December Skin Care Empties 🎄
Here are my December skin care empties! 👇🏻
Cosrx Ultimate Nourishing Rice Overnight Spa Mask:
I thought I finished my last bottle of Cosrx Ultimate Rice Overnight Spa Mask, but I still have one more left. *sigh* I’ve been using this moisturizer on my body (not my face). My face can’t tolerate this product. I tried it so many times, and it failed each and every time. It’s just not compatible with my skin type no matter how much I want it to be. I love the niacinamide for the brightening effect, but it clogs my pores. This product contains sunflower seed oil, palm oil, and palm kernal oil. My skin hates oils in general. If they made an oil-free one, maybe I’ll give it a try. This moisturizer just didn’t work on my skin as I had hoped.
Coppertone Defend & Care Clear Zinc 50:
I have 2 bottles of Coppertone Defend & Care Clear Zinc 50. I finally finished my first bottle after a year. Don’t worry, it hasn’t expired. I’m using it indoors anyways on my hands (to finish it). For the face, this sunscreen is way too thick, way too white (ghost-like, leaves the skin powdery white), and it’s too heavy on the face for daily use. I tried it on my face before. It clogged my pores. It contains beeswax, which my skin doesn’t like. On the body, it works just fine. But, it does have a sunscreen smell to it that I don’t like. So, either way, I won’t purchase again after I finish my last bottle.
Cosrx Advanced Snail Peptide Eye Cream:
I finally finished my fourth bottle (last one!!) of Cosrx Advanced Snail Peptide Eye Cream! Andddd I won’t purchase it again. It’s a nice moisturizing eye cream, but it didn’t do much for my the skin around my eyes. I can’t tell if it helped to boost radiance, reduce under eye circles, or reduce puffy under eyes. I definitely can say that it didn’t help with fine lines and wrinkles. It just provided good moisture. From my experience and results, that’s all I’ve seen from this product after going through four bottles. It’s time to move on to something else if there is something else out there that works for under eye circles, eye puffiness, fine lines, and wrinkles.
Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin:
I finished a bottle of Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin this month. It’s a good moisturizer that moisturizes, hydrates, heals, protects, and soothes the skin. But, it didn’t work for me in the end (face). I was using it because I have no other moisturizer, and my skin was feeling flaky and dry. But then I realize how terrible this moisturizer is for my skin. I love that it moisturizes. It really does. I’ve never experienced moisturized skin like this before. It’s just that, this moisturizer clogs my pores. I think it’s the squalane. I can’t even use pure squalane oil without it clogging my pores. Since I have a few left, I’m currently using it as an eye cream and on my neck to use it up.
Purito Centella Green Level Eye Cream:
One tube of Purito Centella Green Level Eye Cream down! One left to go! I’ve gone through plenty of this eye cream to say that it’s a pretty below average eye cream. Even though it contains ingredients like centella asiatica extract (49%), shea butter, peptides, sodium hyaluronate, madecassic acid, panthenol, hydrolyzed collagen, cholesterol, macadamia seed oil, and so much more, it didn’t do anything for my eye area/under eyes. It wasn’t moisturizing enough either. It did absolutely nothing to improve my eyes. In my opinion, this product is overhyped. A good moisturizer does the same thing and comes in a bigger bottle than this 30 mL (1 fl. oz.) eye cream. It’s best to save your money.
Benton Fermentation Eye Cream:
Here’s another eye cream I finished this month! It’s the Benton Fermentation Eye Cream. You know, I’m starting to like this eye cream. It’s thick, creamy, and very moisturizing. Maybe it’s because it’s been colder and I’m losing a lot of moisture from the skin around my eyes. My under eyes are getting really dry, but this eye cream has helped replenish the moisture loss along with my other moisturizing skin care products. This eye cream is very rich. Since the texture and consistency of the product is rich and heavy, it’s a bit difficult to spread. I love how moisturizing it is, but I would like it if it was easier to blend into the skin. I’ll keep using it for the rest of winter and see if I’ll repurchase or not. I currently have 2 tubes left. I think that’s more than enough until next year. One tube lasts for months anyways.
