Review: The Ordinary Products (What I’m Trying to Finish)

The Ordinary Skin Care Products

Here’s a list of The Ordinary skin care products I’m trying to finish. I’ve been trying to use them every night. I couldn’t use most of them during the day. The texture of most of these serums are too thick, heavy, and greasy on my skin. I started to get itchy from them too due to the oiliness of the serums. But I’ve been trying to purge these products from my life. But since I’ve been using them consistently, what are my thoughts on them now? Are they any good? Will I try them out again or just drop them from my routine? Keep reading to find out!

The Ordinary Pycnogenol 5%:

The Ordinary Pycnogenol 5%

I remember when I first purchased this serum. I thought it would work well with my other antioxidants. The product advertised itself to recycle oxidized vitamin c. It’s supposed to help hydrate the skin and improve skin elasticity. Also, scavenge free radicals and so much more. When I was using vitamin c serums, my face was darker than the rest of my body. My facial skin was literally a pumpkin. ๐ŸŽƒ Who knows if the pycnogenol serum did anything to help recycle oxidized vitamin c. The overall formulation of this product is moisturizing, but it’s more on the greasy, heavy side. It didn’t help to rejuvenate my skin or improve skin elasticity. I didn’t notice any changes in my skin. Why did I purchase this again? lol. The bottle of the serum is tiny. It comes in a 0.5 fl. oz (50 mL) glass dropper bottle. It’s cute and all, but it’s not worth it for me. It did nothing for my skin. I’ve been using more than one drop (more than I usually use) to finish it up. Still, it’s taking forever to finish it. It lasts forever. I guess that’s a good thing if you’re interested in this product. I’m on my last bottle and can’t wait to be done with it!

Hylamide Booster Glow:

Hylamide Glow Radiance Booster

Before I begin, this product is a self-tanning serum. It contains a raspberry derived alternative instead of self-tanning ingredient DHA to build pigment in the skin. The purpose of this product is to give the skin some radiance, golden glow after 2-3 days of use. I made a mistake of purchasing this product thinking that it would help fade some acne marks and skin discolorations. It’s a self-tanning product, not a product to help fade acne marks or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. The last time I used a self-tanning product was when I was a teenager. That was when it was all about having that bronze, glowing tanned skin for me. Since I’ve only used self-tanning products to get a tan, I think I saved my skin from UV damage over the years. Looking back, I’m pretty happy with most of my skin care decisions. haha. I said most, lol.

When I first opened this product, it smelled so bad. I almost vomited. The smell of the product just gives me headaches as I continued to use it. The smell lingers on the skin too. I haven’t used this on my face in months due to it having an awful smell. But also, I didn’t really like the results. The times I used it on my face, I took a few drops and pat the serum into my skin, twice a day. After a few days, I noticed some color in my skin. It really does add some pigment into the skin. Unfortunately, it made my skin extremely yellow (just like the color of the serum). I was expecting a more natural, less-yellowish hue to my skin. More like a light tan, bronze shade that I got from my past tanning products. I didn’t get those results from this product. I stopped using it. It takes some time for the color to fade, so my skin was just bright yellow for a while. I don’t remember how long it lasted, but I could clearly recall how yellow my face was. I’ve always liked the smell of tanning products but this one just stinks. ๐Ÿคข

The Ordinary 100% Plant-Derived Squalane:

The Ordinary 100% Plant-Derived Squalane

I used to love squalane in products when I first started off with skin care. I was able to use them without clogging my pores. But it seems like pure 100% squalane does a number on my skin. The oil sits on top of my skin and doesn’t absorb as quickly. The product claims that this serum is a fast-absorbing oil-like serum. No, it didn’t absorb fast. It felt heavy and greasy on my skin. It saturates the top layer of my skin and just sits there. It just makes my skin appear more oily. It doesn’t hydrate or moisturize my skin either. Maybe oils are just not for me. This squalane oil serum didn’t work for me. I didn’t like the way it felt on my skin. I’ve been using it on my feet to get rid of it, lol. I can’t use it on my upper body. It sticks to everythinga and (once again) it doesn’t sink into the skin properly.

