Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream & Breakouts

Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream

I stopped using Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream. I was wondering where some of my closed comedones and random breakouts were coming from. I wondered if it was the Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream that was clogging my pores. The breakouts were either from Eucerin or Vanicream (my new moisturizer). I’ve been using the Eucerin face cream quite consistently. If you missed out on my first thoughts on Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream, click here. With the Eucerin cream, I was hoping that it would help lessen my dry skin problems while I was on my acne treatment. I didn’t have a good moisturizer during that time. I was using gels, essences, and serums, since my skin tend to have issues with heavier moisturizers and creams. It’s either a hit or miss. Mostly misses. I have oily skin that’s acne-prone and anything could potentially cause breakouts. Using Eucerin was unpredictable. I didn’t get breakouts for the first few weeks. Next thing you know it, I would get breakouts. But was it from Eucerin or something else? Hmmm! I kept using Eucerin because I didn’t think it could be the product that was clogging my pores, but I’m starting to think that it is. I’ve removed so many products from my routine and it all comes down to two products as I mentioned earlier — Eucerin or Vanicream (I hope it’s not this!!). I’ve been using my other skin care products for a good amount of time to know that it doesn’t cause acne. It’s between these two moisturizers. So, here I am eliminating another product from my routine. This is what happened when I stopped using Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream!

My skin felt and looked cleaner.

After I stopped using Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream, my face felt and looked cleaner, less greasy, and less heavy. The product was obviously way too thick and heavy for my skin type. It’s weird because it didn’t feel heavy on the skin once the cream absorbs. But the texture of the cream was heavy and greasy when applied to the skin. I could easily move the cream around on my face without tugging my skin. In a way, I can see why I continued to use the face cream. The texture was nice. It somewhat helped moisturize my skin compared to everything else I was using. It was the closest thing to a moisturizer that I had. When using the cream, it felt like I was moisturizing and pampering my skin. Since I’ve been spoiled by another moisturizer (Vanicream), I can definitely say that Eucerin doesn’t leave the skin feeling truly moisturized. My skin would appear cracked and dry after using it twice a day. The moisture didn’t last too long on the skin. Eucerin didn’t help heal damaged skin either. It’s not good at repairing and calming red, irritated skin. It only helped to moisturize the skin at the moment. It didn’t leave the skin feeling softer, smoother, or even silky afterwards. I didn’t see any positive changes in my skin while using it. My skin just didn’t feel moisturized in the end like it’s supposed to. The results didn’t last.

Did it help with wrinkles??

This face cream claims that it can reduce fine lines and wrinkles in as little as 5 weeks. From my experience, no, it didn’t help with fine lines and wrinkles in as little as 5 weeks. I’ve gone through plenty of jars. I’ve been using this face cream since the beginning of the year. I haven’t noticed a change in fine lines and wrinkles at all. None. The product contains shea butter, ubiquinone, vitamin e, biotin, and vitamin c, but it was just not effective. I didn’t see any improvements in the texture or quality of my skin, which was quite disappointing. If you’re searching for a face cream that works for fine lines and wrinkles, this may not be it. All I know is that it didn’t work for me. No results.

Goodbye breakouts. 👋🏻

As for the breakouts, I noticed closed comedones and other breakouts emerging from underneath the surface after a day of discontinuing the product. The breakouts put me in a panic because I didn’t want to breakout. Since I did develop some pimples, that got me thinking, has this cream been clogging my pores this whole time??!! Hmmm! 🤔 In about 2 days, the breakouts cleared up very quick. My skin began to take on a softer, smoother appearance. I examined my skin closely in the mirror. Wow, my skin looked clearer and way cleaner than before. It’s not greasy and oily anymore. No more acne? My skin is finally clear?? Indeed it was. A product that I thought was helping my skin was just breaking me out the whole entire time. Who knew! So if you’re consistently having clogged pores/breakouts, check all of your skin care products. It may be a product that you least suspect.

