January Skin Care Empties!

Mizon Peptide Ampoule Cream

Here are my January 2023 skin care empties! 🎉

Mizon Peptide Ampoule Cream:

I finished Mizon Peptide Ampoule Cream! This cream did nothing for my skin. I’m glad I’m done with it. This cream contains ingredients, such as (to name a few) cocoa extract, sodium hyaluronate, copper tripeptide-1 (20 ppm), centella asiatica extract, beta-glucan, cranberry fruit extract. The ingredients are nice, but I didn’t see any changes in my skin. It’s just another moisturizer. I didn’t think it kept my skin that moisturized either. It’s a very lightweight cream. I used almost all of it on my neck and chest area. As mentioned in my previous review, the product irritated my eyes. I couldn’t continue to use it on my face. It contains lavender oil, which I thought was very irritating. I really don’t like products that contain lavender oil. It gives me mad migraines. This is possibly one of the worse products I have encountered and tried. I won’t ever purchase it again. Once again, it’s a waste of money. No results.

Purito Centella Green Level Eye Cream:

I finished my last tube of Purito Centella Green Level Eye Cream. I’m so happy that I’m done with it. I have no intentions in purchasing it again. I didn’t see any results while using it. I’ve gone through so many tubes of this eye cream too. The ingredients looked soooo good! It contains centella asiatica extract, shea butter, peptides, madecassic acid, and so much more! But, it didn’t do anything for fine lines and wrinkles. It didn’t feel moisturizing either. I prefer eye creams that are thick, rich, and moisturizing. The skin around my eyes become dehydrated quick. This eye cream didn’t do it for me.

Cosrx Oil-Free Ultra-Moisturizing Lotion (with Birch Sap):

I’m finally on my last bottle of Cosrx Oil-Free Ultra-Moisturizing Lotion (with Birch Sap). I finished a bottle this month. Yay! I’m not a fan of this moisturizer. It feels lightweight and lightly moisturizes the skin. It doesn’t do much for my skin. I didn’t see improvements in the texture or moisture in my skin. It smells very nice though. It smells citrus-y and contains tea tree oil in it. I’m just not impressed with this moisturizer to use it daily on my face. The bottle/packaging of this product is very annoying. Product gets stuck inside the bottle and there’s no way to get it out. Seems like a waste of product. I can’t wait to finish my last bottle. Another product that I won’t be purchasing again. I’ve been using it as a body moisturizer. It’s not doing a great job moisturizing the skin on my body either. At least it’s not breaking me out or causing any other skin issues.

Benton Fermentation Essence:

I’ve been waiting to finish Benton Fermentation Essence for ages. This essence contains beneficial skin care ingredients like galactomyces ferment filtrate, bifida ferment lysate, ceramide np, aloe barbadensis leaf extract, panthenol, sodium hyaluronate, and so many more. The product is lightweight and sinks into the skin quickly. It leaves the skin feeling soft and silky after application. I didn’t see results using it though. I’ve gone through bottles of this essence with little results. It feels like I’m applying water to my skin. When I was using it, I noticed that it had shimmering sparkles in it. Just an observation. I won’t purchase this essence again. It was nice to try it out for a while. It’s officially done. Moving on..

The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG:

I still have a bunch of The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG left. Another bottle of this caffeine eye solution down (more like a gel eye care product). So I didn’t use this product for the eye area. I used the rest of it on my body. I find that this eye product dries out my eye area and didn’t do anything for the skin around my eyes. I didn’t see any changes in dark circles or fine lines/wrinkles. It just didn’t do anything that I stopped using it. Also, it was very drying even with moisturizer and pilled with other skin care products. I didn’t think it was worth it. I’m still using what I have left on my body. What else to use it for? I can’t wait to finish this product. Let’s see how long it takes, lol.

iUNIK Beta-Glucan Power Moisture Serum:

I finished my last bottle of iUNIK Beta-Glucan Power Mositure Serum! Yessssssss!!! This serum never worked on my skin. It dried my skin out rather than moisturize it. I’m glad I’m done with it. Being a product that contains very few ingredients, it contains only 6 ingredients in it (Water, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Beta-Glucan, Sodium PCA), I thought it wouldn’t do my skin any harm. Nope, it made my skin feel soooo dry! I would wake up the next morning with red, dry, irritated skin. Ugh! I thought it was doing my skin some good at first. No, not at all. I’m not going to purchase it again. There’s nothing really special about this product. It didn’t work for me.

