But, I moved in another direction. I was using benzoyl peroxide (which cleared up a ton of my acne!) when I decided to use tret again. It was so random. It was out of the blue. I thought, hey, let’s give this another try again. I’ve tried so many acne skin care products to get rid of my closed comedones and acne in general. I have acne-prone skin, so I need to keep my zits in check. I only have a select few closed comedones left on my forehead, upper lip, and chin area. They seem to be concentrated in these areas while my cheeks are extremely clear. I have no acne there. Benzoyl peroxide did a great job, but I needed to push it even further. Yes, I’m back to using tret. I’ve been on the lower strengths of tret for so long that I think it’s time to use the highest strength once again. I’ve had no results with the lower strengths. My acne did not budge. When I run my fingers over my facial skin, it feels bumpy. The bumps are not too visible to the naked eye, but I can feel them. I cringe every time I wash my face. I wish something as simple as 2% salicylic acid would work on my skin. Even a gentle salicylic acid face wash would be awesome. I’ve tried both of these and those darn closed comedones are still sticking around! So! Here I am using tret + benzoyl peroxide. I’m not using benzoyl peroxide at the same time as tret. I use it on my off days when necessary. If a pimple pops up or if I feel that need to use benzoyl peroxide all over, that’s what I’m going to do. I really do think benzoyl peroxide will always be a staple to treat my acne. It helps. But it seems like a combination of treatments would work better.

My Experience – 1st Application

I started using tret at the end of last week. I applied it directly to my skin and moisturized with Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin. I woke up the next morning with flaky skin. Skin looked a bit red. My face didn’t burn. Yay! No crazy signs of irritation. Then bam! The next day, my skin started to burn, itch, it looked darker compared to the rest of my neck/body. Ugh! It’s a tret burn! I knew I should’ve sandwiched! My skin burned when I applied Vanicream Facial Daily Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin or any other skin care products to my face. None soothed my red, irritated, burned skin besides CeraVe Healing Ointment. I used this product to heal my skin. I didn’t use it to slug. I used it more like a face mask. This worked to help diminish some redness, itchiness, irritated skin. My skin softened, looked silky smooth after I removed the CeraVe Healing Ointment from my skin (when using it as a face mask). It took about 3-4 days for my skin to heal. I gave my skin a rest for 4 days before starting tret again. My skin started to peel and shed during the rest days. I noticed new pimples popping up in my acne-prone areas. Tret gave me a big nodule on my chin. It’s the biggest pimple I have had in a long time. It’s red, swollen, and hurts upon touch. 😭 When will it go away? Who knows, lol. At night, I stuck to using La Roche Posay Toleriane Double Repair Matte Face Moisturizer for Oily Skin. It’s not the most moisturizing moisturizer. I eventually had to add Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence to add moisture to my skin. La Roche Posay Matte Face Moisturizer works better as an occlusive rather than a moisturizer. It dried my face out at times when used alone. With all that has happened after the first application, there’s good news. Tret removed all of the closed comedones on my forehead and most of the closed comedones on my upper lip and chin area. My skin looks so clear with some blemishes that will purge soon enough.

My Experience – 2nd Application

After 4 days of giving my skin a rest, I started using tret again. This time, I sandwiched. I used Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence and Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin before applying tret. After applying tret, I applied Cosrx Snail Mucin and Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin once more. This application seemed like a good idea at first, but with this method, I didn’t notice any changes in my skin like I did with the first application besides some redness and tenderness in my skin. No peeling. I took 3 days off for my skin to settle down even though my skin felt fine the next day. I’m pretty disappointed in the sandwich method because I just didn’t see an improvement in my acne at all. I actually noticed more acne (not from purging). I noticed random blackheads (on other parts of my face and nose) and more sebaceous filaments on my nose. Could it be the Snail Mucin Essence or Vanicream that’s breaking me out? Possibly. My skin didn’t look better or feel better after using these moisturizers with tret. I might try the Vanicream moisturizer alone or try out another moisturizer. I need to move on from this Vanicream crap, lol. These products (Snail Mucin Essence and Vanicream) may be messing up my skin. I also stopped using La Roche Posay Toleriane Double Repair Matte Face Moisturizer for Oily Skin. It’s not moisturizing. I didn’t see the point in using this product anymore. Terrible product if you’re looking for a moisturizer that actually moisturizes. I’m done with it for now once again, lol. I tried to make it work, but I’m left disappointed each time. It just doesn’t do anything for my skin. I rather just not using anything on my skin if it doesn’t improve my skin and doesn’t provide any moisture. It even dried out my skin. I really think it’s time for a new moisturizer after this experience. My skin’s just really picky when it comes to moisturizers, which makes it very difficult to find one. Hmmm, what to do… 🤔