Final Thoughts

I’m pretty shocked that I fixed my skin just by eliminating Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream from my face routine. I was dealing with some stubborn acne that just wouldn’t go away. Now, they’re gone. The acne I was dealing with was caused by this face cream this whole time. I currently have no active acne after I stopped using Eucerin. My skin is clear. Finally. I still have a few jars of this cream left. Yeah, I picked up a few just in case I ran out. I thought it worked on my skin at that time, ha! Since I have a few extras, I’m using the face cream as an eye cream and neck cream to use them up. Honestly, I don’t even like it as an eye cream or neck cream anymore. The texture of the cream irks me sometimes. It doesn’t go on the skin clean. It’s more greasy than I previously thought. But, I have to live with it for now. I can’t believe I used it for so many months thinking it was working, lol. So after I finish them, no more. It was nice to try this cream, but it’s time to move on to something that’s more compatible with my skin type. Ahem, doesn’t clog my pores. I already have a new moisturizer and hope it works in the long run. I hope it’s not another Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream. I’m still crossing my fingers since the first day I started using it! Acne.org Skin Care Products

My skin is officially free from acne! And all thanks to BP! Wow, it worked so fast! 😍 But I haven’t given up on BP after being clear. I’m still using it to treat my acne, but I don’t have to use it too often anymore. I’m aiming for once a week at night or twice a week if my skin gets really oily. I think once a week is more than enough. 🤔 BP really dries the living hell out of my skin. After a day of using BP, my skin looks more dull, uneven, and crusty. The next day, it looks AMAZING!! The dead skin just comes off and my skin looks so fresh, bright, and new! The dryness from BP can be a good thing for my skin sometimes, since my skin gets more oily during the more humid, hot, summer months. ☀️ The weather has been hotter than usual. Along with using BP, I’ve made a few changes to my skin care routine. I know, AGAIN! I just can’t stop making changes. LOL. Since I’m focusing more on skin texture and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. I mean, I’ve already gotten my acne under control. Now let’s keep the positive changes rolling! I still have some acne marks that needs to be treated, but I’m not going to purchase any new products to fade them. None of them have worked on my skin anyways. That’ll just be a waste of money. So I decided to re-add some products I removed not so long ago, haha. I know, odd! I didn’t expect this to happen, but I started to miss using these products on my facial skin. They are…

Guess first! lol. Never mind, let’s goooooooooooooo! 🙌🏻

Benton Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel:

All of a sudden I had the urge to use the Benton Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel again. I needed some more moisture in my skin. And I just out of nowhere started using this product again. I think I’m just hooked on it, lol. It feels cooling and soothing on my skin. Gives my skin lightweight, jelly moisture on my oily skin. It’s not the most moisturizing moisturizer, but it provides nice hydration to my skin right now. I’ll use it, but I’m still not sure if I’ll buy another tube of the product. I still have another unopened tube of this product by the way, lol. I’m so addicted to skin care products, hahaha! 😂 My skin is currently loving this aloe soothing gel.

Cos De BAHA MA Peptide Facial Toner:

I really like how this facial toner feels on my skin. It’s another gel-based product. Works perfectly on my oily skin. Just like the Benton Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel, it doesn’t provide much moisture, but I like it for what it is. I like the anti-aging ingredients in this product too. I’m almost out of the product, so I thought I would use it on my facial skin instead. I’m tempted to purchase another bottle since it’s so affordable for the amount of product. But we’ll see. I hope it does wonderous things to my skin for the time being. I’ll just have to wait and see what happens after finishing the bottle.

The Ordinary Resveratrol 3% Ferulic Acid 3%:

I kind of missed that glow that I get from using The Ordinary Ascorbic Acid 8% Alpha Arbutin 2% and The Ordinary Resveratrol 3% Ferulic Acid 3%. I decided to start using The Ordinary Resveratrol 3% Ferulic Acid 3% again. I decided NOT to use the Ascorbic Acid 8% Alpha Arbutin 2%. I wanted to see how my skin is going to react to just using the Resveratrol 3% Ferulic Acid 3% serum. I really like these ingredients and can’t seem to find another product with these ingredients that are affordable. So! Let’s see how it’ll go just using The Ordinary Resveratrol 3% Ferulic Acid 3% alone without the Ascorbic Acid serum! My face hasn’t turned orange yet. Maybe it’s the Ascorbic Acid that’s turning me into an oompa loompa. 🍊

Those are the 3 products I decided to reintroduce back into my skin care routine. I thought I would call it quits for good on these products, but it just felt like it was the right time to use them again. One night I just grabbed these products and used them on my face. The next morning, my skin was super glowy and pretty that I had to continue using them to see what happens. My skin has been looking good since. No problems so far. I haven’t experienced any breakouts from any of them (as of yet). I hope it stays this way. Besides skin care, I’m trying to eat healthy. Trying to get more vegetables into my diet. Drinking more water to keep my body hydrated. Everything has changed so much since the beginning of this year until now. Hope all goes well this summer and the rest of the year!