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream:

I finished one of my bottles of First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Creams. It took me about almost 2 months to finish it. I didn’t hold back using this cream. I made sure I used it every night and whenever my skin was dry. After finishing my first bottle, my thoughts on this product is the same as before. It’s a creamy, thick, moisturizing cream, but I can’t use it on my facial skin. I used all of it on my body after realizing that it clogs my pores and gives me blackheads. It worked great on my legs. Left my skin feeling moisturized and protected. It absorbs fast too and doesn’t leave a sticky residue behind. It worked great on my body. It’s just not meant for my face. Would I purchase it again? It’s still a no, but I have one more tube of this cream left to try. Let’s see if it changes my mind!

Canmake Mermaid Skin Gel UV SPF 50+ PA++++:

I’m so close to finishing the rest of my Canmake Mermaid Skin Gel UV SPF 50+ PA++++ sunscreens! I have 3 left (including the new one I recently just opened!). I’m not currently using this sunscreen on my face right now. I was trying it out again on my face, but that didn’t work out. My skin dried out once again. Even when I used a mositurizer underneath, my skin didn’t like it at all. I love how it’s lightweight, absorbs quick, and doesn’t leave the skin feeling sticky and tacky. It feels like I don’t even have sunscreen on compared to the other sunscreens I use. But, from my experience using it so far, it doesn’t agree with my skin. It’s so drying and makes my skin feel terrible. It doesn’t provide good protection either. My skin tanned while using it. I reapplied consistently throughout the day too. That didn’t help with the dryness either, LOL. My skin looked so flaky and chapped. I’ll finish what I have. Most likely as a body sunscreen.

Update on Benton Fermentation Essence & The Ordinary Matrixyl 10% + HA & Melano CC Vitamin C Essence

Benton Fermentation Essence

It took me a while to stop using these products. I’ve been using them for a while and didn’t want to give them up out of familiarity. But, I think it’s time to pull the plug. Even though I love skin care products, I wondered if any of them are even working on my skin. I feel like I’m just flushing money down the drain sometimes. I decided to stop using these products. Read on to find out why. I stopped using these products the other day too. 👈🏻

Benton Fermentation Essence:

I’ve been using this product for over a year now. I really liked this essence. It’s lightweight, easily absorbed into the skin, and feels silky smooth on the skin. The only thing I really liked about this essence is how it feels on my skin. Other than that, it hasn’t done much for my skin. It contains Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate, Bifida Ferment Lysate, Ceramide NP, Aloe Extract, Betaine, Panthenol, Sodium Hyaluronate, and other skin care ingredients that are good for the skin. The ingredients look very nice, but I didn’t see much of a difference in my skin using it. It didn’t help boost skin’s elasticity and moisture levels (as it claims to do). It gives the the skin lightweight hydration, but that hydration doesn’t last long. Only when applied to the skin. This essence just vanishes into the skin and didn’t improve my skin over time. It just felt like putting expensive water on my face. It actually feels like I’m applying just water to my face. This essence when dispensed, shoots out straight liquid. Make sure to dispense it into the palm or it’ll get everywhere. This was one of my favorite essences for some time, but I didn’t see any good results with continued use. As I mentioned earlier, I just like the way it feels on my skin. But, I don’t think it’s worth it to keep it around for that reason.

The Ordinary Matrixyl 10% + HA

The Ordinary Matrixyl 10%:

Here goes another The Ordinary product that I’m removing from my skin care routine! Here are some others that I removed recently:

The Ordinary Argireline Solution 10%

The Ordinary Ascorbic Acid 8% Alpha Arbutin 2%

The Ordinary Resveratrol 3% Ferulic Acid 3%

Now it’s The Ordinary Matrixyl 10%. So this is a thicker serum. The texture of the serum is gel-like. When applied to the skin, I don’t like how it feels on my skin, but the serum absorbs into the skin pretty well. It doesn’t leave any sticky residue behind once it sinks into the skin. I was able to use it twice a day without any issues like pilling or stickiness. The serum is supposed to help with signs of aging, such as fine lines. It contains Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38, and Sodium Hyaluronate. This is another skin care product with beneficial skin care ingredients, but from my experience using this product, I didn’t notice any changes in fine lines including other wrinkles (as it claims). I don’t think it did anything for my skin. I’ve gone through several bottles of this serum. I kept using it because I was just hoping for the best. I really liked the ingredients in this serum too. It seems so promising. But, I think it’s time to remove it from my routine and see what happens. I don’t want to keep using a product that does absolutely nothing just because. I just haven’t seen any results using it.