That’s my first week experience! Stay tuned for next week to see what happens! 🙂

Review: La Roche Posay Toleriane Double Repair Matte Face Moisturizer for Oily Skin

Comment
La Roche Posay Double Repair Matte Face Moisturizer

I talked about having a new moisturizer, but I haven’t talked about it yet. My new moisturizer is the La Roche Posay Toleriane Double Repair Matte Face Moisturizer for Oily Skin. This moisturizer is supposed to help with all day hydration without shine, helps to repair the skin barrier after 1 hour, minimizes the size of visible pores, improves skin texture, and reduces fine lines. It’s oil-free, alcohol-free, fragrance-free, non-comedogenic (won’t cause breakouts), allergy-tested, and paraben-free. Did it work? I’ve been using it for 2 weeks. It’s not a large amount of time, but here are my current thoughts on this product!

My experience with La Roche Posay Toleriane Double Repair Matte Face Moisturizer for Oily Skin:

Texture & Application

The product feels soft and moisturizing when applied to the skin. It’s lightweight, thin, doesn’t feel heavy or greasy on the skin. It’s easy to smooth it over the face. I wouldn’t try to aggressively rub this moisturizer into the skin. It pills. To successfully apply this moisturizer, smooth it over the skin and pat it into the skin. Do not rub. I’ve actually prevented product pilling by following this method. The moisturizer helps to moisturize the skin, but it’s not the best moisturizer if you have dry skin. On the bottle, it says ‘For Oily, Combination Skin’. It truly is for oily, combination skin. I have oily skin, and this moisturizer wasn’t too bad. But, I couldn’t use it alone when using my acne products or chemical exfoliants. I had to add an essence or serum underneath the moisturizer, which helped to boost moisture in my skin. As for sebum-control, it somewhat helps to minimize oily skin but don’t rely on it to control excess oil. The oil-control when using this product is much better compared to other moisturizers I have tried.

Results…

All day hydration without shine?

It’s a lightweight moisturizer. It may not be enough moisture for some people. It actually did leave my skin looking shiny by the end of the day. My skin is always oily anyways, lol.

Repair the skin barrier after 1 hour?

This moisturizer is terrible at repairing the skin barrier. It’s way too lightweight and not moisturizing enough. When healing my skin barrier, I had to use another moisturizer. This one wasn’t moisturizing or rich enough.

Minimizes the size of visible pores?

No. I didn’t notice any minimization of visible pores.

Improves skin texture?

No. I didn’t notice an improvement in skin texture.

Reduces fine lines?

No. I didn’t notice a reduction in fine lines.

Breakouts?

It didn’t break me out. It feels lightweight when applied to the skin. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy or tacky. It contains beneficial skin care ingredients like betaine, niacinamide, ceramide np, and sodium hyaluronate. The oil absorbing powders are silica and perlite. I didn’t have any issues with the ingredients. I just wished that it was more moisturizing, was better at controlling excess sebum, and most of all, doesn’t pill. Overall, my skin tolerated this product pretty well when it comes to acne.

Final Thoughts

One of the moisturizers that actually worked on my skin! I didn’t have any skin irritations or breakouts from it. It didn’t clog my pores after using it for 2 weeks. I started off using it only at night. Tried using it in the morning. Now I’m using it twice a day, morning and night. I don’t use this moisturizer by itself. The reason why is because it’s not moisturizing enough as I mentioned so many times before. Whenever I use it as a stand alone moisturizer, my skin doesn’t retain that much moisture. So what I do is use an essence (can be a serum too, what worked for me just happened to be an essence) before I use the moisturizer. Each time I have done this, my skin feels nourished and moisturized. I have oily skin, so I don’t need too much moisture. Just enough for my skin to be happy. It’s disappointing that I didn’t experience other benefits that this moisturizer claims to do like repairing the moisturizer barrier after 1 hour, minimizing the size of visible pores, improving skin texture, and reducing fine lines. But, I haven’t found or used a moisturizer that does any of those things. I was just looking for a moisturizer that doesn’t clog my pores and moisturizes my skin. My skin just needed some moisture to not feel or look taut or dry at this time of the year. So this moisturizer works for the time being. The ingredients in this product isn’t too bad either. It contains beneficial skin care ingredients (ceramide np, niacinamide, sodium hyaluronate). I’m just really happy that I didn’t get breakouts using it.