But there’s something else…

I started using tret again! Well, I still am once a week, but my dose has been increased! I’m using a higher concentration. I was bumped up to 0.1 for acne. 0.05 did absolutely nothing for my acne. I tried 0.1 before, and it was way too strong on my skin during that point in time. But, that was the past, this is now. Let’s give the 0.1 a try and see how my skin reacts. I’ve been using the 0.1 for about 2 days now. And you know what? My skin has been tolerating it pretty well. Much better than it did before. Here’s my 2 day experience using tret! What happened to my skin??

Day 1:

One night, I decided to use my tube of 0.1 tret. I had it. It was just sitting around unused because it was too strong for my skin at one point. Not anymore. I applied it to my skin. The product felt warm and smooth on my skin. It moved across my skin very nicely. I liked the way it felt on my skin. At the same time, I was petrified not knowing what would happen the next morning. When using tret, I used my moisturizing skin care products to prevent my skin from any dryness. There’s another product I started using again when I started using tret too. It’s the Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream. I needed a richer, heavier product to prevent my skin from drying out when on tret. This seemed to be the perfect choice. I took some of the cream and applied it to my face after applying tret and my lightweight moisturizers. Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream was the 4th product that I reintroduced to my skin care routine. 🙂

Day 2:

The next morning (after day 1), my skin felt warm. I can see red splotches on my face. They weren’t that bad. They were just a light pink/red color that eventually faded away. I decided to use tret again on the second night. My skin didn’t feel dry or irritated besides some redness that went away. I’m glad I went forth with the second night. Because the next day, I noticed a lot of peeling on my face. Also, I noticed some random breakouts that healed very fast! Am I purging? Hmmm! My skin looked really good besides my skin peeling off all over my face. I’m pretty excited to remove these dry, dead skin cells from my face! Wow, is tret really working for me this time? Because it seems like it! My skin is responding well. No major irritations besides some redness and skin peeling on the second day. Maybe I just needed to give my skin a break and move on to something stronger. Also, I’ve continued to use Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream in the morning too and at night to prevent my skin from drying out or if there’s any itchiness. My skin hasn’t been itchy while on tret. Some dryness hasn’t been bad either. All is going well. 👍🏻

SO! It looks like I’m back on my tret journey. AGAINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!! hahaha. I’m really excited this time because my skin is actually peeling like when I was using BP. The more dead skin my face sloughs off, the clearer my skin gets. It helps to prevent breakouts from living underneath the surface of the skin. Plus, it’s a bonus that it also helps to improve the quality of my skin. My skin looks really good right now. I’m not sure how long it’s going to take to achieve a near flawless (nothing is perfect!) complexion, but I’m really happy how things are going. I’ll make another update on my tret journey soon! See everyone there! I hope this post was helpful! Have a nice day! 😊

Review: Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Lotion SPF 15 Sunscreen

Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Lotion SPF 15 Sunscreen

So I had the chance to try out another sunscreen in the past week! It’s Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Lotion SPF 15 Sunscreen! After having so much success with Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream, I thought I would give the Q10 Anti-Wrinkle sunscreen a try. I was searching for a sunscreen that was a little bit more moisturizing than what I am using. Mineral sunscreens tend to dry out my skin so much! I just wanted a sunscreen that moisturizes and protects my skin. This sunscreen contains chemical filters, such as Octinoxate (7.5%), Octisalate (3.0%), and Oxybenzone (3.0%). I do pretty well with chemical filters. No dryness, itchiness, or any irritation of any kind besides it burning my eyes if it gets in. 😢 Yeah, I know, this sunscreen only contains SPF 15, but hey, let’s try it anyways to see if it works or not. Who knows what may happen! It might even work!

Note: Has anyone noticed that Neutrogena Visibly Even Daily Moisturizer SPF 30 just vanished? It’s not like I’m using it anymore. I still have a couple of tubes of the Visibly Even Daily Moisturizer SPF 30 left, and I’m currently still using Canmake Mermaid Skin Gel UV SPF 50+ PA++++, which has a higher SPF and a good PA. It’s just that, it’s been out of stock for a while that’s all. haha! 🤔 Now back to Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Lotion SPF 15 Sunscreen!