The Ordinary Amino Acids + B5:

The Ordinary Amino Acids + B5

One of The Ordinary products that feels like water. ๐Ÿ’ง The purpose of this serum is to add hydration to the skin. The key ingredients are Betaine, Arginine, Panthenol, Sodium PCA, Sodium Lactate, and PCA. It also contains other amino acids, to name a few, Valine, Proline, Isoleucine, Phenylalanine, and Threonine. The product is called ‘Amino Acids’ for a reason. It contains a bunch of amino acids in it. B5 or panthenol is a b vitamin. Panthenol is an ingredient that soothes, moisturizes, and strengthens the skin. I love skin care products with this ingredient. It’s non-irritating and leaves my skin in good condition. But, this serum didn’t live up to my expectations. As I mentioned, the serum feels like I’m applying water to my skin. It didn’t leave my skin feeling hydrated at all. I tried applying it once (didn’t hydrate my skin well) and applying layers of the product to my skin (no hydration or extra hydration, just wasted product). Honestly, I didn’t think this serum did anything special for my skin including something as basic as hydration. It absorbs into the skin quick, but I didn’t see any noticeable improvements in my skin. This serum was a waste of time and money. On my skin, at least.

The Ordinary Retinol 1% in Squalane:

The Ordinary Retinol 1% in Squalane

The purpose of this retinol product is to help with uneven skin tone, texture irregularities, signs of aging, and dryness. Bingo. That’s what retinol does for the skin. For me, even though this is advertised as high-strength retinol, I thought it was too gentle on my skin. I wasn’t able to use it for too long due to the other ingredients being incompatible with my skin type. I thought the texture and consistency of the serum was too oily. The first ingredient in this product is squalane. And I know that squalane won’t work on my skin if it’s the first ingredient or base of the serum. It also contains jojoba seed oil and tomato fruit extract. I wish the ingredients were even shorter for my acne-prone skin. This serum ended up breaking me out (not a purge). It clogged my pores, and my skin never improved using it due to the breakouts. I don’t think this is a terrible product. If your skin can handle the other ingredients besides retinol in this product, it could work for you. My skin didn’t like the overall formulation of this retinol product. So, as you can see, I’ve been using it on my body instead.

The Ordinary Resveratrol 3% Ferulic Acid 3%:

The Ordinary Resveratrol 3% Ferulic Acid 3%

So the purpose of this serum is to help with dullness and target the signs of aging. I’m a fan of resveratrol and ferulic acid. And I was madly in love with this antioxidant serum for a while. I kept trying it over and over again. I even tried it on my face again not so long ago. I was hoping that it would work on my skin because it’s an affordable serum and contains resveratrol and ferulic acid. Nope, too bad, my skin rejected this serum. I started breaking out in acne out of nowhere. I didn’t have to use this serum for too long to develop breakouts. I think I’m finally over this serum. I don’t have the urge to use it on my facial skin anymore, lol. I love the active ingredients in it, but the overall formulation of the product is too heavy and greasy for my oily skin. It makes my skin even more greasy and shiny. So I’m glad I have finally detached myself from using it ever again (on my face). I thought about purchasing it for the skin on my body (haha!), but I can’t seem to get over how greasy it is. It’s official. I’m over it. It’s time to move on.

