Pacifica Skin Care for Dry Skin + First Impression
Jun. 27, 2020Leave a comment
So I’ve been dealing with extremely dry and itchy skin. I’ve been searching for some ‘moisturizing’ skin care products to alleviate these symptoms. I’ve seen Pacifica skin care products whenever I’m out shopping. I thought I would give them a try this time. They have good reviews and all. Plus, they are vegan and cruelty-free. Why not? I ended up picking up….
- Pacifica Rose Flower Hydro Mist
- Pacifica Cosmic Shield Hydration Lock Face Cream
I’ve had a chance to try both of them, so I can give my thoughts on them right now.
Pacifica Rose Flower Hydro Mist:
This is a hydrating spray or ‘hydro mist’ as it states on the bottle. It is indeed moisturizing, but it doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. It takes a few minutes for the product to absorb into the skin. I only spray my face once (in the morning) after I apply my makeup. It’s because my BB Cream can make my skin look dry and cracked. Yuck! It seems to be working. The only thing I don’t like about this spray is the fragrance.
Pacifica Cosmic Shield Hydration Lock Face Cream:
I was hoping to find a good face cream. This cream is more on the runny side. The texture feels more like a thicker serum than a face cream. It absorbs into the skin very well and leaves it feeling hydrated. I do have oily skin, and it did feel quite heavier on my skin than expected. I know anything that feels heavy on the skin will eventually break me out. That’s what happened. I ended up with a pimple near my hairline after using this. I stopped using it on my face. This ‘face cream’ isn’t for me. It sure works very well as an eye cream. It’s lightweight in texture, goes on delicately, and very hydrating. Same with this product (as the hydro mist), it has fragrance. Meh. I prefer my skin care products without fragrance.
Those are my thoughts on these skin care products. Check out my ongoing Tretinoin Journey! ^.^

Review: RoC Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Serum + Night Cream
Feb. 28, 2020Leave a comment
Here’s my 1 week update (review) on RoC skin care products!! Let’s start off with the Deep Wrinkle Serum (on the right).
Review on Deep Wrinkle Serum:
I used the Deep Wrinkle Serum in the morning and at night. I loved the texture of the serum. It’s lightweight and absorbs into the skin very well. It blends in effortlessly. It leaves my skin feeling soft, looking smoother, and somewhat hydrated. Yep, it’s not that moisturizing. I noticed a huge difference in my skin within 1 week of using it. But, this serum did cause my skin to break out in tiny little pimples around my chin and forehead area. I noticed tiny little bumps appearing out of nowhere. This could be an initial breakout from the glycolic acid or from other ingredients in the product. I did notice my skin peeling a tad bit too. I’m going to decrease my use of this serum due to the pimples. I don’t want to deal with pimples if I don’t have to. My skin is pretty clear. I want to keep it that way. What I didn’t like about this serum was the fragrance and the packaging. I feel like I’m being ripped off due to the poor, crappy packaging. I won’t purchase again for that reason.
Review on Deep Wrinkle Night Cream:
Like the Deep Wrinkle Serum, the Deep Wrinkle Night Cream contains glycolic acid too. I only used the Deep Wrinkle Night Cream at night (as the name of the product states). Results were pretty similar to the Deep Wrinkle Serum. It just felt drier. The Deep Wrinkle Night Cream comes in better packaging. At least I know how much product I have left. Would I buy it again? No. I have a love-hate relationship with the Deep Wrinkle Night Cream and Serum. I love how they soften my skin, but I don’t want to deal with pimples. I’m aware that glycolic acid can cause an initial breakout. I don’t know if it’s from the glycolic acid or something else in the product. 🤷🏻♀️ I’m not going to bother figuring it out. I’ll just find something else that’s more suitable for my skin type. Also, another reason why I’m not going to purchase these skin care products again is because they are not cruelty-free. RoC is not a cruelty-free brand.
I hope this helped!
