I’ve officially finished the whole bottle of LilyAna Naturals Eye Cream Moisturizer! It took me 4 months to get all the way to the bottom of the bottle! Here’s my review on it!

As I continued to use LilyAna Naturals Eye Cream Moisturizer, I liked it, but I didn’t think it was all too great either. I love how natural the ingredients are and that it’s vegan! This eye cream didn’t harm my skin. It didn’t miraculously changed the condition of my skin. Since I’m getting older, I need a more moisturizing eye cream. I noticed that this eye cream lacked the proper hydration that my skin needs. As I mentioned before, I have horrible dark under eye circles. I’m going to find an eye cream that targets those skin conditions and gives me results. Overall, not bad if you don’t have the issues that I have.

My skin care routine to fight acne.

Hey guys! Here is my updated skin care routine! My last skin care update was about 1 month ago! Here it is: My Skin Care Routine (Oily, Acne-Prone Skin). 1 month goes by so quick! I’ve already incorporated more skin care products into my skin care routine. Some old, some new. In this post, I’m going to show you what I use on a daily basis. What I think about these products. Do they work? Are they any good? Also, tips on what you need to do to achieve younger, softer, glowing skin! Let’s start off with the first product I use in the morning when I wake up!

#1. Trader Joe’s Spa Face Wash with Tea Tree Oil

Trader Joe’s Spa Face Wash with Tea Tree Oil

When I wake up and before I go to sleep, I use Trader Joe’s Spa Face Wash with Tea Tree Oil as my facial cleanser. It’s been 3 weeks of using it on a day-to-day basis. So far, I’m loving it! It removes excess oil off of my skin without drying out my skin to the extreme. It brightens my skin up and evens out my complexion. My acne scars are slowly fading. This could quickly become my favorite cleanser if I keep seeing positive results.

Did you know? This face wash contains natural ingredients, such as tea tree, awapuhi, orange peel, and lavender. It’s not tested on animals. There’s no animal by-products. And it’s cruelty-free. It’s vegan. More information on Trader Joe’s Spa Face Wash with Tea Tree Oil below.

#2. Maxi-Peel Exfolaint Solution

Maxi-Peel Exfoliant Solution

Maxi-Peel Exfoliant Solution

After I wash my face, I use Maxi-Peel Exfoliant Solution (level 3). Maxi-Peel offers 3 levels ranging from 1-3. Strength-wise, the higher the number, the higher the strength. I have oily, acne-prone skin that easily breaks out, so level 3 is the appropriate choice for me. I used level 2 before, and it didn’t improve my skin one bit. I talked about Maxi-Peel Exfolaint Solution a while back. Maxi-Peel Exofliant Solution is a skin care product that increases the cell turn-over rate of the skin. Dead skin cells are sloughed off by Tretinoin (a retinoid) while Hydroquinone (depigmenting) inhibits the melanin. You can read more about Maxi-Peel Solution right here.

As for the product, it works amazingly, but you have to use it correctly. When I use Maxi-Peel Exfoliant Solution, I use it every night until my skin feels sensitive and dry. That’s when I take a break. During that time, dead skin cells begin to slough off. There could be acne popping up out of nowhere if you’re prone to acne. Don’t fret. They’ll go away over time. When do I use the Maxi-Peel Exfoliant Solution again? Whenever my skin is ready. Over 1 week or less. It is highly dependent on the condition of my skin. Over-using the product will not lead to faster results. Your skin will become raw, red, torn up, and itchy! Very unattractive and painful. With this product, let it take its course. It will lead you to a brighter, clearer complexion!

#3. Differin Adapalene 0.1% Acne Treatment Gel

Differin Adapalene 0.1% Acne Treatment Gel

Differin Adapalene 0.1% Acne Treatment Gel

Here is my second choice of acne treatment or wrinkle treatment. It is Differin Adapalene 0.1% Acne Treatment Gel. This product used to be a prescription skin care product. It’s now sold over the counter in stores. The size options are 15 grams and 45 grams. I have the 15 grams one. I just wanted to try it out that’s why. I have a lengthy past history of using Differin as an acne treatment prescribed by my doctor. It worked great at first! I used the 0.1%. The 0.1% stopped working on my skin. I was bumped up to 0.3%. The 0.3% eventually stopped working. After that, I moved onto other retinoids, such as Tazorac and Retin-A. Tazorac is bomb! It works! Check out my post on retinoids to learn more about them:

My Experience with Retinoids & How To Use Tips

With retinoids, there’s a process that you have to go through to achieve a clearer complexion. It sloughs off dull, dead skin cells while the skin breaks out in acne. I know, sounds traumatizing. It is. I’ve been through it several times. The end results are well worth the wait! I would use Tazorac and Retin-A again, but that means I would have to go see a dermatologist for it. My skin, as of current, isn’t that bad. Way much better compared to my acne past.