The Ordinary Ascorbic Acid 8% Alpha Arbutin 2%:

The Ordinary Ascorbic Acid 8% Alpha Arbutin 2%

Another product that I kept on going back to like the Resveratrol & Ferulic Acid is the Ascorbic Acid & Alpha Arbutin. The purpose of this serum is to even out the skin tone, combat signs of aging and dullness, and it’s also an antioxidant (woohoo vitamin c!!). I was in deep denial when I was using this serum (not the first time, lol). With this serum, I didn’t notice much brightening in my skin. I didn’t notice fading of acne marks or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation either. My skin actually turned orange. It made my face darker than the rest of my body. I just kept using it because it was affordable and contains vitamin c plus alpha arbutin. I didn’t think it was worth using anymore due to poor results. But also, the serum has a greasy, heavy feel to it (like a bunch of other The Ordinary skin care products). I was using it in combination with the Resveratrol & Ferulic Acid serum, and it was a huge disappointment. I can’t believe I stuck with it for years! This serum isn’t coming back to my routine. Once I’m done with it, it’s done.

The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA:

The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA

I really love lactic acid. It’s one of my favorite aha products. It’s gentle, works to exfoliate the skin, leaves the skin looking glowy and smooth. It’s just amazing. I’ll choose it over glycolic acid any day. It simply works better on my skin with less irritation. So this lactic acid serum is a high-strength exfoliator that works to reveal smoother skin. It’s for uneven skin tone, texture irregularities, and skin dullness. All I needed was a few drops for the whole face, pat it into the skin, and that’s it! It absorbs pretty fast into the skin without leaving any sticky residue and doesn’t feel heavy or greasy on the skin. It’s not like the other The Ordinary serums that I’ve talked about. This one is lightweight and feels decent after application. I’ve used this product on and off over the years. The first time I used it was a mess. My skin was just terrible and nothing was working. Not even this lactic acid serum alone. I stopped using it for a while. I started using it again, and it seemed like it worked better on my skin this time around! I was shocked and excited at the same time. My skin was actually peeling like it’s supposed to when using a chemical exfoliator. Keep in mind that this is the 10% formula. It’s much stronger. If you’re not experienced with lactic acid, The Ordinary has the 5% formula. I haven’t tried the 5% yet. I’ve only used the 10%. I stopped using this product because I went on to use other products to treat my acne like salicylic acid. They seem to work better for my acne than lactic acid. So, in saying that, I would definitely give this serum a try again if it comes to it. That’s if my other acne products stop working. I’m currently using this product up right now because I don’t want to let it expire. It’ll be a waste.

The Ordinary Argireline Solution 10%:

The Ordinary Argireline Solution 10

This product is advertised as a ‘non-injective’ solution for dynamic lines. It’s supposed to treat crow’s feet and signs of aging. Some say it’s ‘botox in a bottle’. The star ingredient in this product is Acetyl Hexapeptide-8. I don’t have major dynamic wrinkles, but the product did claim that it’ll help with signs of aging. I have some signs of aging that I could tackle or at least prevent. The serum is a watery liquid and very easy to use. It absorbs into the skin fast and leaves the skin feeling like there’s nothing on the skin. It felt like I was applying water to my skin. As for the results, I didn’t like what it did to my skin. I noticed my skin started to look droopy and saggy. Like, what, what’s going on? I stopped using it immediately, but that was after going through a more than a few bottles. ha! *sigh* My skin bounced back to what it was before using the product. Thank goodness! While using this serum, I would like to mention that my skin didn’t freeze or feel motionless. From my experience with this product, I won’t purchase again. Honestly, I don’t care much about it anymore. Just trying to finish up what I have now (not on my face).

The Ordinary Matrixyl 10% + HA:

The Ordinary Matrixyl 10% + HA

With The Ordinary Argireline Solution 10%, I used the Matrixyl 10%. The Ordinary Matrixyl 10% + HA is a skin-firming serum that targets fine lines and signs of aging. This product contains peptides, such as Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38. I’ve gone through several bottles of this serum too. I’m not sure if it did anything for my skin. In my mind, I was hoping that it did and will. ๐Ÿ˜ It’s an affordable product that contains peptides. I stopped using this product on my face. My skin doesn’t like the texture of the serum. It’s a gel that blends into the skin well, but it seems to dry out my facial skin and irritates it to no end. After quitting this serum for months, maybe I should try it again? lol. Not on my face but the skin around my eyes. I have some fine lines that I want to get rid of or at least diminish. Hopefully it’ll help with the ‘signs of aging’ too. Why not? I still have it. I think this is the only serum I’ll make an update on soon! Counting down the days and look forward to a new review on The Ordinary Matrixyl 10% HA!!