Rhoto Melano CC Vitamin C Essence

Melano CC Vitamin C Essence:

I was going to keep Melano CC Vitamin C Essence in my routine, but I decided to remove it. This essence did help to brighten the overall complexion of my skin (subtly, nothing major), but it didn’t help with acne marks or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. I still noticed acne marks on my face while using this vitamin c essence, and I’ve been using it for years too. It should’ve done something by now, but I have seen zero changes in my acne marks. With the Melano CC Vitamin C Essence, I wasn’t impressed with the overall results. It’s OK. Nothing amazing. What’s great about this product is the packaging. It’s sealed and easy to travel with. I can bring it with me wherever I go easily without spilling the contents. But, since this essence hasn’t done much for my skin over the years, I’m just using it because I have it, and it’s much better compared to other vitamin c serums that I’ve tried in terms of texture. It’s lightweight, oily but not too oily, and absorbs into the skin decently. After seeing very little benefits from this product, I think it’s time to move on from it. It’s time to let go, lol. Instead of keeping the Melano CC Vitamin C Essence around, I decided to swap it out with another vitamin c product. It’s the vitamin c powder. A vitamin c powder contains only one ingredient while the Melano CC Vitamin C Essence has a lot more ingredients (compared to a vitamin c powder). I wanted to keep things simple. Also, vitamin c powder is more affordable too. I’ve been using vitamin c powder, and it’s been working just fine.

August Skin Care Empties! 🧴

Cosrx Galactomyces 95 Tone Balancing Essence

Here are some products I finished in the month of August! These products are no longer with me! Finally. 😆 I’ve been trying to finish them since forever. It’s about time that they’re done and gone. They were taking up a lot of space too. haha. I still have a bunch more skin care products to use up. I’ll talk about them some other time. Today, here are my thoughts on what I’ve finished! Enjoy! 🙂

Cosrx Galactomyces 95 Tone Balancing Essence:

I finally finished Cosrx Galactomyces 95 Tone Balancing Essence. It’s a moisturizing essence, but I don’t need it. I didn’t see any changes using it on my facial skin. It’s simply just moisturizing. Nothing special. It didn’t brighten up my skin either. It didn’t make it more radiant or clear. I prefer other moisturizers and essences compared to this one. In my opinion, the Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence is so much better in terms of moisture. The Snail Essence also leaves the skin feel and looking more moisturized and dewy. It has definitely helped boost moisture in my skin in combination with other moisturizers I use. My skin prefers it over the Galactomyces Essence.

Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Lotion SPF 15:

This is a moisturizing sunscreen (SPF 15) that’s very gentle on the skin. It absorbs nicely into the skin. Leaves my skin feeling very moisturized. But, I couldn’t use it on my face. It’s too pore-clogging and way too moisturizing. I had issues with it on my facial skin. I ended up using it only on my neck and upper chest. Once I finished it, I knew I wasn’t going to purchase it again. SPF 15? Pore-clogging? No thanks. There are better sunscreens out there. This one isn’t worth my time and money.

Cos De BAHA MA Peptide Facial Toner:

I had this facial toner for a while. It’s a gel-like, moisturizing facial toner. It’s not your typical drying facial toner. I liked the ingredients in this toner. It contains sodium hyaluronate, peptides, beta-glucan, adenosine, and so much more. But I didn’t notice much of a difference in my skin while using it. All it really did was moisturize my skin for a short period of time. It doesn’t provide long-lasting moisture in the skin. I stopped using it on my face because I thought it was an extra step for little benefits. Now I’m glad I’m done with it. Out it goes!

La Roche-Posay Lipikar Balm AP+ Intense Repair Moisturizing Cream:

I received this product as a sample. It’s a moisturizing cream that’s supposed to reduce dry, rough skin. Honestly, it felt like any other moisturizer that I’ve used. I can’t tell if it provided more hydration than my other moisturizers/creams. But it didn’t irritate my skin. It left my skin feeling moisturized just like my other moisturizers. This cream contains shea butter, niacinamide, and glycerin, which I do love besides the niacinamide. My skin doesn’t care for niacinamide so I learned after using products with niacinamide. I thought this cream was OK. I don’t think I’m going to purchase the full-size product any time soon. It was nice to use for the time being or at least try it out.

