here and there. On my skin, I haven’t noticed much of a difference with fine lines or wrinkles but love the moisture it provides my skin.

Purito Centella Green Level Eye Cream:

This eye cream isn’t that moisturizing. I’ve gone through a few tubes of it already. I prefer the iUNIK Propolis Vitamin Eye Cream when it comes to moisture. The only reason I’m still using Purito Centella Green Level Eye Cream is because it comes in a 30 mL (1 fl. oz.) tube. It’s super affordable. It also contains centella asiatica extract (49%), asiaticoside, asiatic acid, and madecassic acid. It’s supposed to help with wrinkles, but I haven’t noticed any improvements in wrinkles or even fine lines. It hasn’t irritated my skin, the ingredients look good, I just kept on using it, lol. I still have a bunch more tubes of this product left. I guess I’ll continue to use it, haha. I’m not sure if I’m going to purchase it again when I’m done with all of them. It’s one of those products I’m just keeping around just because.

Benton Fermentation Eye Cream:

This is another favorite eye cream of mine. It’s the Benton Fermentation Eye Cream. The product feels super silky and creamy. Whenever I apply this eye cream to my eye area, it just feels really nice on the skin. I love the ingredients of this eye cream too. It contains galactomyces ferment filtrate, bifida ferment lysate, macadamia seed oil, aloe leaf extract, allantoin, betaine, panthenol, beta-glucan, and so on. This eye cream seems very compatible with my skin. Every time I use it, my skin improves in terms of softness and smoothness. Once again, just like the other eye creams, not much of a difference when it comes to fine lines and wrinkles around the eye area. I just really like the texture and consistency of this product. I enjoy using it.

RoC Retinol Correxion Line Smoothing Eye Cream:

I’ve been an avid user of the RoC Retinol Correxion Line Smoothing Eye Cream. I think it’s been over 10+ years now. The formulation of this product is soft, silky, smooth, and blends into the skin well. It contains retinol and copper gluconate. It’s at the end of the ingredient list, but that’s OK. Why? Because it’s effective. Effective as in my eye area would look much worse if I didn’t use this eye cream. I remember when I tried to switch to another eye cream (Neutrogena brand), and the skin around my eyes looked terrible. I went back to RoC Retinol Correxion Line Smoothing Eye Cream so quick. As for fine lines and wrinkles, I think it helped. As I said before, my under eyes would’ve been much worse if I didn’t use this eye cream. It helps with maintenance, but it’s not perfection. I think this is the only eye cream I’ve used that does give some results. The main reason why I’m still using it! I don’t have crow’s feet so I can’t comment much on that. As for dark under eye circles and under-eye puffiness, nope, did nothing for them. You’re better off just getting enough sleep and eating healthy. I have pretty bad under eye circles, but I think it’s genetics. This eye cream is a staple in my skin care routine. It’s not going anywhere anytime soon. Love it.

Roc Mutli Correxion Hydrate + Plump Eye Cream:

I picked up another RoC Retinol Correxion Eye Cream. There’s a few others I tried too, but I wasn’t impressed by them. This one caught my eye because it contains hyaluronic acid and peptides. The formula of this eye cream is very soft and silky. It feels very elegant on the skin. I’m on my second tube of this eye cream, and I like it so far. It truly does moisturize the eye area. It leaves my under eyes soft and smooth. I think I’m in love with another RoC Retinol eye cream! It feels amazing on my skin. It contains sodium hyaluronate, caffeine, peptides, zinc gluconate. I’m going to keep using it just because I like the texture and consistency of the product, and it’s another product I really enjoy applying to my skin. As for crow’s feet, I don’t have crow’s feet but would like to prevent them from forming. Hopefully it helps to fend these signs of aging away as much as possible. Dark under eye circles? No results there. It doesn’t help with under eye puffiness either. It’s good at deeply moisturizing the skin around the eyes.

CeraVe Eye Repair Eye Cream:

I’m currently using this eye cream (finishing it up). This is one of the eye creams that I decided to not continue using after I’m done with it. Even though it contains niacinamide, ceramides, and hyaluronic acid. It did absolutely nothing for my skin. It’s not even moisturizing. I think this is one of the most overhyped eye creams I’ve used. There’s nothing special about it. I thought it would work due to the ingredients and good reviews, but it didn’t deliver. I won’t buy again.

Cosrx Advanced Snail Peptide Eye Cream:

I picked up Cosrx Advanced Snail Peptide Eye Cream when it was on sale, lol. I honestly wouldn’t have bothered with it if it wasn’t, haha. But, surprisingly, I actually like this eye cream. It contains snail secretion filtrate, sunflower seed oil, niacinamide, sodium hyaluronate, adenosine, peptides, and much more. It feels creamy and sticky when dispensed from the pump bottle. I’m not a huge fan of the pump bottle since more product comes out of it than what is needed. It feels a little sticky, but it blends into the skin well. It absorbs in to the skin without feeling tacky. This eye cream is supposed to brighten the eye area and help diminish the appearance of dark under eye circles plus puffiness. From my experience, I’m on my second bottle, I find it moisturizing. I haven’t noticed any other benefits using this product. I don’t think it’s exactly a bad product. It’s truly moisturizing. I feel like the ingredients are pretty redundant considering other products I’m using, so I’m not sure if there’s going to be a repurchase.