I do have more products from The Ordinary that weren’t included on this list like The Ordinary EUK 134 0.1% and The Ordinary Mandelic Acid 10% + HA. They’re on my list to finish up, but I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed with the amount of products I’m using right now. ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ I’ll get to them when I can. More reviews coming up soon!

Update on La Roche-Posay Anthelios Melt-in Milk Face & Body Sunscreen Lotion SPF 100

Comment
La Roche Posay Anthelios Melt-In-Milk Sunscreen SPF 100

I tried La Roche-Posay Anthelios Melt-in Milk Face & Body Sunscreen Lotion SPF 100 again. I stopped using my moisturizer (Vanicream Daily Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin), and my skin became so dry and flaky. I needed a product that would moisturize my skin. The only product that came to mind was La Roche-Posay Anthelios Melt-in Milk Face & Body Sunscreen Lotion SPF 100 (that I have). My experience using it last time was very bad. You can read more about it right here. I’m still using a mineral sunscreen, and it’s been an unpleasant experience. It’s not the worst mineral sunscreen I’ve used, but it still leaves a white cast and dries my skin out like crazy (even though it’s a tad moisturizing, just not enough). With La Roche-Posay Anthelios Melt-in Milk Face & Body Sunscreen Lotion SPF 100, at least it’s moisturizing and has a SPF of 100. Here’s my experience with La Roche-Posay SPF 100 sunscreen again this time around!

My experience…

I was very hesitant about trying this sunscreen again. I could just go out and purchase a new sunscreen, but I wanted to see if this sunscreen would work first without using a moisturizer underneath. From what I remember, it’s moisturizing enough by itself. Also, I loved the way it felt on my skin. It’s so moisturizing with a high SPF of 100. So my last experience with this sunscreen was not good. I experienced burning eyes, a non-stop migraine, and clogged pores by the second day. It was one of those experiences where I thought I would never touch this sunscreen ever again. But, here I am, trying it out again just because I have it and don’t want to buy another sunscreen at the moment. Also, my skin is feeling extremely dry. I thought the sunscreen would help with the dryness in the meantime.

The first day of using this sunscreen went well, but I didn’t use it from morning to night. I only used it once in the evening. It was my last SPF application of the day. I didn’t experience any redness, itchiness, or any other skin irritations. My eyes burned a little bit but not by much. The burning sensation disappeared after a few minutes. I was able to wear the sunscreen.

The sunscreen felt soft in texture and smoothed over my facial skin easily. It feels very nice on the skin. Possibly one of the most softest and soothing sunscreens I’ve used so far. I really liked the texture and consistency of this sunscreen. It was perfect for me. Even though it’s super moisturizing on the skin, it does lean towards the greasy side, but I could deal with it because the sunscreen didn’t stick to my hairline or leak into my eyes. It melted into my skin when applied and stayed in place. The lotion isn’t messy to use. It feels like a quality sunscreen. I didn’t breakout the first time I used it either. It simply just left my skin feeling moisturized when applied and after rinsing it off. I was happy with the results.

I tried using the sunscreen again the next day. This time I was able to use it from morning until night. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out. I started to have issues. My eyes started to burn. They became red and watery. I couldn’t open them. I tried applying the sunscreen just on my face (avoiding the eye area), my eyes still burned. The smell of the sunscreen started to get to me. I also noticed my face warming up when using this sunscreen. Is this normal? Probably not. Seems like it’s not compatible with my skin. I stopped using it when I realized this sunscreen was giving me issues. That’s too bad. It works very well on my body but not my face. I tried it the second time, and it failed on my again. I can’t recommend this product as a face sunscreen. It may work for someone else, but it didn’t for me.