Graymelin Pineapple Mild Peeling Gel:

This is a peeling gel that I was very excited about at first. After using it and finishing the whole tube, it’s not worth it at all. This product didn’t do anything for my skin. It’s so gentle and doesn’t really exfoliate the skin. I had noticeable dead skin on my face and thought this product could help. Nope, it did not. It did absolutely nothing. I still had dead skin hanging off of my face afterwards. Ugh, I can’t recommend this product to anyone. No results. Honestly, in my opinion, peeling gels are just for fun. It doesn’t do anything for the skin. On my skin, at least I didn’t see any benefits. I won’t purchase it again.

CeraVe Moisturizing Cream:

I finally finished all of my CeraVe Moisturizing Creams. I didn’t use it on my face due to fear of closed comedones. CeraVe and my skin don’t go well together either from my past experiences with the brand. I’ve tried plenty of their products too. So I used the CeraVe Moisturizing Cream as a body lotion instead. The cream feels lightweight, but it does leave some sort of thin film behind on the skin that I didn’t like. I didn’t think it left my skin feeling super moisturized either. To me, there was nothing special about it. I love some of the ingredients in the cream, but it didn’t deliver in the end. I was just using it to finish the product. In my opinion, I think this cream is overhyped. I won’t purchase again any time soon. I’m glad I’m done with it. It’s time to move on.

Update: My Moisturizing Skin Care Products

Comment
Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence

Since I’ve removed a ton of skin care products from my skin care routine (thank goodness!!!), I’ve rounded up what moisturizing skin care products I have left. Well, look at that, about 7-8 products. I mean, it’s not the most minimal, but it’s much better compared to what I was doing before. To think of it, I’m just laughing my butt off because there is such a thing as too much. What I was doing was too much. It wrecked havoc in my skin, and it was also taking up a lot of space in my bathroom. ha! So! These are the moisturizing skin care products I’m using. There’s a chance that I might even remove more products if I don’t see results from them or don’t need them. Time will only tell. 🙂

Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence

Before I get into Cosrx Snail Essence, I did remove Cosrx Hyaluronic Acid Hydra Power Essence from my routine. Cosrx Hyaluronic Acid Hydra Power Essence is just a basic hyaluronic acid product. There’s not much to call home about it. Nothing about it stood out to me when I was using it. Even though it’s an essence, it feels more like a gel. It would come out in blobs and feel a bit sticky. So I didn’t think I needed it anymore, since I have other products that contain hyaluronic acid. This ingredient is like everywhere. It would just be too redundant keeping it in my routine. It’s also not that moisturizing. I wasn’t impressed by it. I think it’s time for me to stop spending money on this stuff.

Now on to Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence…

Between the hyaluronic and snail essence, I prefer the snail essence. It’s lightweight and absorbs into my skin very well. It’s perfect for my oily, problematic skin. And I only use a single drop for the whole face in the morning and at night. It’s a little bit more moisturizing compared to the hyaluronic acid, in my opinion, but not by much. I need some moisture in my routine, so I decided to stick with the snail essence rather than the hyaluronic acid essence. This is the only snail essence I’m using too. If I could find a better snail essence product, I would switch because the packaging of this product irks me.

Cos De BAHA MA Peptide Facial Toner

I didn’t think I would like this facial toner. It’s called a toner, but it’s really a gel. It also comes in a 200 mL bottle compared to my Cosrx essences that are only 100 mL. It’s a pretty good deal for a gel moisturizing product. I haven’t had any issues with it. I’ve been using it twice a day without developing any breakouts like blackheads and cysts. It’s not the most moisturizing, since it’s a gel, but I need some type of moisture and this seems to do the trick for the moment. The ingredients are pretty good too. It contains aloe, betaine, sodium hyaluronate, matrixyl 3000, peptides, beta-glucan, and so on. Just looking at the ingredients makes me think how redundant these ingredients are in a lot of my skin care products. So far, with this product, I like it, I’ll keep using it.

Benton Fermentation Essence

This is one of my favorite skin care products. I love, love, LOVE this essence!!! 💗 It contains galactomyces ferment filtrate, bifida ferment lysate, sh-oligopeptide-1, and ceramide np. Love the ingredients! The product does come out as a liquid. Once again, I know I mentioned this several times in the past, the product shoots out straight from the pump. Make sure to shoot it in the palm of your hand! As for the product itself, it feels liquid-like and silky, and it goes on the skin feeling soft, smooth, and silky too. It’s another essence that isn’t that moisturizing, but since I have oily skin, it’s decent. I haven’t had any breakouts from it either.