Purito Centella Green Level Buffet Serum:
Unfortunately for me, I purchased a bunch of the Purito Centella Green Level Buffer Serum, lol. I stopped using this serum months ago. I’m glad I did. I haven’t noticed a difference after dropping it from my routine since. My skin doesn’t miss it at all. It has centella asiatica extract (49%), niacinamide, sodium hyaluronate, asiatic acid, madecassic acid, peptides, panthenol, and lots of other beneficial skin care ingredients, but it didn’t do anything for my skin. It provides temporary moisture and soothing effects, but that’s it. I didn’t notice a huge difference in my skin using it. It didn’t make my skin brighter, healthier, or even supple as it claims to do. I guess this serum could work if you’re searching for a basic serum and have sensitive skin. For me, it’s not for me. Seems like a waste of money for something that doesn’t improve my skin over time. It doesn’t really moisturize my skin either.
The Ordinary Matrixyl 10% + HA:
One more The Ordinary Matrixyl 10% + HA down! I did an update on this product not so long ago. I tried using it as an eye serum instead of a facial serum. It didn’t work out. The serum didn’t help with fine lines or wrinkles. It dried my under eyes out and pilled under my other skin care products. It didn’t work underneath sunscreen either. I never saw results with this serum. I just stopped using it anywhere near my face.
The Ordinary Retinol 1% in Squalane:
I haven’t been using The Ordinary Retinol 1% in Squalane on my face. I’ve been using it on my body. This retinol serum clogs my pores (on my face). The other ingredients in this product are not compatible with my skin. It’s just way too oily. I have a few more bottles left of this serum. I’m glad I knocked one out by the end of the year. It’s a very moisturizing retinol serum. It’s gentle on the skin. I can’t tell if it’s doing anything for the skin on my body. I just can’t tell. I don’t have any skin issues on my body besides some dryness once in a blue moon (during the winter). This is another product I’m trying to finish up from The Ordinary, lol.
The Ordinary Ascorbic Acid 8% Alpha Arbutin 2%:
One more The Ordinary serum I finished up this month! I’m officially on my last bottle of The Ordinary Ascorbic Acid 8% Alpha Arbutin 2%. I’m ready to just be done with it. So this serum is still oily and greasy. I love the ingredients in it still. If it doesn’t work on my facial skin, I can’t do anything about it. It clogs my pores and irritates it to no end. I’ve tried it so many times with the same terrible results. It also turns my face orange. I walked around with a bright orange glow to my skin all year round because of this product. 😆
The Ordinary 100% L-Ascorbic Acid Powder:
It took me nearly a year to finish a jar of this vitamin c powder. It’s finally done, and I’m not purchasing another one. In my opinion, it’s not worth it. Ascorbic acid powder can be easily purchased at a much more affordable, lower price than what The Ordinary is selling it for. I love the tiny jar that it comes in, and I’m still using it for my antioxidant powders. But, I’m pretty much done with this particular product. Results were mediocre. I didn’t notice that much of a difference in my skin. I’m still trying to fade acne marks. It’s time to try another vitamin c product out!
I finished The Ordinary Pycnogenol 5%! It’s the last bottle too! Yay! No more! The Ordinary Pycnogenol 5% did nothing for my skin but left my skin feeling oily like a whole bunch of other The Ordinary products I’ve used. It’s so oily and greasy. It didn’t do anything for my skin either. It’s supposed to enhance hydration (nope!) and improve elasticity (nope!). Scavenge free radicals and recycle oxidized vitamin c (who knows if it did any of that). I just can’t tell. Is it doing anything?!! I’m over it. I’m glad I’m done with it. I won’t purchase it again. It took me soooo long to finish the last bottle.
It’s been quite a year. December seems to have the most empties. I’m just cleaning out for the new year! 🥳🎉 Merry Christmas everyone!!

I Stopped Using Horse Cream. What Happened?
I decided to stop using horse cream this morning. This cream (GUERISSON 9 Complex Cream) has done wonders for my skin. It deeply moisturized, helped to minimize dry skin and flakes, strengthened my skin, made it look more vibrant and elastic, and simply made it look wonderous. I think it helped with fine lines and wrinkles as well! I noticed that my skin appeared more bouncy, glowy, and more plump! My skin looked softer and smoother while using this cream! I truly loved the results! All of that is great, and I wish I could continue to use the cream, but all good things must come to an end. Well, that applies to this cream. 😢 This is what happened…
After nearly 2 weeks of using this cream, I noticed clogged pores on my forehead and nose (t-zone area). I didn’t notice any breakouts anywhere else. So, they were mainly in my oily areas. I think this cream is making my skin more oily and sealing in that moisture that it’s providing including my natural sebum. Honestly, I think the problem is how this cream has too much of a silicone feel to it. It contains dimethicone, cyclopentasiloxane (not once but twice!), and beeswax. Beeswax might’ve been a big issue. I don’t use any other skin care products with this ingredient (not that I know of) because it clogs my pores. It didn’t feel like the cream ever fully absorbed into my skin. It sat on my skin, so to speak. Yeah, I just took the risk and tried out the cream, lol. It also contains oils, such as Bixa Orellana Seed Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, and Soybean Oil. And of course, horse fat/oil. So, it’s not a very oily skin-friendly product. Still, I went forth with the cream. hah.