La Roche-Posay Anthelios Melt-in Milk Face & Body Sunscreen Lotion SPF 100

My Thoughts on La Roche-Posay Anthelios Melt-in Milk Face & Body Sunscreen Lotion SPF 100!

Comment
La Roche Posay Anthelios Melt-In-Milk Sunscreen SPF 100

I have a new sunscreen! ๐Ÿ˜Ž I picked up another La Roche-Posay sunscreen. It’s the La Roche-Posay Anthelios Melt-in Milk Face & Body Sunscreen Lotion SPF 100. I decided to go for SPF 100 instead of 50. Also, I decided to try a chemical sunscreen instead. I’m getting tired of the dryness and white cast from mineral sunscreens (in general). I love my zinc sunscreens, but the white cast is getting annoying for daily use, especially when my skin is dry and peeling. Everything gets magnified 10x more with mineral sunscreens. I can’t use a sunscreen that gives off a white cast when I’m in a professional setting. It just looks awful and embarrassing. But it’s a good choice if I’m at home lounging or going on hikes with friends. I don’t care if I have a white cast at that point. haha.

So this sunscreen is a broad spectrum sunscreen for the face and body. It helps to protect skin that burns easily and is oxybenzone-free. It contains Cell-Ox Shield with UVA/UVB protection and antioxidants. Fragrance-free. Water-resistant (80 minutes). The filters in this sunscreen are Avobenzone 3%, Homosalate 15%, Octisalate 5%, and Octocrylene 10%.

I haven’t used a 100% chemical sunscreen on my face for a while. I’ve been using a hybrid sunscreen and mineral sunscreen this whole year (so far). I had good results with La Roche-Posay Anthelios Body & Face Mineral Sunscreen Gentle Lotion. My skin didn’t burn at all. It’s the first time that I noticed that my freckles are fading and my skin just looks super amazing. Way better when I was using Canmake Mermaid Skin Gel UV SPF 50+ PA++++ by itself. But then, I’ve been reapplying sunscreen diligently and religiously. The fact that Canmake is not sweat or water-resistant may play a part too. I still like Canmake. It leaves my skin feeling silky, and I’m still using it because I can’t seem to let it go! lol. The texture of the sunscreen is like no other! It’ll work for winters but not for summers. It just doesn’t hold up in hot, humid, sweaty weather. It just doesn’t stick to the skin. So I hope to get good results with La Roche-Posay Anthelios Melt-in Milk Face & Body Sunscreen Lotion SPF 100! Hopefully no breakouts like the La Roche-Posay mineral sunscreen. Now on to my experience with La Roche-Posay Anthelios Melt-in Milk Face & Body Sunscreen Lotion SPF 100!

My Experience with La Roche-Posay Anthelios Melt-in Milk Face & Body Sunscreen Lotion SPF 100:

Texture & Application

This is a lotion (as it states on the bottle). The sunscreen feels thick when dispensed from the bottle. When applied to the facial skin, it feels soft and blends into the skin very easily. It just melts into the skin. They’re not lying when they called this sunscreen ‘melt-in milk’. It really does melt into the skin. The texture and consistency of the sunscreen makes it very easy to smooth the product across the facial skin. No tugging or pulling at the skin involved. Just smooth it over and blend it into the skin. I thought it was very easy to use. Even though the application is simple, the sunscreen doesn’t seem to absorb into the skin quickly. It didn’t on my skin, lol. It felt like some of the sunscreen absorbed and the rest just sat on top of my skin. Since this is a chemical sunscreen, there isn’t a white cast, obviously. That’s not something to worry about when it comes to chemical sunscreens. It wasn’t streaky either. As I said earlier, it just melts into the skin when applied.