The next two products are not eye creams, but I’ve been using them as one. They are…

RoC Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Filler:

I’m not new to this product. I’ve used it on and off in the past. It works. Doesn’t work. I don’t know. I purchased it again to see if it’ll work again. lol. This product contains retinol and hyaluronic acid. It’s supposed to fill in creases and re-plump the skin. It’s also supposed to help to diminish the look of deep wrinkles. I tried it on my face and all it did was clog my pores. It made my skin oily and dirty. Maybe it’ll work on someone with drier skin. For someone like me, with oily skin, unfortunately, it just did bad things to my skin. So! I started using it as an eye cream and neck cream. It seems to work better as that, since itโ€™s more moisturizing. Have I seen results? I really don’t know, but I have a couple of tubes to finish. lol.

GUERISSON 9 Complex Cream:

This is a face cream, but it works amazingly as an eye cream! Unfortunately, it didn’t work on my facial skin. I started to get clogged pores after using it. Even though it made my skin look more even, brighter, and moisturized, I couldn’t continue to use it because of the breakouts. As an eye cream, it’s wonderful! I also use it as a neck cream. The product contains horse oil/fat, shea butter, niacinamide, peptides, ceramide, and lots of other ingredients that are beneficial for the skin! It’s very moisturizing on the skin. No wonder why it didn’t work on my face. It makes me wonder if I’m being ripped off by companies when I purchase tiny, small eye cream products. Might as well drop some other eye cream products from my routine and use this. It works the same way. This cream also does a great job smoothing out my skin. It works to moisturize and leaves the skin feeling very soft and smooth. Most of my other eye creams do the same but costs much more for the amount of product! Just a thought! I feel like this product may be a keeper. We’ll see!

Those are my thoughts on my eye care products. Thank you for reading. ๐Ÿ™‚ What are your favorite eye creams? Share!

Review: Benton Fermentation Eye Cream

Comment
Benton Fermentation Eye Cream

Alright everyone! I’m here to share another eye cream! I did a review on two eye creams just last week. They are The INKEY List Retinol Eye Cream and The INKEY List Caffeine Eye Cream. If you missed out on those reviews, all you have to do is click on the links provided! ๐Ÿ˜Š Now back to this eye cream I’m going to share! So the eye cream I want to talk about is Benton Fermentation Eye Cream. This eye cream contains fermented ingredients, such as bifida ferment lysate and galactomyces ferment filtrate to help repair skin damage. It also contains ceramide, hyaluronic acid, aloe, and panthenol to deeply hydrate the skin. Also, beta-glucan and adenosine to plump up the skin and smooth out the eye area for a brighter, younger appearance. Goodness knows how many tubes of this eye cream I have gone through, but I’m here to share my experience with everyone. I can’t wait!! Let’s go! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป

This eye cream comes in a 1.05 oz. (30 g) tube. The product is a silky-smooth, creamy gel texture. It feels so soft and glides over the under eyes soooo nicely. I love it so much! It blends into the skin easily with little effort. I love eye creams that just goes on the eye area without doing much. This is one of them. The silky texture of the eye cream gets me every time I use it. Texture and consistency-wise, this stuff is amazing!! It’s a somewhat thicker eye cream that feels concentrated but doesn’t feel heavy on the skin.

The ingredients in this eye cream are pretty good too. It contains fermented ingredients like galactomyces ferment filtrate and bifida ferment lysate. I can’t use fermented ingredients on my facial skin. My skin goes nuts. I start breaking out like crazy. But I can use it around my eye area without any issues. This eye cream also contains macadamia oil, ceramide np, aloe barbadensis leaf extract, sodium hyaluronate, beta-glucan, panthenol, and adenosine. Lots of beneficial skin care ingredients for the eye area. ๐Ÿ™‚

As for results, it leaves my eye area feeling super nourished and moisturized. I just love how moisturizing it is. But, I don’t think it has done much for fine lines and wrinkles. Or even dark under eye circles. But keeping the eye area moisturized helps to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles, which is better than nothing. Even though it didn’t help with fine lines, wrinkles, or dark under eye circles, I really like the overall formulation of this eye cream. So, it’s been good so far. I’ve already gone through plenty of tubes of this stuff. Since I’m still using it, that says something about it. I like it.

โœ… Pros

โŒ Cons

This is one of my favorite eye creams. I love the silky, creamy, smooth texture and consistency of this eye cream. How it glides over my under eyes and leaves it feeling very hydrated and moisturized. My skin feels super nourished each time I use it. I just love how it feels on my eyes. It deeply hydrates and moisturizes it. That’s one of the product claims of this eye cream and that’s what it did! Other eye creams I have used don’t even give my eyes that much moisture, and that includes eye creams I mentioned earlier, such as The INKEY List Retinol Eye Cream and The INKEY List Caffeine Eye Cream. I think I’m going to keep this eye cream in my routine like I’ve been doing, lol. Looooveeee it! ๐Ÿฅฐ