This is what the moisturizer looks like. This is how much I usually use. It was a large pea-size, but it’s smoothed out. It seems to look much bigger in the photo, lol. I don’t need to use a lot of product to moisturize my face with this product. I wouldn’t want to anyways. It’ll just increase the chances of product pilling. Keep in mind that this moisturizer comes in a 75 mL (2.5 fl. oz.) bottle. I would also like to mention that the product was not filled all the way to the top of the bottle when it was new.

I Finally Tried CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser! Here’s My 1 Week Experience!

Comment
CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser

I picked up CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser! I’ve been thinking about trying this cleanser out for ages! I mean, years. I’ve read about it and heard good things about it. I’ve also seen pretty bad reviews on it too. Like how this cleanser gave people acne. 😲 The CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser was constantly on my mind. But, my experience with CeraVe products (cleansers in this case) have been pretty bad. I’ve tried the Hydrating Facial Cleanser and Foaming Facial Cleanser. Both of these cleansers did not cleanse my skin well. They both left residue on my skin, and I ended up breaking out in acne. I tried the Acne Foaming Cream Cleanser too. With this cleanser also, it didn’t clean my skin well and did nothing for my acne. What a waste. Now I’m using the Renewing SA Cleanser. Here are my day to day thoughts on this cleanser. I wonder if I’ll last a week. By the way, my previous cleanser is Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Cleansing Gel with Hyaluronic Acid Fragrance Free. Don’t forget to check out my review on that product! A new update on it coming up soon! The reason why I’m using CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser now is because I wanted something less drying. Yeah, so weird because the Renewing SA Cleanser has salicylic acid in it. But, it also contains ceramides to moisturize the skin. Neutrogena doesn’t have any of that.

Let’s start! Here’s my first day experience!

Day 1:

I started using the CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser at night. I debated for hours before taking the plunge. I was so hesitant and afraid of using this cleanser on my skin even though I purchased it already. Is it going to dry my skin out (contains salicylic, think it’s 0.5% or less than 1%). So, that’s not a high percentage. My bha liquid is 2%. I do pretty good on it too. Is the cleanser going to break me out? My skin is decent right now. I didn’t want to go through another breakout from this cleanser. Putting my fears away, I tried it. This cleanser is a gel. The pump/dispenser comes with a lock. Opening it was annoying. The first pump took a while to come out. I used 2 pumps for my whole face. It slightly lathered up and foamed with water. The product felt soft and soothing on my skin. I really enjoyed it. I loved the way it felt on my skin. Once I rinsed the cleanser off, my skin felt clean, a little moisturized, and not dry at all. It seems like CeraVe is more moisturizing than Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Cleansing Gel. Hmmmm! By the way, if you’re new to my blog, I have very oily skin that can become dehydrated fast. This cleanser wasn’t drying on my skin after a single use. Who knows what might happens the next day or in the next few days.

Day 2:

I thought to myself, should I use this cleanser twice a day or once a day? What to do? Since I’m already in it to win it, I decided to use it twice a day. Neutrogena was a tad bit drying too, but it cleaned my skin and didn’t cause breakouts. Not a bad cleanser, from my skin’s perspective. I used CeraVe this morning with good results. The cleanser actually is the foamy, lathery type of cleanser. Full-on foam all over my face! I loved it! It was a great experience. It’s been so darn long that I’ve experienced a cleanser this foamy and so lathery. I’m freaking excited! I massaged the cleanser into my skin and let it do its thing. Felt a bit tingly this time. I didn’t notice it the first time. Also, don’t open your eyes when using this cleanser, it burns. Once I rinsed it off, my skin felt clean but not tight or dry. My skin looked so glowy, smooth, and hydrated. Keep in mind, I’m not even using a moisturizer right now, and my skin didn’t even dry out. I won’t get my moisturizer until tomorrow (Day 3). Can’t wait! But my skin loved the results this morning. At night, the effect was the same! The cleanser left my skin feeling clean without drying my skin out. The difference is that I noticed some hard sebum plugs falling out of my pores. I was able to pick them out. Is my skin purging or is the cleanser clogging my pores? I don’t know yet. It’s only been 2 days. We’ll see what happens tomorrow.