From my experience with the over the counter Differin Adapalene 0.1% Acne Treatment Gel so far, it’s not a miracle worker for acne-prone skin. It’s not strong enough on my skin to treat acne. My skin is used to that stuff. I only used it for the anti-wrinkle and anti-aging benefits. It makes my skin feel smooth and supple. As you can see, I used most of the product up already and will finish it. I’m not sure if I’ll repurchase.

#4. Acne Treatment: Acne.org BP Treatment Gel

Acne.org BP Treatment Gel

Acne.org BP Treatment Gel

I’ve been using Acne.org BP Treatment Gel for the longest time ever! It used to be my primary acne treatment, but not anymore. I’ve been weaning off of it and using less of it overtime. The reason why is because it feels very uncomfortable on my skin. Also, it makes my skin appear dull and blotchy. My skin has changed a lot since I was younger (when I used BP more often). Nowadays, it’s more sensitive. So, I only use Acne.org BP Treatment as a spot treatment rather than an all-over face treatment. I don’t use it every day either. Once or twice a week at most (if I need it).

#5. RoC Retinol Correxion Eye Cream

RoC Retinol Correxion Eye Cream

Every skin care regiment needs an eye cream to keep the skin around the eyes moisturized and hydrated. I use RoC Retinol Correxion Eye Cream. I’ve been using this eye cream for decades! I will never switch! I’ve tried other eye creams, and they don’t even compare to RoC Retinol Correxion Eye Cream. RoC Retinol Correxion Eye Cream moisturizes my delicate eye area and prevents wrinkles from becoming more prominent.

#6. 100% Petroleum Jelly

Petroleum Jelly. Vaseline. I purchased this for 1 dollar. It works!

I purchased this for 1 dollar. It works!

Good ‘ol Petroleum Jelly does the trick! Or, as people remember it as, the brand Vaseline. This isn’t Vaseline though. It’s a store brand skin care product that contains 100% petroleum jelly. 🙂 I purchased this tub of petroleum jelly at my local grocery store for $1.00! Petroleum jelly is great on dry areas of the skin while being super inexpensive to boot! I use it on extremely dry areas, such as my hands knees, elbows, and lips. Also, I use it as an eye cream if I need a surge of moisture. To prevent fine lines and wrinkles, make sure to moisturize the skin! That is very important! Take note, do not use it on acne-prone areas. You will break-out!

#7. Differin Moisturizer Oil-Control for Acne Prone Skin SPF 30

Sun Protection: Differin Moisturizer Oil-Control for Acne Prone Skin SPF 30

Sun Protection: Differin Moisturizer Oil-Control for Acne Prone Skin SPF 30

Every morning, I use a sun protection lotion to protect my skin from the harmful UV rays. I use Differin Moisturizer Oil-Control for Acne Prone Skin SPF 30. Honestly, it’s been hard for me to find a moisturizer that works on my blemish-prone skin. This one has been OK. I do feel that it makes my skin feel and look more oily than it should be. It even says oil-control on the bottle, lol. But, it doesn’t control the sebum on my oily skin. That is a blatant lie from Differin. I do like the fact that it’s specifically made for acne-prone skin. And, I have noticed less acne break-outs from this moisturizer compared others I’ve used in the past. Still, it doesn’t keep me break-out free. I noticed a few times that it caused me to have blackheads and a few pimples here and there due to over moisturizing my skin. I said this many times in my skin care posts that I have oily skin. When I say that, I do. Excessively oily skin. I could probably fry some french fries with them. I guess I’ll stick it out with this face lotion. Only time will tell.

That is my current skin care routine in detail. Let me know if you have any questions. Also, have you tried any of the products mentioned above? If so, share your thoughts. Make sure to mention what type of skin you have too. Have a nice day! 🙂