About this sunscreen…

It visibly reduces the look of fine lines and wrinkles in as little as 5 weeks! It’s formulated with coenzyme Q10 and vitamin E. It moisturizes the skin for softer, smoother skin while protecting the skin with SPF 15. It’s fragrance-free. Non-comedogenic. Great for sensitive skin!

The ingredients isn’t too bad. It does appear to be moisturizing just by taking a glance at the ingredients. My skin can’t handle skin care products that are super moisturizing. If it does, I was just lucky for it to work (not clog my pores). This sunscreen does contain ingredients I’m wary about, but let’s see what happens! Let’s move on to my experience! This is what happened! 👇🏻

Here’s my experience after using it!

This sunscreen comes in a 4 fl. oz. pump bottle that’s easy to use. I only needed a single pump of product for the whole face. It felt soothing and moisturizing yet lightweight on the skin all at once. The most moisturizing lightweight moisturizer that I have used in a while. It’s even more moisturizing than the Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream. It just feels so soft and smoothing on the skin. It rubs into the skin nicely too. The product doesn’t tug at the skin. It glides across the skin easily with little effort. Once I was done applying the lotion, my skin felt so moisturized and prepped for makeup. It helped tame any flaky skin I had and made my skin look ultra silky and smooth. It was unbelievable. I loved the results I saw using this sunscreen. And I wanted the results to last forever! I was hoping that it worked for me long term at this point. 🙂

The sunscreen stayed on my skin and left my skin feeling moisturized throughout the day. I didn’t have any issues with it. It made my skin appear softer. My pores looked better too. It felt like I applied a makeup primer to my facial skin without the excess silicone feeling that I get from wearing a makeup primer. This product does contain silicone in it, but it doesn’t feel like it. I liked the way it felt on my skin. This product also contains alcohol, but it didn’t dry my skin out in any way. Honestly, I didn’t have a problem with it. The sunscreen worked for me with the alcohol in it. I didn’t have any sort of redness or irritation. Just amazingly moisturized skin that lasted the whole day! Seems to work great if you have sensitive skin. It didn’t burn my eyes either! Awesome!

So am I still using this sunscreen??

Hmmm! The answer is no. I was able to use this sunscreen for less than a week. I started noticing clogged pores mid-week. I noticed hard sebum within my pores and new breakouts in random places. I stopped using the sunscreen because of that. I knew it was the sunscreen that caused the breakouts. It was just too good to be true. The sunscreen also contains Glyceryl Stearte SE, Caprylic-Capric-Triglyceride, Cetyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Alcohol. I think a combination of these ingredients just made me breakout in acne. I had to give it up (on my face). I may continue to use it on other parts of my body, since I’m madly in love with the texture and consistency of the product. It just feels so moisturizing and healing at the same time while providing SPF 15. Once again, yes, it’s low, but it’s something. Plus I already have a higher SPF for my facial skin. I’m after the moisture! I love it! So overall, for the face, it didn’t work out. For other parts of my skin, yes. And if you don’t have acne-prone skin, it’s a pretty good product. Too bad I’m stuck with blemishes. Well, preventing them anyways. haha. Moving on…

Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream

I have a new moisturizer! 😃 It’s a product I have used before many moons ago, but I decided to give it another chance. My skin was feeling a little dry and needed a good moisturizer. My lightweight moisturizers weren’t doing it for my skin. So, with this moisturizer, it’s been YEARS since I’ve used it. Maybe it’ll be different this time around. I don’t know. We’ll see! So the moisturizer or face cream that I have is Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream. Now let’s learn more about it first…

So this face cream is formulated with antioxidants like vitamin e, coenzyme q10, beta-carotene to help reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles. It says in as little as 5 weeks, it reduces the look of fine lines and wrinkles for softer, smoother looking skin. This cream is for sensitive skin, fragrance-free, alcohol-free, and non-comedogenic.

The product says it’s non-comedogenic. I don’t recall this cream breaking me out in the past. I think that’s why I thought I would give it another go. But let’s take a look at the ingredients. Here are the ingredients in this product!