Day 3:

I didn’t wake up to new breakouts this morning. I left the cleanser on my skin a little bit longer than usual to give the salicylic acid some time to do its job. My skin didn’t feel dry or tight from doing this. Once I washed my face, it felt the same as before. It felt clean. This cleanser is not drying out my skin at all (as of yet). It feels very nice. I love that it actually cleans my face. This is the first for a CeraVe cleanser. At night, I noticed some blemishes. Uh oh. 😲 They weren’t there this morning. The blemishes are in my breakout-prone areas like my chin. I’ve been dealing with closed comedones in that area of my face for years. I’m not getting new breakouts. Well, it doesn’t look like it. It looks like the pimples were already there and now moving up to the surface (so I hope!). I just hope that it’s just my skin purging. It’s only day 3, so it’s difficult to tell. I’ll have to keep using this product. But, so far, I’m really enjoying this face wash. It’s still not drying out my skin using it twice a day yesterday and today. Everything is going well so far. And guess what arrived today? My moisturizer! Now I have a moisturizer that I can use at night. I’m not sure if I’ll use it in the morning. We’ll see what happens. It’s nice to add some moisture back to the skin. 😌 It makes my skin look more healthy and balanced.

Day 4:

Let the purge begin!! I had one single pimple that came to a head this morning (chin area). It popped when I was washing my face, lol. I thought that was the only pimple I had. But, by night, I noticed more pimples. I had some closed comedones on my upper lip and more on my chin. Those closed comedones moved up and turned white. I developed one cyst. It was a tiny pimple. Now it’s a gigantic cyst. So, from what’s going on, it looks like my skin is purging. It took 4 days to reach this stage. I mean, I noticed some pimples days before, but now they’re really turning into actual pimples. Much bigger ones. Whiteheads and one cyst. I really hope this is a short purge and not just breaking out. I’ll stick it out. I’m already 4 days in. I was really generous with the cleanser at night too, lol. I’m so glad I purchased the value size, haha. After cleansing my skin at night, that cyst shrunk in size. It seems like it’s working.

Day 5:

I woke up with a new pimple on my cheek. I wonder where that came from. It appeared out of thin air! I also noticed some on the side of my face and forehead. Just tiny little ones. They’re more like hard sebum plugs. I could easily pick them out. So the pimples that popped up yesterday have reduced in size dramatically. That one cyst from yesterday isn’t swelling as much anymore and diminished in size even more too. CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser still leaves my skin feeling clean and doesn’t dry out my skin, but I feel like there’s thick layer of dead skin on my face. I might have to add an acne leave-on treatment into my skin care routine to remove the dead skin and to prevent pores from clogging. I haven’t used any since a week ago. I took a break to heal my skin. The salicylic acid in the CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser doesn’t seem to be enough. CeraVe doesn’t specify the percentage of salicylic, so I’m going to assume it’s a low percentage. Seems like it’s working to unclog my pores, but I need something stronger to tame my acne throughout the day. Lol, I was hoping that this face wash would do all of the work. I just hoped, haha.

I started using a 2% bha liquid tonight along with the CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser. To some this may be overkill, but my skin feels too moist. I wonder if it’s the new moisturizer I’m using. It’s a mattifying moisturizer too. I funny thing is that I didn’t think it felt too moisturizing on the skin. It sits on my skin pretty well and doesn’t leave my skin feeling or looking oily. So good, so far when it comes to not making my skin feel too heavy or greasy. Breakouts? Who knows! Another product I have in my routine is a vitamin c serum. This product could be causing breakouts too. I started using it almost around the same time as the CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser. So, I don’t know which product it is that could be causing breakouts. Hopefully it’s not CeraVe, haha. Between the two, I decided to stop using the vitamin c serum. I’m not a fan of the texture of the serum. Thankfully, that’s all I’m using on my skin besides sunscreen. My skin care routine is still minimal, which makes it easier to pinpoint what’s working and what’s not. Goodbye vitamin c. 👋🏻 For now.

Day 6:

When I was washing my face this morning, I noticed ZERO new pimples. I think I eliminated the product that was clogging my pores this whole time! Maybe it was part purging from CeraVe and part vitamin c serum clogging my pores. I was getting weird random breakouts in the past few days. Now, they’re gone! I used 2% bha liquid last night and this morning. I didn’t experience any dryness or irritation. No itchy skin. Before washing my face tonight (still using CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser twice a day!!), I didn’t notice any new breakouts. My skin looks good. What is this madness??!! lol. My skin is almost clear! I still have some tiny little closed comedones, but I have no new active pimples. No whiteheads, pustules, or cysts. That vitamin c serum really did me wrong. Now I have to see if my new moisturizer is working on my skin or not. I’ve used it 7 times already. It’s going well so far. I’m currently using it twice a day without any issues. Hopefully no breakouts from it. Skin looks pretty good at day 6, but I still have a long way to go!