Moisturizing & Alcohol-Free

It’s a moisturizing sunscreen. I was in awe how much it moisturized my skin, but my skin felt a little dry to begin with. It helped with dry patches and dry skin in general. Even though it felt moisturizing, I thought this sunscreen felt greasy on the skin. It’s moisturizing, but it made my skin look more shiny, greasy, and oily. Keep in mind that I do have oily skin (can get dry sometimes), but my skin is naturally oily. I think this sunscreen would work much better for someone with naturally dry skin or normal skin.

I was looking through La Roche-Posay sunscreens and most of them had alcohol in them. This one in particular is alcohol-free. I prefer sunscreens that don’t contain drying alcohols. My skin gets itchy, red, and super dry when I use skin care products that contain drying alcohols. Alcohol in skin care tends to accentuate every line on my face too. That’s why I don’t use skin care products with alcohol. I’m glad this one doesn’t have it. The other sunscreen that use from La Roche-Posay doesn’t have it either (La Roche-Posay Anthelios Body & Face Mineral Sunscreen Gentle Lotion).

Breakouts? Other issues?

I didn’t notice any breakouts the first day, but I noticed breakouts on the second day. I developed one cyst, clogged pores, and a few more bumps. I didn’t doubt the breakouts. Once I saw the acne, I rinsed the sunscreen off ASAP. I think this sunscreen is way too heavy and greasy for my skin type, which is oily and acne-prone. It just sits on top of my skin and suffocates it. ๐Ÿ˜ญ I also noticed that this chemical sunscreen felt warmer on my skin compared to what I usually use (mineral sunscreen). It’s just an observation. I could feel my face warming up after application. Maybe I’m not used to chemical sunscreens yet. I’ve been off of them for a while now (or my skin can’t handle them, who knows). With this sunscreen, there were some other issues besides acne I should touch up on like my eyes burning and headaches. This sunscreen burned my eyes. I could barely keep my eyes open. I tried avoiding the eye area when applying and my eyes were still watery. It must be the fumes from this sunscreen. It just seeps into the eyes. I also noticed headaches. I started developing a migraine out of nowhere. I didn’t link it to the sunscreen until I stopped using it. That’s when my eyes stopped becoming watery and headaches disappeared. Seems like I just can’t use this sunscreen on my face. I have no issues using it from the neck down or even on my ears. Just not my face.

Final Thoughts

I really liked the idea of this sunscreen. The texture of the product is soft and smooth. It’s has a very nice consistency that just blends into the skin with little effort. It moisturized my skin and didn’t accentuate dry skin or acne. SPF 100 is nice to have. But it’s unfortunate that it caused acne, burning eyes, and headaches. The days using this sunscreen was pure torture. I couldn’t take it anymore. It’s just so irritating. I went back to my hybrid and mineral sunscreens. All of these issues just went away once I returned to my usual sunscreens. I really wished this one worked out for me, but it is what it is. I’m not going to keep using a product that irritates my eyes, skin, and gives me migraines. I’ll be on the search for another chemical sunscreen that’s more suitable for me. For now, I’ll stick to what works (minerals).

My Thoughts on SOME BY MI Niacin 30 Days Miracle Brightening Sleeping Mask After Finishing My First Jar!

Comment
Some By Mi Yuja Niacin Brightening Sleeping Mask

I finished a whole jar of SOME BY MI Niacin 30 Days Miracle Brightening Sleeping Mask! It took a little over 2 months to finish a whole jar. I used it in the morning and at night to help moisturize my skin a little more. I didn’t have any issues with it compared to another SOME BY MI product that I tried — SOME BY MI Yuja Niacin Brightening Moisture Gel Cream (read!!). After 2 months of using this sleeping mask, here are my thoughts on it!