Hada Labo Gokujyun Premium Lotion

This is my main hyaluronic acid product. I like it much more compared to Cosrx’s hyaluronic acid essence. It contains different types of hyaluronic acid. When dispensed, it comes out as a gel. I don’t need a lot of product to cover my whole face either. Just 1-2 drops of product. It’s more moisturizing too and makes my skin look super glowy and dewy. Feels a little bit sticky though. That’s not a huge issue as of yet, lol. Just like other gel moisturizing products, it’s not as moisturizing compared to a cream. I think I’ve accepted that by now. I rather have some moisture than breakouts caused by using a heavier, richer product. This one works pretty well. I like it.

Purito Centella Green Level Buffet Serum

I started using Purito Centella Green Level Buffet Serum again last year to heal my skin. My skin was such a mess from a bunch of stuff going on. I wasn’t happy with my skin, and it needed to be repaired and needed time to heal. Since this serum contains centella, ceramide np, sodium hyaluronate, asiaticoside, asiatic acid, madecassic acid, peptides, and a bunch of other skin care goodies, this serum looked like it could repair and heal skin. I don’t remember it burning my skin in the past when I used it, so I decided to use it again. With this serum, it helped to provide some moisture (not the most moisturizing, again), but it was a product that helped to heal and repair my moisture barrier for the time being. After my skin healed, I decided to keep using it because it hasn’t done any harm to my skin. It lightly hydrates, provides my skin with healthy skin repairing ingredients and leaves my skin feeling, I guess, rather nice. It’s a nice serum to keep around for now. I think I’m going to keep it in my routine since I haven’t experienced breakouts or clogged pores.

SOME BY MI Yuja Niacin Brightening Moisture Gel Cream

I purchased this product on a whim without thinking much about it. I’m glad I did. I’ve been using it for nearly half a year already. Around there. Once again, like all of the moisturizing gels, it doesn’t moisturize the skin too well. I have oily skin, so that doesn’t bother me too much. I just don’t want to get breakouts or bad acne from a moisturizing product, which happens way too often. Fortunately, this gel moisturizer hasn’t broken me out at all. Yay! I remember using it for the first couple of weeks and it brightened my skin. I’m on my second jar of the product, and I don’t think my skin is any brighter. I was hoping that it’ll help get rid of some acne marks, but I haven’t noticed that either. I feel like the best thing for me to do to get rid of acne marks is to simply eat a healthy diet and let the acne marks fade on their own. I haven’t encountered a product that helped with acne marks yet, and I’ve used plenty. Let’s see what this product can do. I’m almost done with my second jar. I don’t mind using it or having it in my routine right now.

The Ordinary Amino Acids + B5

Look what I have! Yep, The Ordinary Amino Acids + B5! I remember this serum breaking me out last summer. This time, it seems to be going well! I haven’t had any breakouts from it! But it doesn’t leave my skin drenched in moisture like I wanted. It’s just another lightweight moisturizing serum with amino acids. But that’s OK! I decided to keep it in my routine because it’s very lightweight and hasn’t caused any issues. Also, it’s a super affordable serum too. With this serum, I only use 1-2 drops for my whole face and neck. It’s another product that’s going to last forever. I hope, haha! I can’t say much about the results besides the very lightweight moisture it provides. I’ll make another update when I’m done with the bottle.

***

I mentioned in another post that I am using Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream when I use my acne treatment to prevent my skin from drying out. Don’t forget to check out that post!

Another moisturizing product I removed (almost forgot this one!!) is Cosrx Oil-Free Ultra-Moisturizing Lotion (with Birch Sap). I debated if I should keep this product in my routine or not. Well, I decided to stop using it on my face. I think I have more than enough moisturizing products. Maybe a little too much still. I just feel like this moisturizing lotion, even though it doesn’t break me out and does moisturize my skin, is just another excess product that I don’t need. Also, I disliked the packaging of the product by a ton. I can’t seem to get to the very last drop no matter what. I’m not smashing bottles. lol. 😂

That’s all of my moisturizing skin care products. I might eliminate some of them if necessary. I’m not trying to complicate my life and skin care routine. But so far, this looks pretty good. Life has been so much easier just cutting out products. Plus, I haven’t spent a dime on a new skin care product as of late. It’s pretty shocking because I would throw my cash to try something new, lol. This is a nice change in life. ✨

Which Galactomyces Is Right For You?