Water, glycerin, ethylhexyl cocoate, hydrogenated coco-glycerides, stearyl alcohol, butylene glycol, cetyl alcohol, caprylic/capric triglyceride, butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter, glyceryl stearate citrate, octyldodecanol, tocopheryl acetate, ubiquinone, biotin, biosaccharide gum-1, sodium ascorbyl phosphate, zea mays (corn) oil, beta-carotene, tocopherol, 1,2-hexanediol, carbomer, sodium hydroxide, trisodium EDTA, dehydroacetic acid, phenoxyethanol.

It contains some ingredients that I usually can’t tolerate, such as caprylic/capric triglyceride, shea butter, and corn oil, but I decided to just give it a try anyways. I really needed a better moisturizer for my face. Once again, I can’t recall this cream breaking me out in the past. I can just hope that it’s the same as before. Makes me wonder why I stopped using it in the first place. There’s only one way to find out if it works or not and that is to try it!

The face cream comes in a 1.7 oz. jar (48 g). It’s a tiny jar. It comes sealed. YAY!! Ya know how much I love sealed skin care products. It’s fresh. It’s new. And I know I’m getting a brand new product!

Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream

This is what the face cream looks like when the seal is removed. The product is yellow in color. It appears to be rich, thick, creamy, and buttery. It’s much, much different than what I’m used to or what I’ve been using on a daily basis. I really hope it doesn’t clog my pores. ha.

Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream

My First Impression

This face cream is rich, thick, and creamy. It has a buttery texture to it. It feels much heavier and more dense than what I’m used to. I was very skeptical yet interested in this face cream all at the same time. I knew I needed something much richer, more moisturizing for my face. My lightweight moisturizers were just not cutting it for long-term. Yes, oily (and acne-prone) skin needs a good moisturizer too. It’s just really difficult to find one that gives it the moisture that it needs without causing breakouts and making it appear more oily. So, I loved how rich and thick the cream is. Also, I didn’t need to use a lot of product either to cover my whole face and neck area either. Just a little bit of product is needed and pat it into the skin. The face cream blends and absorbs well into the skin. It didn’t take much effort to get it to sink into the skin. Awesome! It leaves my skin highly, deeply moisturized. I just love it. It feels very nice on the skin. Also, it makes a really good eye cream. It leaves my eye area deeply moisturized. It’s more moisturizing compared to the eye creams that I have. So, I definitely fell in love with this face cream and how it made my skin feel right on the spot.

I’ve only used this face cream for 3 days. I used it in the morning and at night. I was going to use it only at night as my night cream since it felt heavier on the face, but I decided to use it in the morning too. My sunscreen tends to dry my face out. It absorbs all of the moisture from my skin. And ta-da! It worked in the morning wonderfully. My skin felt more soft, velvety, smooth, and just super moisturized. Works great underneath my sunscreen. Now my skin doesn’t feel extra dry anymore. Yay! My Cosrx Ultimate Nourishing Rice Overnight Spa Mask couldn’t compete with this type of hydration. My skin actually feels moisturized and was left moisturized throughout the day with Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream. I mean, it does contain heavier, richer ingredients in it. It’s a heavier cream than what I usually use, so I’m not too surprised. But, with the Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream, the product doesn’t feel heavy as I thought it would. It feels lightweight on the skin. All I needed was a thin layer of the product to provide moisture to my skin.

I didn’t have any issues with this product within 3 days of use. The product didn’t ball up. It sat on my skin well and stayed in place. Absorbs into the skin well (as I mentioned earlier). It didn’t make my face look oily. Doesn’t leave a greasy film behind or feel sticky on my skin either. Not bad at all. Now let’s get into the acne. As for acne, it’s only been 3 days, but I haven’t experienced any breakouts from this face cream. I’ve only experienced a more hydrated, moisturized complexion. My skin looks softer, smoother, and just healthier looking overall. This is exactly what my skin needed when it lacked moisture! So it looks like it’s working for me so far. Wow, maybe I’ve found a face cream that works on my stubborn, annoying, breakout-prone skin. Some of the ingredients in this product are usually not compatible with my skin type. I usually get a ton of clog pores from them. But, you know, I don’t want to jinx myself. This face cream has been amazing within the first 3 days. I hope it works out in the end because I’m loving it sooooo farrr!! I hope it works! 🙂

New update within a few weeks. 👍🏻🤞🏻