So, the results were spectacular until my skin started to get bumpy. I’m just glad that the clogged pores aren’t all over my face. It’s just in a few spots. They should clear up after a few days of discontinuing the cream. Currently, since I’m not using it on my face anymore (very disappointed!!!), I’ll use the rest of the cream as an eye cream and neck cream, which was essentially what I was doing before. Wow, it was just too good to be true. 😭 Well! On to something that’s more suitable for my skin type!

Tonight’s Results From Using Horse Cream.
My results were really good from last night. I was really ecstatic because of this. You can read more about my experience right here. So I just washed my face. My skin feels SO SOFT! I had dry skin and flakes that were easily removed due to how the cream moisturized my skin. It’s like it healed my skin from dryness. I love it! Also, I noticed that this cream prevents my sunscreen from drying my skin out or at least minimize the drying effect I get from it. My sunscreen contains mineral filters! They’re effective at protecting the skin from UVA and UVB rays, but I can’t stand the drying effect it has on my skin. It makes my skin look terrible, especially when my makeup dries my skin out too. That’s a double whammy! But this cream helps to reverse that dryness and flakiness that I experience. So, this cream did a great job at making my skin look nourished and hydrated during the day. Yay!
So, it looks like I like the cream and what it does to/for my skin. The results are very nice. But I’m just worried that it might break me out. After today, I noticed a single pimple on my forehead but that’s it. I didn’t see any other pimples anywhere. My skin is pretty much clear all over. I’m not sure if it’s from the cream or not. SO! I decided to go on and continue to use the cream. I also was able to increase my use of chemical exfoliants tonight to fight against breakouts in general plus that random pimple, haha! Since the cream is just so deeply moisturizing and nourishing. It’s such an amazing cream that seems to work. Well! I hope the pimple reduces in size tomorrow. My skin feels and looks healthy overall. It’s strengthening my moisture barrier. My face was burning a little bit from my acne treatments but not anymore. Now let’s see what’s going to happen tomorrow! Stay tuned for the next update!
If you missed out, here it is again!

My Results After Using Horse Cream on My Face for a Night!
So I used horse cream on my face last night. This cream right here: GUERISSON 9 Complex Cream!! I thought I would give it try and use it on my facial skin instead. When I first used the cream, I thought it was too rich, too thick, too heavy, and way too buttery for my oily, acne-prone skin. But I’ve dealing with dry, flaky skin lately. Even my Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream wasn’t helping with the dryness and flakiness. It made it very difficult to wear foundation. My skin looked worse. Every single little dryness was accentuated. I didn’t like that at all. So after a night of using this horse cream on my face, this is what happened…
In my last post on this horse cream, I mentioned that I’ve been using it as an eye cream and a neck cream only. And it’s been working amazingly for those areas. It leaves my eye area and neck feel oh-so-moisturized throughout the day. The cream has been working very well for me. Even though I like Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Face Cream, the horse cream takes it up a notch when it comes to moisture. It really, truly does replenishes the skin with a surge of moisture. My skin feels SO moisturized after adding it into my routine. So that’s one of the reasons why I decided to use it on my face. And of course, I have it, so why not just try it out!
When I was applying the cream to my face, I noticed that it has this silicone-feel to it, which was expected because the cream contains dimethicone, cyclopentasiloxane (twice!), and beeswax. It’s also not an oil-free cream. Obviously. It has horse fat/horse oil in it. Besides horse oil, it contains Bixa Orellana Seed Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, and Soybean Oil. With these ingredients, I was afraid that it might clog my pores. But, good news, it’s been a fortunate experience after a night of using this cream. I woke up today with skin that’s more hydrated, smoother, and softer in appearance. The difference was pretty big. My moisture barrier feels and looks so healthy! It simply works so much better compared to Eucerin! Why???????!! 😥 I believe it’s the HORSE FAT! This stuff is amazing!