Comment
Galactomyces Skin Care

I have three galactomyces products in my routine. I thought I would just use them all. It’s better to use them than not use them. I really don’t like wasting skin care products. It has to be used, lol. So I started with Benton Fermentation Essence first to see if it works. Next, Purito Galacto Niacin 97 Power Essence. Lastly, Cosrx Galactomyces 95 Tone Balancing Essence. I thought galactomyces gave me acne when I used it before, but it turns out that I haven’t had any new acne or clogged pores from galactomyces. I’m very happy about the outcome after trying it again. So, I’m using all three in my routine. Am I going to continue to use all three? Probably not. But each galactomyces product is very different from one another. They have differences but also similarities. I’m here to breakdown each product and compare them. The pros and cons of each. This way, you can choose which one works best for you if you’re interested in galactomyces and its benefits!! Let’s start off with the Benton Fermentation Essence! 🙂

Benton Fermentation Essence:

This is the first galactomyces skin care product I reintroduced into my skin care routine. My experience with it was terrible when I used it sometime last year. I developed really bad acne. Lots of blackheads out of the blue. My skin was covered in blemishes after adding this essence into my routine. This time, nope, nothing. I haven’t experienced any breakouts or blackheads at all from this essence. AMAZING!! I’ve always wanted this essence to work due to the ingredients it contains. It has galactomyces ferment filtrate, bifida ferment lysate, ceramide, aloe barbadensis leaf extract, panthenol, sodium hyaluronate, peptide, to name a few. The texture of the essence is what gets me. It’s a liquid, but the texture and consistency of the product is soft, silky, and smooth. It just leaves the skin feeling so soft to touch. It glides over the facial skin so nicely. Feels very lightweight on the skin. It also absorbs into the skin very quick. It leaves the skin feeling pampered and more youthful-looking. This essence is definitely my favorite out of the three. 🥰 With all the positives, there are the negatives. The pump applicator is annoying. The pump shoots out straight, so make sure you’re aiming directly into your palm, lol. Also, it only provides lightweight temporary hydration. You’ll have to find another moisturizer to actually keep the skin moisturized.

Purito Galacto Niacin 97 Power Essence:

Here’s another galactomyces essence that is lightweight and absorbs into the skin well. You know, I wasn’t going to start using this essence again, but I didn’t want to waste it. I had a full bottle of the essence, so I thought I would use it anyways. So this essence contains 92% galactomyces ferment filtrate, 5% niacinamide (yay!), bifida ferment lysate, lactobacillus ferment, and other ingredients like arginine and adenosine, which are really good for the skin too. The ingredient list is very short and simple. You know exactly what you’re getting into. As for results, this is the only galactomyces essence that has brightened my skin (most likely from the 5% niacinamide it contains). I noticed a brightening effect in my skin very quick. My overall complexion just looked more glowy and more even toned. Even though I liked the results, I’m not sure if it’s something I want to use long term. I still have time to figure this out because I have one more bottle of this essence left. Ugh! Yeah, I purchased one too many. BUT! I shall update on my progress as I continue to use the product. Overall, it’s nice galactomyces essence that helps to brighten the skin. I didn’t have any acne breakouts from it. All is going well so far!

By the way, this essence helped to decrease the excess sebum in my skin. From experience, this essence would be more suitable for someone with oily skin, but it could work for other skin types too. Sometimes I thought it was a bit drying, but it didn’t bother me too much. It seemed to work for my skin due to the oily nature of it. It’s oily most of the time, haha.

Cosrx Galactomyces 95 Tone Balancing Essence:

This is a pretty simple galactomyces essence. Just like the Purito Galacto Niacin 97 Power Essence. The ingredient list is also pretty short and simple. It contains galactomyces ferment filtrate, niacinamide, sodium hyaluronate, betaine, panthenol, to name a few. So this galactomyces essence feels lightweight on the skin. It sinks into the skin nicely and actually leaves the skin feeling moisturized. Hydration from this essence doesn’t last for long though, but it gives the skin some moisture (in an instant). With this essence, I didn’t feel or visually see improvements in my skin. It contains niacinamide, but I didn’t notice a brightening effect or a more even complexion (when compared to Purito Galacto Niacin 97 Power Essence). That was a huge disappointment. But, good news, no breakouts from this essence! Out of the three, this was my least favorite. I most likely won’t pruchase the Cosrx Galactomyces 95 Tone Balancing Essence again. I think it’s too plain for me, and it didn’t do much for my skin. I already have other moisturizers that I use that does an equal or better job at keeping my skin hydrated.

That’s an update on what I think about the galactomyces skin care products I’m using. I hope this was helpful. If you missed out on my past posts on galactomyces, I’ve provided the links below. Enjoy. ✨