This is a nice watery-gel moisturizer. It’s supposed to be used only at night, but since I didn’t have any issues with it (breakouts, redness, other skin irritations), I used it twice a day. I just take a dab of the moisturizer and gently pat it into my skin. This moisturizer soaks into the skin very nicely. It just absorbs into the skin and feels calming, cooling, and soothing on the skin. It feels very refreshing! I always look forward to using it. I just love the way it feels on my skin. As for moisture, it’s not the most moisturizing skin care product, but it gives my skin some moisture. I do have oily skin and have trouble handling heavier, richer moisturizers, so this gel moisturizer works perfectly fine on my skin. It doesn’t leave my skin looking shiny, greasy, or oily. As I said before, it just sinks into the skin while leaving the skin feeling somewhat hydrated.

With this product, it’s just not only the hydration that I’m after (even if it’s just some hydration). I love the ingredients in it too. I think I mentioned this before in another post that I wrote about SOME BY MI Niacin 30 Days Miracle Brightening Sleeping Mask. The ingredients in it are very nice. It contains citrus junos fruit extract (70.5%), niacinamide (5%), panthenol, and jojoba seed oil, hippophae rhamnoides fruit extract, arbutin, glutathione, ascorbic acid, and biotin. And it looks like the ingredients/formula of this product is compatible with my skin type. I have experienced NO clogged pores while using it. YAY! As for results, I noticed my skin looking brighter every time I use it. I’ve tried a bunch of other skin care products that contain niacinamide and none of them worked to improve my complexion. This one worked on my skin! It helps to brighten my skin and hopefully helps to fade acne marks and dark spots along the way.

So it’s only been 2ish months of using the moisturizer, but I’m very excited what results it may bring in the next couple of months. I’m ready to pop open a new jar! Cheers!! ๐Ÿฅ‚

Here’s my empty jar of the product and a new, freshly opened product! I’m so excited! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

3 Week Update on Alpha Skin Care Intensive Renewal Serum!

Comment
Alpha Skin Care Intensive Renewal Serum

I just finished up 3 weeks on Alpha Skin Care Intensive Renewal Serum! So close to heading into a month! So if you missed out on my updates on Alpha Skin Care Intensive Renewal Serum, don’t forget to go check them out!

Starting Alpha Skin Care Intensive Renewal Serum!

After 1 Week of Alpha Skin Care Intensive Renewal Serum! My Results!

When I first started using Alpha Skin Care Intensive Renewal Serum, I was very excited and had very high hopes. I really wanted this serum to improve my skin. I’ve used so many skin care products that I haven’t found something that’ll make a difference and change my skin for the better. After a night of using the serum, I noticed a change in my skin the next morning. My skin looked so much softer, smoother, and more refined. My pores looked smaller. This serum also helped with acne too. I had some skin purging going on. But after around 2 weeks, those pimples went away. This serum did help with blackheads at first, but I noticed that the effect was temporary. It didn’t truly help with blackheads on my nose in the end. I could still see them. But I really liked how Alpha Skin Care Intensive Renewal Serum transformed the overall quality of my skin. It just looks so much more glowy and youthful. My skin is soooo smooth!!! ๐Ÿ˜

The first 2 weeks using this serum was pretty amazing. I fell in love with the product and the results that it gave me in that short amount of time. But after 3 weeks, the results plateaued. My skin still looked good as in it looked soft and smooth, but it didn’t do much for my acne anymore. I was hoping that it’ll help with acne maintenance due to its ability to exfoliate the skin. I just didn’t see improvements in my acne during the 3rd week. I was using it twice a day too, in the morning and at night. As I mentioned in my earlier updates, this glycolic acid serum is more on the gentle side. It says that it contains 14% glycolic acid, but it honestly doesn’t feel like it. I find this serum more moisturizing than drying. But that could just be my skin type. I have oily skin. Since it didn’t do much for my acne, I stopped using it twice a day and stuck to nights only. Eventually I stopped using it since I wasn’t seeing much results from this serum. I guess I decided to take a break from it. I’m not sure if I’m going to keep it in my routine. Maybe use it a few times a week at night at most. We’ll see what happens…