But did it clog my pores??? Dun dun dun…
Not that I know of yet. I didn’t notice any breakouts this morning. Just hydrated, smooth, soft skin that looks really healthy and moisturized. My makeup (foundation) went on better and looked better on my skin. My skin IS glowing! This is just insane how my skin looks so good just by using this cream on my face. None of my other moisturizers could do this. It also softened some fine lines and wrinkles too. WOW, I’m stunned. It’s too good to be true. I’ll make a new update soon on what’s going on. I just hope it doesn’t break me out! I just found something that improves the quality of my skin and actually moisturizes and gets rid of dry, flaky skin!
Stay tuned for my next update! 😃👌🏻

1 Month Results SOME BY MI Niacin 30 Days Miracle Brightening Sleeping Mask!!
It’s been about 1 MONTH using SOME BY MI Niacin 30 Days Miracle Brightening Sleeping Mask! Here’s my experience after using it for a month!
So I started off using the sleeping mask a few times a week at night. That’s what a sleeping mask is for. You use it a few times at night. But you can use it more often at night too if you want. Honestly, a sleeping mask from my experience feels just like any other moisturizer. Moisturizers can range from being lightweight, fast-absorbing to rich and creamy. This sleeping mask falls under the lightweight, fast-absorbing, gel-serum category. It’s so lightweight that it doesn’t even feel like a true moisturizer. More like a gel-cream-serum type of product. That works for me because I have oily skin. Heavier skin care products tend to clog my pores and make my skin appear more oily than ever! So if you have dry skin, this may or may not work for you. It feels like it would work better for someone with combination-oily skin. It absorbs the oilies on my face pretty well, but it doesn’t leave my skin feeling too tight due to the natural oiliness of my skin. I always follow-up with another moisturizing moisturizer just in case. This moisturizer isn’t that moisturizing. Technically, I use it as a gel-serum.
This sleeping mask contains beneficial skin care ingredients, such as citrus junos fruit extract (70.5%), niacinamide (5%), panthenol, and jojoba seed oil. Also, it contains peppermint, hippophae rhamnoides fruit extract, arbutin, glutathione, ascorbic acid, and biotin. This sleeping mask contains a lot of ingredients that’ll help to brighten the skin. But did it brighten my skin??? I’m intrigued by the ingredients! It looks SO GOOD!!! 😍
Alright! For the first 3 weeks, I only used it a few times a week (at night). I took it pretty slow. I didn’t know how my skin would react to the sleeping mask. I was afraid that it might break me out. It does contain jojoba seed oil. Jojoba seed oil is a hit or miss on my skin. It may or may not work. In other words, it may or may not break me out. Luckily for me, it didn’t break me out, but there’s another product that I have from SOME BY MI that destroyed my skin. Go here to read about it ~ SOME BY MI Yuja Niacin Brightening Moisture Gel Cream ~ Back to the sleeping mask! When I used the sleeping mask every day (am + pm) for a week, I noticed my overall complexion glowed! It looked brighter and more even-toned. I can’t tell if it helped to fade acne marks. Acne marks can take months to fade. It’s a long process. I’ll have to give it more time to work on acne marks. I’m hoping in the next few weeks that I’ll see some changes in my skin. Let’s just hope! lol. The same applies to dark under eye circles. The ingredients in this product look so good for dark under eye circles. I hope it’ll improve my under eyes too. But, unfortunately, there’s no effect on my freckles. It’s not like I’m trying to fade my freckles. But I just noticed that they haven’t budged, haha. I still have freckles all over my nose and cheeks. Oh well! They’re here to stay! hehe! 🙃
With this sleeping mask, I’m just really glad that I didn’t break out from it. I’m so surprised since it’s not oil-free. Cheers to a new moisturizer in my skin care routine! Cheers to a product that contains niacinamide that works on my skin! I’ve yet found a good product that contains niacinamide that WORKS and didn’t irritate my skin! I’ve been looking forward to using this product every day. It just sinks into my skin and doesn’t leave my skin looking shiny. Great for mornings to control the oilies. It’s working so well so far! Stay tuned for my next update. Coming soon! See you all there! 🙂