Day 7:

It’s the 7th day using CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser. I’m still using it twice a day, morning and night. I made it to the 7th day! I didn’t expect this to happen. Usually my skin would have retaliated by now. So this cleanser seems to be working on my skin. I haven’t noticed any new pimples after ditching the vitamin c serum. The breakouts must’ve been from the vitamin c product rather than the CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser. That’s unfortunate to know, but I’m glad it’s been figured out. I can continue on with the CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser. With this cleanser, every time I use it, I notice an increase in skin brightening and glow to my skin. The cleanser hasn’t dried my skin out yet. It doesn’t seem like it will. It’s been 7 days of using it already. But, I’m going to keep my eye on my skin. My overall experience with the CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser has been good. It’s gentle, soothing, and moisturizing. There was a tingling sensation, but I haven’t experienced any of that as the days went on. My skin just looks better whenever I use this cleanser. I’m already thinking of making it my main facial cleanser if it keeps on working and doesn’t clog my pores!

That’s my 1 week experience with CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser! Stay tuned for my WEEK 2 experience. Coming up next week! I hope this was helpful. 🙂

Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream & Breakouts

Comment
Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream

I stopped using Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream. I was wondering where some of my closed comedones and random breakouts were coming from. I wondered if it was the Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream that was clogging my pores. The breakouts were either from Eucerin or Vanicream (my new moisturizer). I’ve been using the Eucerin face cream quite consistently. If you missed out on my first thoughts on Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream, click here. With the Eucerin cream, I was hoping that it would help lessen my dry skin problems while I was on my acne treatment. I didn’t have a good moisturizer during that time. I was using gels, essences, and serums, since my skin tend to have issues with heavier moisturizers and creams. It’s either a hit or miss. Mostly misses. I have oily skin that’s acne-prone and anything could potentially cause breakouts. Using Eucerin was unpredictable. I didn’t get breakouts for the first few weeks. Next thing you know it, I would get breakouts. But was it from Eucerin or something else? Hmmm! I kept using Eucerin because I didn’t think it could be the product that was clogging my pores, but I’m starting to think that it is. I’ve removed so many products from my routine and it all comes down to two products as I mentioned earlier — Eucerin or Vanicream (I hope it’s not this!!). I’ve been using my other skin care products for a good amount of time to know that it doesn’t cause acne. It’s between these two moisturizers. So, here I am eliminating another product from my routine. This is what happened when I stopped using Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream!

My skin felt and looked cleaner.

After I stopped using Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream, my face felt and looked cleaner, less greasy, and less heavy. The product was obviously way too thick and heavy for my skin type. It’s weird because it didn’t feel heavy on the skin once the cream absorbs. But the texture of the cream was heavy and greasy when applied to the skin. I could easily move the cream around on my face without tugging my skin. In a way, I can see why I continued to use the face cream. The texture was nice. It somewhat helped moisturize my skin compared to everything else I was using. It was the closest thing to a moisturizer that I had. When using the cream, it felt like I was moisturizing and pampering my skin. Since I’ve been spoiled by another moisturizer (Vanicream), I can definitely say that Eucerin doesn’t leave the skin feeling truly moisturized. My skin would appear cracked and dry after using it twice a day. The moisture didn’t last too long on the skin. Eucerin didn’t help heal damaged skin either. It’s not good at repairing and calming red, irritated skin. It only helped to moisturize the skin at the moment. It didn’t leave the skin feeling softer, smoother, or even silky afterwards. I didn’t see any positive changes in my skin while using it. My skin just didn’t feel moisturized in the end like it’s supposed to. The results didn’t last.

Did it help with wrinkles??

This face cream claims that it can reduce fine lines and wrinkles in as little as 5 weeks. From my experience, no, it didn’t help with fine lines and wrinkles in as little as 5 weeks. I’ve gone through plenty of jars. I’ve been using this face cream since the beginning of the year. I haven’t noticed a change in fine lines and wrinkles at all. None. The product contains shea butter, ubiquinone, vitamin e, biotin, and vitamin c, but it was just not effective. I didn’t see any improvements in the texture or quality of my skin, which was quite disappointing. If you’re searching for a face cream that works for fine lines and wrinkles, this may not be it. All I know is that it didn’t work for me. No results.

Goodbye breakouts. 👋🏻

As for the breakouts, I noticed closed comedones and other breakouts emerging from underneath the surface after a day of discontinuing the product. The breakouts put me in a panic because I didn’t want to breakout. Since I did develop some pimples, that got me thinking, has this cream been clogging my pores this whole time??!! Hmmm! 🤔 In about 2 days, the breakouts cleared up very quick. My skin began to take on a softer, smoother appearance. I examined my skin closely in the mirror. Wow, my skin looked clearer and way cleaner than before. It’s not greasy and oily anymore. No more acne? My skin is finally clear?? Indeed it was. A product that I thought was helping my skin was just breaking me out the whole entire time. Who knew! So if you’re consistently having clogged pores/breakouts, check all of your skin care products. It may be a product that you least suspect.

Final Thoughts

I’m pretty shocked that I fixed my skin just by eliminating Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream from my face routine. I was dealing with some stubborn acne that just wouldn’t go away. Now, they’re gone. The acne I was dealing with was caused by this face cream this whole time. I currently have no active acne after I stopped using Eucerin. My skin is clear. Finally. I still have a few jars of this cream left. Yeah, I picked up a few just in case I ran out. I thought it worked on my skin at that time, ha! Since I have a few extras, I’m using the face cream as an eye cream and neck cream to use them up. Honestly, I don’t even like it as an eye cream or neck cream anymore. The texture of the cream irks me sometimes. It doesn’t go on the skin clean. It’s more greasy than I previously thought. But, I have to live with it for now. I can’t believe I used it for so many months thinking it was working, lol. So after I finish them, no more. It was nice to try this cream, but it’s time to move on to something that’s more compatible with my skin type. Ahem, doesn’t clog my pores. I already have a new moisturizer and hope it works in the long run. I hope it’s not another Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream. I’m still crossing my fingers since the first day I started using it! My Results After Using Horse Cream on My Face for a Night!

Comment
GUERISSON 9 Complex Cream

So I used horse cream on my face last night. This cream right here: GUERISSON 9 Complex Cream!! I thought I would give it try and use it on my facial skin instead. When I first used the cream, I thought it was too rich, too thick, too heavy, and way too buttery for my oily, acne-prone skin. But I’ve dealing with dry, flaky skin lately. Even my Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream wasn’t helping with the dryness and flakiness. It made it very difficult to wear foundation. My skin looked worse. Every single little dryness was accentuated. I didn’t like that at all. So after a night of using this horse cream on my face, this is what happened…

In my last post on this horse cream, I mentioned that I’ve been using it as an eye cream and a neck cream only. And it’s been working amazingly for those areas. It leaves my eye area and neck feel oh-so-moisturized throughout the day. The cream has been working very well for me. Even though I like Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream, the horse cream takes it up a notch when it comes to moisture. It really, truly does replenishes the skin with a surge of moisture. My skin feels SO moisturized after adding it into my routine. So that’s one of the reasons why I decided to use it on my face. And of course, I have it, so why not just try it out!

When I was applying the cream to my face, I noticed that it has this silicone-feel to it, which was expected because the cream contains dimethicone, cyclopentasiloxane (twice!), and beeswax. It’s also not an oil-free cream. Obviously. It has horse fat/horse oil in it. Besides horse oil, it contains Bixa Orellana Seed Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, and Soybean Oil. With these ingredients, I was afraid that it might clog my pores. But, good news, it’s been a fortunate experience after a night of using this cream. I woke up today with skin that’s more hydrated, smoother, and softer in appearance. The difference was pretty big. My moisture barrier feels and looks so healthy! It simply works so much better compared to Eucerin! Why???????!! 😥 I believe it’s the HORSE FAT! This stuff is amazing!

But did it clog my pores??? Dun dun dun…

Not that I know of yet. I didn’t notice any breakouts this morning. Just hydrated, smooth, soft skin that looks really healthy and moisturized. My makeup (foundation) went on better and looked better on my skin. My skin IS glowing! This is just insane how my skin looks so good just by using this cream on my face. None of my other moisturizers could do this. It also softened some fine lines and wrinkles too. WOW, I’m stunned. It’s too good to be true. I’ll make a new update soon on what’s going on. I just hope it doesn’t break me out! I just found something that improves the quality of my skin and actually moisturizes and gets rid of dry, flaky skin!

Stay tuned for my next update! 😃👌🏻

My previous post on this horse cream is right here, don’t forget to check it out!!
